Thank you sharing. I never heard of these accounts.
You mentioned something about history and nasty events?
Years ago, when I was in Junior High, a new history text book was issued to us students that had some parents upset.
Why? Because it dared to air some of our dirty laundry, that previous texts books had omitted.
It mentioned that the year before the British had burned down Washington D.C., our forefathers had burned down the capital of Canada.
Being that it's human nature to cover over, or white wash our sins and errors, the candor of the 66 books that make up the Inspired Scriptures, is even more refreshing.
When Moses messed up and God and to correct him, the Bible revealed it.
When King David committed adultery with the wife of one of his loyal soldiers, and then in an effort to cover his sin, had him killed in battle, is it not clearly layed out for all to see.?
When the nation of Israel as a whole, was punished by God with the destruction of not only their cities, but also the destruction of God's magnificent temple in Jerusalem, is it not also openly exposed for all to see?
Would the Apostles of Christ Jesus have openly acknowledge that they all abandoned Jesus on the night of his arrest, if they had not put honesty and truth ahead of pride and concern for their reputations?
Truly the candor of the Bible supports its claim of being the inspired Word of God.
When we add to that, it's accuracy when it touches on scientific matters, such as the earth being round, with no material supports holding it up, it's claim of Divine inspiration is only strengthened.
It's amazing ability to foretell future events which such accuracy, such as the capture of the Babylonian Kingdom by the Persian ruler named Cyrus, almost two years before his birth, can not help but convince us! Isaiah 45:1-7
With full assurance we see with our eyes of faith, that very soon the Kingdom, or government that Jesus told us to pray for, will remove the wicked ones, and reward obedient humans with everlasting life forever free of wars, injustice, pain and suffering. Matthew 6:9,10. Daniel 2:44, Micah 4:3,4 Revelation 22: 3-5
