Rewind Hey ! Thanks again for the compliment :) Yeah, both video and sound quality are important to me. That why i bought a high quality "Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro" to attach to my Hero4. Feel free to share the movies on social media if you like them so much ;) I'm looking for more viewers and subscribers. Thanks allot !! A new movie is processing as we speak, and will be online in about an hour.

Hey buddy, like your videos. I'm a retired engineer, I think you should show em doing prep before the start up. Pre- lube then roll em and blow em, then start up.Keep the videos coming, their great to watch! My last ship had an Akasaka out of a Japanese war ship!

Usually big ship engines are prelubed with stand by pump when engine is not running so oil Flows trough engine when they are at stand by. Engine blow is not needed every time when you start the engine. It depends which engine it is but at some ships there is time limit between need for engine blow.

In a nutshell, can you tell me how exactly these giant engines are started?

      Compressed air

For the vid, I think it was running the generator motor turning it into a starter and crank the engine... Is the tug Diesel electric with azimuth pods? This is possible... But most and all the time, compressed air always gets the job done too....

@@kimpatz2189 All the tugs he's shown on this channel are compressed air started, and they've got Voith-Schneider mechanical azimuth thrusters

The guy who kick starts that thing must have calves of steel.
