Love it! I didn't realize you could cut from violas. Mine have always been so tiny and low to the ground but I never put much effort into them. I'll have to give them a try now! Thank you!
I really like your videos - you are so informative!! I learn so much! I was wondering if you could share where you get your soil block trays yellow and smaller white? Please😊
Love when seed starting time rolls around! I did pick up some epic gardening trays. Although, I had my first successful round of sweet peas (following your presprouting and using the 2”blocks method) I’ll try a few in those too, as an experiment! Good to know larkspur can be seeded directly now. Thanks! Stock went pretty well last year…plants put in the ground on March 18 (I have about the same last frost date as you) took a hard hit of cold under cover, but were able grow out of it. Did do a succession planting 2-3 weeks later. Very rewarding! Curious about snaps…what kinds you might be growing this year and if you’ll also get them started soon and if you’ll grow them on the cool side as well. I’d love to know when you’re starting strawflowers. Lol, late start last season, but did squeak out a handful of blooms. 🙂 my lisianthus already took a short time of dryer on top than I would liked…fingers crossed on those!! Mistakes can happen so easily. First sourdough starter is in the works 😂 another challenge accepted!
I have learned so much from you in this video. I never knew that Lisianthus was a native to Colorado. You are at a lower altitude than I am but I still want to try some of these flowers. We will see what happens. What do you use to heat your greenhouse? I am in the process of finishing my greenhouse this spring.
When you say freezer for cold stratification, are you actually putting them in the freezer or refrigerator section? Didn't know if you were using the term freezer like we use icebox. 😊
What was the first plant you sowed? I heard but each time I couldn't quite catch what you were saying! Love your videos. They are so informative. Thank you!
You didn't mention how long you do the stratification process in the freezer ? I know about this process but have never done it bc Im not sure how long you leave the seeds in the freezer? Thanks if you see this question so late after you did the video ....
In the beginning you planted Larkspur and Bupleurum. Did you mix up the seed packs in your explanation for planting? On my packets for Bupleurum it says to plant 1/4" deep. Just wondering if it does need light to germinate?
Almost half of my stock seedlings turned white last year 😳 it was so weird and I couldn’t find any info on “white seedlings/cotyledons” so I ended up pulling them and restarting but it was bizarre!
I’m considering what it would take to become a flower farmer now 😅 I’ve been trying to decide between learning to soil block, or if I should get those specific trays, I’m stuck!
The Northern Sea Oats seed heads are so cool looking!
Thanks for this video! Very helpful info.
Really enjoying finding this channel and all of the information!
the seeds that need. old stratification - did you actually plant those seeds now in soil blocks or just out the seed packet in the freezer?

They’re so sweet and dainty! Try growing some from johnnys that are a bit taller :)

At least a couple weeks to a month!

Are the stock the only ones you plant out in a low tunnel?
OMG, your sheeps are so cute! Did you get a milk from them?
Unfortunately no, they’re both boys! ❤️
I was going to ask the same thing. What cuties!
Do your sheep eat you plants
Do you bump your stock up to a larger soil block or plant them that tiny ?
Im on the coast of south africa, zone 10B probability, can i grow lisianthus do they need cold to germinate
I have some larkspur seeds, do they need to be cold stratified? I'm in zone 9a and it doesn't say on the packaging 😅

Can all soul blocked seed starts be watered from below?
Like the mud tool better than LMZ potato masher lol
And just like that I need a sheep😅
Stupid question, is your greenhouse heated?
You can watch our greenhouse vid for all those details. :) not a stupid question
