Thank you for this video and thanks to everyone who has deposited useful information in the comments. I have never been to Ghana, but I was also of the understanding that blacks in the U.S., Caribbean and the U.K. could participate in the Right to Abode program. My understanding is that it was extended to us as a way to welcome us back to the home of our ancestors who never got the chance to return due to slavery. I was a bit disheartened to learn elsewhere that Rita Marley is the only person to have been welcomed through the program and am even more disappointed to now hear in your comments that it is possibly being phased out. Things are very bad here in America for black people. It may not seem like it on the surface because many of us have decent jobs and homes, but there's so much else going on which affects us so deeply on an emotional and a spiritual level. Upon hearing of the Right to Abode program in Ghana, I thought it was an excellent way for us to reconnect with our homeland--a place where we were being welcomed and where we could find respite without having to give up our U.S. citizenship. Still, I'm glad that you have made this video and I'm glad to know that, even without the program, we can still enjoy extended stays in Ghana. You mentioned getting a work visa there and I'm wondering how Ghanaians feel about foreigners taking jobs? Also, how are blacks who are not part Ghanaian treated when they try to live there?
Hi. I'm glad the video is clearing up some issues for you. I agree it is sad that right to abode is such a difficult thing to get here and to be honest I'm confused myself. Yes you can get a work visa but its usually "expats" that go for this type of thing not so much repats. I have found that a lot of repats want to create their own. A lot of foreigners start companies here and sometimes hire expats from abroad to work higher up the chain, which is a real shame. This is one of the reasons that I am so passionate that we need to come back to Africa and invest here. I know Africa has its problems but so does every country but the only way to make it better is to come and invest our money here, set up businesses, employ local people, train them if need be. But we don't which is really sad. Ghanaians are very friendly people and are always welcoming of other blacks who are not Ghanaian, they see us as one to a degree. Its can be tough here for local people regarding jobs but if truth be told a lot of training in some industries is needed before the higher level jobs can be given to locals and thats the honest truth.
Very good to know, thanks! Your mentioning repats and expats has given me food for thought as to how either applies to African Americans like myself. I've never really delved into the differences between the two. Being that most of us don't have a direct ancestor that we can identify as Ghanaian, I'm guessing we'd fall into the expat category there. But, then again, for those who do take up residency in W. Africa, they are returning as former prisoners/enslaved peoples who would select W. Africa based on it being our ancestral home and, thus, be repats. Interesting to ponder!
ELStands Ghana 🇬🇭 let repatriated go through that process to allow gradual transition to the culture an dealings to reduce shock and prevent overturn from repatriated people as happened in Liberia 🇱🇷 years ago ended up with war between the locals and the repats from the USA 🇺🇸.
I'm from the Bahamas and they Ghana (immigration) make it so herd for Bahamians to travel to Ghana/Nigeria also, we have to travel to Cuba to get a visa. That cost money, to pay for tickets and hotel like seriously!! They needs to fix this for us to come and visit the countries on which we came from. I really want's to visit Ghana but the process is difficult for Bahamians..... To thank that we need NO vise to go to the USA, EUROPE, and 16+ African countries, but the countries we are descendant from according to our history we are of west African descendant and we need visa. Note the African countries that we don't need visa for is of South and Eastern. Why do we i mean all wast African descendant need visa to come back HOME to stay or VISIT this need to be FIX by the AUTHORITY. Thanks for the information.
They trying to implement visa on arrival for Diasporians.they just passed visa on arrival for continental African countries. its a process we shall get there
Ghana citizenship act: If you have one Ghanaian born parent and one Ghanaian born grandparent you are an automatic citizen. go to ministry of the interior (Next to Stadium in Accra) and pay 500 Ghs and then later 100 Ghs. The application process will involve copies of the birth certificate and Ghanaian passport of one of your parents along with your birth certificate and passport.
Bridgette not anymore, now you can apply for a visa on arrival ,and the good thing is that you can apply for a right of abode if you are truly from Bahamas
One solution might be to obtain visa of the neighboring countries and just take a road trip or flight over to Lome or Abidjan. That breaks the time in Ghana and gives you opportunity to see other places. It is possible to get a 7 day visa at the Togo-Ghana border. The 5 year multiple entry visa is an option for Americans. I am not sure about UK.
+Cornell Sinclair travelling to neighbouring countries is fine as long as you can be bothered to do that every so often. With a family like mine it would just be too much hassle. Even going to the beach is like packing for a 1 week holiday, lol.
Hello my name is Tracy Coutant thanks for all your lovely vidéo oh sorry i thing i said that in French i Will be coming To Ghana in August to my see my big brother for 1st time in 31 years and your vidéo help me so mush i just wanted to say thank you. Many bisous 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
I just returned from Accra and while there recieved my residency. Although must renew every year. Took one week for processing. Will return in June. Thoroughly enjoy Accra. Next is the work permit. Which is expensive.
@@ladysaw999 Good evening, basically you must have at least two citizens that will stand (vouch) for you as a good person. Turn over your passport to Immigration, they will give you a receipt for your passport. And they will notify you of the results. You receive residency and will be renewable every anniversary.
@@ladysaw999 However, I forgot to mention, you will have to go through an interview with a Ghanaian Immigration official. It can take 10 minutes or could go longer. But it is not very hard.
@@ladysaw999 Good morning, I can`t say for sure, I was close to departing within a couple of weeks. It may have been the two citizens that stood for me, my wife and her uncle may be a great help. And maybe because I had traveled there seven times within fifteen months. That may have made an impact. Ghana Immigration personnel were great as well.
Furious Styles Dual citizenship? Can't stand the country you're living? Yet you still hesitate to cut the strings of benefits and a place of safe haven in case the shit hits the fan in Ghana. Damn
First of all, I would not use the tag as Furious. Dual citizenship is like the U.S. it just does not happen quickly. On my behalf, I am married to a Ghanian citizen. It could be easier for me to gain dual citizenship because of my wife. However, it still could be at least after living in the country a couple of years before that application.
I remember in 2012 I took a 6 months visa and didn't know they stamped my passport 60 days and I overstayed for over a month. So when I was coming back to the UK, they took me to the immigration section and they was like you overstayed so I need to pay 20gh cedi. I said no because I don't have money, I did but I was gonna use it to buy food so in the end I had to be really nice and comical so they could let me go and they did. Me personally I'm not paying no residency fees or anything when I go to officially live in Ghana because I'm going into agriculture. Ghana is so long when it comes to certain things.
Yh the visa thing hit me hard when it was time for me to leave Ghana. Was there for 1 year but the stamp was for only 2 months which I wasn't aware. Ended up paying the money (reduced price, they gave me 1 month off) which went straight into the pockets of the staff, got a receipt so that I could collect the money from my dad lol. For clarification, a visa only allow ENTRY into the country. It's the officials who decided how long you can stay for and this varies depending on the country.
I'm glad I didn't watch this video before I went or I probably wouldn't have gone. I didn't really have any problems at all. I guess everyone's experiences are different...
You can be a dual citizenship (except Germany and a few other countries as well). No visa! Come and go as you please. Purchase land etc without problem. Just can't run for president of Ghana. This is what I have, you get the benefit of both countries and can go in both immigration lines at the airport aka you can pick the shortest which is a bonus for me 😜. As long as you have one Ghanaian grandparent or married to a Ghanaian you can get a Ghanaian passport. My mum and a few of my cousins have the "green card" thing not to be mistaken for the American green card. Basically you can travel with little book which is green. It has both British and Ghanaian passport numbers in it. You can travel with that alone between Ghana and the U.K. without either of the passports with you but you have to be a dual citizen to get this. I'm thinking about getting this. Plus the cost of renewing a Ghana passport (10 years) and getting a visa was the same price (5+ years ago).
Moving to Ghana will cost money. You will need to know someone to go there. Wow. Do you know what the government will do for the returns that plan to visit Ghana in 2019?
Really like this video Teaching me alot. Plan on coming in Nov. for 3 weeks to check out everything then moving there shortly after. Plan on getting a truck driver job to start and opening up a business (restaurant) Can you provide any info on these things
+Elise Grace I know people who have done it through marriage but not any individuals yet. I’ve recently come across something called an extended stay visa so I’m looking into it.
There are quite a few, actually. I just got back from Ghana and some of us have been in Ghana for over 20 years. They just actually got their dual citizenship last year, so they must have been legal residents. Some of them had not even been back to visit the states. I am moving to Ghana this spring, but I am also getting married, so my situation is different.
I have a 2 year visa. I visited last year and plan to visit again sept. Does this mean I can’t travel again on that 2 year visa? Should I apply for another visa ? I was thinking I could travel unlimited on that 2 year visa until the 2 years expire.
The type of visa you got is what my Aunty had to come to the uk. I can't deal with the Ghanaian embassy in London. We couldn't renew our Ghanaian passport (long story) so we had go get a visa. I only got 6 months because my British one is due to expire in Nov 16. I got my dad a 2 year one thinking the same as you. They need to make that clear that the visa isn't multiple one.
I had the same problem as Natural Ghana Girl, but i had a five year visa, so I was very confused.... Apparently the Visa and the stamp are two different things. The visa lets you in any way, any how for the time frame it is valid, but the stamp determines how long you can stay each trip. I have also experienced some countries ask me how long I want to stay before they stamp or write the validity day in my passport, sometimes giving me additional time. Ghana though like to catch the uninformed. That shy I got the GH, passport. No limitation on how long I can stay with that one.
+BiContinental Life&Style When I went to sharm el sheikh in 2010. I needed a multiple visa, the multiple visa was to leave the city even for excursions 5 minutes outside the city. A single visa meant that you was staying in the city/resort and not travelling around the country.
No receipt probably means that her money went into someone's wallet, pocket or purse. 😊 Also, people from other countries call the U.S. the "States," but Americans call it the United States. I'm African American.
Hi , I am from india and in ghana I come for a company on business visa. Now I got a job in another company . Can I join , if yes what is the process. Please suggest
Hi, how are things with family ?? How's the baby??? I sincerely missed you, it's been so long since you post a video. I hope all is well, your video are so cool to watch them over. I hope you respond soon I'm kinda worried about you cause you were pregnant. I hope all is well with seriously..... I miss you have great day :-)
Hi! I'm still here. Ive been busy trying to get myself into a routine with baby and homeschooling my other 3 children. I'm planning on getting another video out either this month or next (realistically) Thank you so much for the concern.
can you do a video about the things that you took $2 with you when you when you move down there and some of the things that you took that you may not have needed and some of the things that you did not bring that you ended up wishing you had brought with you and what are some of the things when you're moving that you can actually bring that will work over there and that will be allowed to be brought over there that's what I'm trying to figure out and I'm not having too much success with websites online and I'm trying to figure out if I bring some items over there well I actually be able to use them are some certain items even necessary to bring over there I'm saving and trying to fundraise money to move over there so I'm wondering if I really need to bring my bread machine or just certain types of things like my juicer different things like that and can you even bring those things or you love them once you are on over there thanks again
you can check my channel, an will be doing a documentary in ghana as i will be followed around on video of filing for my residency permit and drivers license....
+Steven Lyles thank you I've found a wealth of information about various aspects of my plan and always welcoming new information whats the title, if not uploaded when do you expect to upload it... thanks again
So, you have family in Ghana but didn’t consult with your family? Even do research yourself? Call the Embassy etc? I mean I am happy that things worked out for y’all though.
All my research came from the embassy. Back then it was very difficult to get information. People tell you different things. A lot has changed in 6 years believe me!
Thank you for the info you gave. However, you talked about serious issues. In the future, maybe, you could check the points you want to publicize and have some researched facts ready for us. You didn't remember or you weren't sure. Still though, you're doing a good job. Thanks again.😊
I hear you. I tend to talk through my thoughts quite a lot. Residency is a difficult one. It’s hard to know where to start but I take your tips on board. Thank you.
We are currently in the uk and want to leave for Ghana as soon as the borders open, the only issue we are having is finding information regarding which visa we need we intend to leave UK for good, can I apply for a visa at the airport when we land or do I have to start the process from here, because in this time I’ve heard about sending your passport off to the embassy to apply for a visa and with all the covid delays I don’t fee comfortable sending our passports off anywhere, I have also seen website that say you can apply online and pick visa at the airport but nothing seems official or clear at all, can anyone shed some light on this we intend to be about of the UK before then end of August any info will be much appreciated
Honestly I’m a bit lost with the whole process. My experience was that you had to apply before coming to Ghana. You could apply by post or in person. I’ve only ever applied in person.
Americans give 5 yrs visas but it that’s not mean u can stay in America for 5 yrs So When u are given 2 yrs visas that doesn’t Mean u got to stay in Ghana for 2 yrs girl
Can you explain what the Ghana Passport that you have looks like? Because I didn't know there were two kinds. I have one too and I consider it dual citizenship without the actual dual citizenship. I don't need my visa anymore and they don't harass me at Kotoka when I'm leaving and I use it for entry..... And the rules or exclusion for US dual citizenship holders is the same for US citizens. But I honestly think if there is a war in GH, and you have a Ghanaian name they will leave us for last anyway. Lol
Hehehe then I'm in trouble too ooo. I am a dual citizen. At the moment all the Ghanaian passports are the same (black). The only difference would be a certificate in one of the pages. This is due to change once the biometric is finally comes in. This should have been introduced by now but there has been a delay. This will mean that all the ECOWS countries will have the same colour passport. The MPs will have a different colour and diplomats/VIPs will have another. I personally think it's worth becoming a dual citizen. You don't need to worry about this now.
Hmmmmm they will just be says oooooooh Akosua, to the back so..... Lol. The Ghanaian passports are black????? Or green? I just got mine and I could have sworn they said is was biometric, I know I was finger printed and some other stuff at the office of ministries. But mine is green and I haven't had issue with it. I think once you have the passport in Ghana will they even bother to ask for a dual citizenship card. I mean the passport says my nationality is Ghanaian so who can challenge me. But what benefits of dual citizenship have you encountered? For me, I wasn't paying the fine again.... And I think that fine was imposed within the last 10 years cuz I would go as a kid and don't ever remember being told I over stayed.
+BiContinental Life&Style haha no way my name is Akosua too! The old one is black and the biometric one is green. They haven't been issuing the biometric here in the uk but I was told they have been in America. Apparently "the machine wasn't working and they only had one machine" (fir all the Ghanaian embassies around the world) For me personally having a Ghana passport is my only form of ID when I am in Ghana. Even though at the banks they keep checking it like it's fake 😒. The benefits I have personally received so far are the same as a Ghanaian citizen such as being able to open a bank account. Dual citizenship come and go freely from the uk to Ghana no visa, no questions. I just get "hi, how was your trip" they check picture and go. If you are Ghanaian/Ghanaian citizen you can inherit land and property without any wahala too.
Haaaaa, I'm not even Akosua, I just randomly picked that. Okay then, I'm good. Makes sense cuz I did get mine in Ghana and it wasn't long enough for it to be outdated. Yeah I agree with the passport but that's why I was saying once you have the passport, it's like dual citizenship without the dual citizen book, that is silly in my opinion. Because I haven't been put in a situation where someone asks for my dual citizen book or papers, so I don't see the point of going into a office and dealing with bad attitudes for yet another paper. I mean I would just bust out mine Chinese Fante Twi situation and hmmmmm and heaving and hoing and they will leave me be.
+BiContinental Life&Style haha, that makes sense if you got it in Ghana. I don't have the dual citizenship book. It's just a certificate in my Ghanaian passport (how they will put the visa in any passport). So if I travel to Ghana i will still have the rights of a UK citizens (as this proves that I am a uk citizen). If a war broke out or the Ghanaian government was overthrown etc. When I enter any uk port (airport or dock) they will know that I'm British and have to let me in by force without question.
Yes, you have 60 days to stay in the country and sort out your visa. When you go to immigration they will tell you all the things you will need to bring. It was made easier for us because we had a contact there but the process was still the same.
If you're black and you live in Europe, Caribbean or United States, Isn't Ghana suppose to give right of passes because of slavery? Don't they give visa to people who ancestry was a slave for free?
Yes I know of right to abode, but its very difficult to get here. I've been told that so far the only person to have successfully got the right to abode is Rita Marley.
I have a Ghanaian friend whom looking to come to the states to leave and she has a 3 yrs Ghanaian passport and wanting to get a Visa for 3 yrs as well. She told me the price to purchase that Visa from Ghana to the States is $7800. I'm asking you do that sounds about right b/c I'm like what Visa cost that amount.
There is no loss of rights for being a dual citizenship. You already have it though. If you have a Ghanian passport. May I suggest you thoroughly read the rules and regulations before applying for visas and never overstay! If a foreigner overstays in the UK or USA they get banned for 10 years! Immigration isn't a game! lol Its very very serious. No excuse for ignorance.
DEONTEFORD no one seems to answer. THAT question bc its a scam! Yeah, you can go Visit, spend. your money to help ghana..but good luck having them actually do RIGHT of their wrong...I decided I want be going. I refuse to VISIT my ancestors home to help the same country of people who refuse to STILL correct a wrong..I saw the apology, but blk accept small distractions way too often..back that apology up! ..I for one, want be standing at the door begging to get back in ...SHAME ON GHANA!/AFRICA! Everyone visiting and lining the country's pockets , when they are done they'll be just like the Mexicans..iced out! ...I refuse to be used! Pay to go SEE the homeland we were sold from and still not welcome back...and I don't mean welcome long enough to spend money, RIGHT of abode, ... NAH! I can get that lack of acceptance where I am.
DEONTEFORD Even their website set up for this..leads no where..its as if they are taking advantage of a peoples pain that THEY helped cause!..but God knows all and HE WILL YET BRING JUDGEMENT !
Does anyone know if I, an American, can live the rest of my life in Ghana and just keep giving them their 40 cedis per month forever? Still cheaper than driving to Lome every 8 weeks! Will they eventually arrest me or just keep taking the 40 cedis per month and leave me alone?
Good question, I guess either you get a work permit or set up a company if you don't know anyone to be guarantor for you so you can get a residents permit.
+Kashif Ali Khan I'm not sure unfortunately. I think you have to register and take some type of exam before you can practice here but I don't know too much about it to be honest.
I have both the British and Ghanaian passports. I am going to Ghana to live for good. Which option is best? Option 1; get a 5 year Ghanaian Visa into the British passport and keep renewing ? Option 2; Go to Ghana with the Ghanaian passport which has the indefinite leave to remain in it?
+Isaac Narh In my opinion if you have indefinite leave for Ghana then I would use that. Doing a 5 year visa for coming to Ghana is pointless because when you get to the airport in GH they will stamp 60 days in your passport. The 5 year visa is only of benefit if you will be going back and forth a lot, you will still only have permission to be here for 60 days.
you can check my channel, an will be doing a documentary in ghana as i will be followed around on video of filing for my residency permit and drivers license..
Hold on, what did you say? $200,000 to start a business in Ghana with you and a Ghanaian citizen?. That alone will deter most foreign companies from even coming to Ghana. These are the correct fees>www.doingbusiness.org/data/exploretopics/starting-a-business
How are you. my wife and I love your videos. We was just in Ghana in Nov. 2018. We want to move there within a year. How do we move there permanently if they are not giving citizenship or are they.
3,000 cedis? No way. It probably won't have an engine, lol. You could probably get something small for around 10,000 though but you would need to do some good checks on it first.
this makes me hesitant to come to ghana or establish citizenship. if you aren't fully financially secure or have a fully functioning business, you're going to be in a world of trouble. makes it hard for a business startup to even want to come to africa. shows that they are still broken by the european financial manipulation of the 1950s. i shudder to think what the arabized african nations will be like. and they're where i intend to bring my desalination technology smh. africa must want to stay in a weak position compared to whites and asians
Thank you. $500,000?!! absolutely not. because of you i'm going to mauritania. i have an option of volunteering in ghana for free, room and board and food taken care of, but i'd rather bring my new desalination technology to the desert and hustle and grind my way to the top. Love you! be safe, queen. Ase.
FrnnkEducation. When I last visited Ghana an American was doing very well selling purified water. He was in the process of opening another purification plant. By the way it's bagged water.
From the title of your name, I am assuming at least of your parents is Ghanian, if so, why didn't you apply for a Ghanian passport at the Ghanian High Commission in London. Since you qualify for dual citizenship.
Both my parents are Ghanaian, I do have a Ghanaian passport but I have not applied for dual citizenship as I want someone to be able to explain the full implications to me first. So far no one knows.
What can you do?? Don't go to Ghana. In fact, the bribery situation sounds horrendous. And makes me personally a little concerned about the country as a whole.
Well if war breaks out in Ghana I wish you all the luck in the world because you will certainly need it.Let me correct one point, once you have left the UK basically the British Government washes their hands of you the only help you will get is the right to make a phone call to a relative nothing else. There are thousands of people living on pensions which are fixed the day they leave the UK this could well be 20 years ago.Britain does not have any bilateral agreements with any Commonwealth country basically because it would cost them a lot a lot of money. It seems one of the things that Ghana still holds onto from their old Colonial masters is a love of red tape which is well illustrated by your comments. If its any comfort India & Pakistan also retain a love of red tape too.I always enjoy your clips & if I may pay you a compliment I think you have the best set of teeth I have ever seen.Have a good month I see its been raining quite a bit over the last week.
I haven't officially "left" the UK yet I guess I'm just a wonderer between Ghana and the UK but I fully take your point on if war was to break out. Yes its been raining so much here recently, I hope through all of this at least the plantain will get enough water so the price can come back down. I'm missing out on my kelewele too much. Lol. Thanks for the compliment too :)
Kwame Thomas You're right. Why would anybody want rage war for nothing? It's not like Ghana would be worth the effort......... Unless the warlords get bored of Liberia.
Its rediculous lol. As poor and ass backwards Ghana is they should be begging westerners to go spend there money and live there not make it more difficult
Rocky Alvarez you're a jerk, what do western people own apart from specialising in stealing ideas and made it their own. It's a shame African leaders are so corrupt and not bringing the best of africa. You talk out of ignorance without studying the qualities and resources of the land. We don't need westerners in Africa, stay away from our beautiful land. You only come to spy, steal, destroy and causes division.

How do you gain citizenship or dual citizenship?
Basically I found your video basically very informative. Thank you 😅🙌🏾👏🏾
Basically I understand what you are saying. Thank you
I just returned from Accra and while there recieved my residency. Although must renew every year. Took one week for processing. Will return in June. Thoroughly enjoy Accra. Next is the work permit. Which is expensive.
Robert Antoine ohh wow great. I would love to know more about how you got your residency so fast.
@@ladysaw999
Good evening, basically you must have at least two citizens that will stand (vouch) for you as a good person. Turn over your passport to Immigration, they will give you a receipt for your passport. And they will notify you of the results. You receive residency and will be renewable every anniversary.
@@ladysaw999
However, I forgot to mention, you will have to go through an interview with a Ghanaian Immigration official. It can take 10 minutes or could go longer. But it is not very hard.
@@ladysaw999 Good morning,
I can`t say for sure, I was close to departing within a couple of weeks. It may have been the two citizens that stood for me, my wife and her uncle may be a great help. And maybe because I had traveled there seven times within fifteen months. That may have made an impact. Ghana Immigration personnel were great as well.
@@robertantoine8816 OK thank you so much you were a great help
How is the dual citizenship status in Ghana? What does that process involve?
Furious Styles
Dual citizenship?
Can't stand the country you're living?
Yet you still hesitate to cut the strings of benefits and a place of safe haven in case the shit hits the fan in Ghana.
Damn
First of all, I would not use the tag as Furious. Dual citizenship is like the U.S. it just does not happen quickly. On my behalf, I am married to a Ghanian citizen. It could be easier for me to gain dual citizenship because of my wife. However, it still could be at least after living in the country a couple of years before that application.
@@johnperdue7541 why do we not have any place to discuss without your people coming in with hatred? For crying out loud!!!
Thanks for all the information in your channel; your tips and advices are invaluable
Thank you
I remember in 2012 I took a 6 months visa and didn't know they stamped my passport 60 days and I overstayed for over a month.
Did you get there and into agriculture yet?
The Stanger No I’ve changed my business plans but will still love to do agribusiness
+SoarWithYou thanks for the clarification, that would make sense.
Great video sis please do a part2 to this one
I will be sure to keep it updated.😊
You had me laughing so hard! I love.your video! They were helpful to know, thank you
They did same thing to us. We had over stayed our tourist visa. A family of 5 and overstayed by 18 months😭😭😭fees were outrageous
+TRUE KNOWLEDGE IS POWER ouch!
I'm glad I didn't watch this video before I went or I probably wouldn't have gone. I didn't really have any problems at all. I guess everyone's experiences are different...
How did you apply? They are giving free citizenship now..
LightFly2013 aww you're welcome, just seen your comment by chance.
Moving to Ghana will cost money. You will need to know someone to go there. Wow. Do you know what the government will do for the returns that plan to visit Ghana in 2019?
It is now 60 ghs for each month overstayed
Thank God for your channel. Xx

anyone know of an American who has does this with no relatives Ghana?
+Elise Grace I know people who have done it through marriage but not any individuals yet. I’ve recently come across something called an extended stay visa so I’m looking into it.
There are quite a few, actually. I just got back from Ghana and some of us have been in Ghana for over 20 years. They just actually got their dual citizenship last year, so they must have been legal residents. Some of them had not even been back to visit the states. I am moving to Ghana this spring, but I am also getting married, so my situation is different.
Go to Ghana Native Borne chennel he would help, they have the largest community African American diaspora association in Ghana, they can help.

I have a 2 year visa. I visited last year and plan to visit again sept. Does this mean I can’t travel again on that 2 year visa? Should I apply for another visa ? I was thinking I could travel unlimited on that 2 year visa until the 2 years expire.
thank you for the information ☺
No problem
I’m so lost watching this. It’s too much.. I’m getting choked in red tape..
I know, the rules are really confusing and I can't understand why it's not made clear for everyone to understand.
+Natural Ghana Girl yes they do!
+BiContinental Life&Style So does your passport have right to abode in it?
No receipt probably means that her money went into someone's wallet, pocket or purse. 😊
Also, people from other countries call the U.S. the "States," but Americans call it the United States.
I'm African American.

Natural Ghana Girl Did you guys have return tickets or one way?
AOC we had return as it was cheaper but just never used it.

+Kay Ali I do t think you can, even if it is possible I personally wouldn’t want the agro to be honest.
i had a blast in ghana
is a hostel business in Accra Ghana a good idea ?
Very!
Very good especially if it's closer to a school.
When I enter any uk port (airport or dock) they will know that I'm British and have to let me in by force without question.
my daughter is half Ghanaian (both of us US citizen, myself originally from the Caribbean) do I need to get a Visa to I take her on holiday?
Yes you would need a visa coming to Ghana if she doesn't have a Ghana passport.
are you sayimg that after two months you were able to get a one year visa approved because of your contacts through the immigration?
Yes, you have 60 days to stay in the country and sort out your visa. When you go to immigration they will tell you all the things you will need to bring. It was made easier for us because we had a contact there but the process was still the same.
If you're black and you live in Europe, Caribbean or United States, Isn't Ghana suppose to give right of passes because of slavery? Don't they give visa to people who ancestry was a slave for free?
I've never heard of that before, even if that rule does exist here it is certainly not applied.
The Right to Abode in Ghana?
Yes I know of right to abode, but its very difficult to get here. I've been told that so far the only person to have successfully got the right to abode is Rita Marley.
ok

I have a Ghanaian friend whom looking to come to the states to leave and she has a 3 yrs Ghanaian passport and wanting to get a Visa for 3 yrs as well. She told me the price to purchase that Visa from Ghana to the States is $7800. I'm asking you do that sounds about right b/c I'm like what Visa cost that amount.
+kingfishmonk that sounds excessive to me but I don’t really know. It definitely doesn’t sounds like the “official” way of doing it.
Thank you for getting back with me. I will look into calling either the US embassy and see if I can get some clear information on it.
Is damn too much..

There is no loss of rights for being a dual citizenship. You already have it though. If you have a Ghanian passport.
May I suggest you thoroughly read the rules and regulations before applying for visas and never overstay! If a foreigner overstays in the UK or USA they get banned for 10 years!

"I'm coming...." Lololol, oh Ghana

+Natural Ghana Girl Thanks very much. 👍

this makes me hesitant to come to ghana or establish citizenship. if you aren't fully financially secure or have a fully functioning business, you're going to be in a world of trouble. makes it hard for a business startup to even want to come to africa. shows that they are still broken by the european financial manipulation of the 1950s. i shudder to think what the arabized african nations will be like. and they're where i intend to bring my desalination technology smh. africa must want to stay in a weak position compared to whites and asians
+FrnnkEducation you definitely need a financial game plan before coming
Thank you. $500,000?!! absolutely not. because of you i'm going to mauritania. i have an option of volunteering in ghana for free, room and board and food taken care of, but i'd rather bring my new desalination technology to the desert and hustle and grind my way to the top. Love you! be safe, queen. Ase.
FrnnkEducation. When I last visited Ghana an American was doing very well selling purified water. He was in the process of opening another purification plant. By the way it's bagged water.
I would love to get an apartment for me , well I'm Spanish and Italian
If I am going to Africa, that means I have no desire to go to europe. Direct flights is the way to go.

War in Ghana really!!!
Philip Lewis stupid guy.war gonna break where you are. Idiot.thinking negative to our country ghana.silly guy.
war in todays ghana? lmao. try again brother.
