I’m the last person to give Traxxas credit for anything, but as an actual short course truck used in that situation, it’s probably pretty decent. Now I would still take the Mojave any day. But I never expected for the Max Slash to be a basher.
This review makes no sense at all. The Maxx Slash is a large Short Course truck. Put up some cones, in a dirt field, maybe some moguls and some small jumps and you will have your new best RC friend. It just happens to be built on a low CG version of the Maxx platform (the toughest basher that you can get) but that doesn't make it a basher. You might as well buy a Kraton and complain that it's no good at street racing. Or maybe complain about buying an iPhone and wonder why it's no good at pounding nails. -- If on the other hand you truly want to turn it into a basher ... well watch ThunderRC. He's taken his Maxx Slash and made it an insane basher doing jumps 30-40 feet in the air and he loves it. -- And clearly if those wheel/tires can't handle those tiny jumps, it's time to find some new tires ... they're crap.
Today I got my new to me arrma mojave 6s v2 I was thinking traxxas udr but when I see you getting it to the point where it's nice to drive around oh and doing back flips 😂 makes me think again should we give it chance 😂 great video but still arrma where it's at 🤙🏼
Love all brands Traxxas a little less though. Xmaxx is badass but esc/motor needs upgraded. But this thing just go Mojave 4s or 6s. If size doesn't matter and you want a sct tekno sct takes a beating

I just had sum new badlands do the same thing 🤔. UA-cam; maxx slash sucks. Every one i know personally including me; maxx slash is great. Never seen ppl so divided on a RC 😆🤷

Ordered a 4s outcast the other day after watching many of the community vids the opinions are positive mostly .
That 10 degrees from the 80 s to the 70 s makes a difference on my rigs .

Agreed this truck seemed like a flop. They should have built this on a lengthened Sledge chassis/platform.

I have had a lot of fun with my maxx slash. Now you have heard/seen someone who has.
Sounds like a bummer Jason 👎 Lots of money spent on something you don't enjoy. Hate it when that is the result. I would cut your losses and move on.
