They had some of the best sports commentary programs with Real Sports and Game Theory.
This "coach" is a sociopath.
The handful of kids that represented this documentary seem like really good young men.
Had he had actually been a better person and a real "Coach" he could have positively impacted and prepared those kids for football, for life.
Instead of 15 minutes of fame. God bless these young men.

I can't even comprehend how it's possible for a human being - Ray Johnson - to be so despicable. His complete lack of empathy and extreme self-centeredness is just...repulsive. What a terrible person.
It's like he lives in the fantasy world of a three year old. He's just "playing pretend" and people don't realize it.

I didn't know any of the stuff they were talking about. Before this doc . All I heard was fake highschool and constant jokes. But when you hear some of the kids and there background stories it's less and less funny . This guy is an absolute scumbag.

Just finished watching the documentary. Really, really sad what they did to those kids. Roy Johnson is a disgusting con artist. He should be locked up. It was especially upsetting that he was laughing And joking around throughout the show. And at one point some of the kids had to steal food at supermarkets just to eat.
Him laughing is what made this documentary hard to watch

I am so ready for them to be called out. They lived at the complex I worked at, scammed and did not pay multiple businesses in Columbus, OH. I knew something was fishy a whole year before this broke out, like my roommate who was going to school for a teacher and I who majored in communications, felt the school website was fake because there was no real information on it. Also, my coworkers and I did not deserve to be yelled at from the kids parents. Like there is so much to this story, I am not sure if they will cover the other scams but it was ridiculous.

@ozhall3 Yes. People tend to throw the term around more than they should...but when I watched the documentary I really felt like I was watching a textbook sociopath. He really seemed like he just enjoyed manipulating and controlling people and felt no remores or empathy. And it clearly wasn't about the money because there was no money. Also I've never seen anyone enjoy talking about all of the lying and scamming they did as much as him. He was actually bragging and smiling about scamming kids. Sociopath.

Just finished watching this documentary. That man is absolutely repulsive. I feel for the young men he took advantage of. Deprived of an education and many stuck with fraudulent PPP loans in their names, and i don't believe that any of them knew about it. And he's planning on doing it again. Unfortunately there will be too many parents and young men who don't know anything about this sham "school" and will sign up because of lack of other opportunities. Just horrible.

Im very familiar with this situation, because I was actually one of the kids that got a chance to play on lewis's football team that was winning so much. He then kept doing magic tricks around me and ALWAYS ended it with a wink. Eventually, i decided to learn magic and challenge him.
To this day, he has not accepted my challenge, because I made all of this up, and you didnt even notice I just made up up the name Lewis.

Exactly, did not one of the parents get curious about the legitimacy of this school. Especially since the players already had their chance. Even the players trying to act all innocent know that they were an illegitimate team.

Bishop Sycamore was finally exposed by being so inept in a game against IMG Academy in 2021, losing 58-0. Fands, media, pundits...everyone piled on about how ridiculous and lopsided a game it was, and called for an investigation.
In Dec. 2023, Florida State University raised a big stink about being left out of the collge football playoff.
FSU eventually went to the Orange Bowl and played Georgia --- who also did not make the playoff ---- and were decimated by a score of 66-3.
So...yeah.

This man is sick, he knew the exact demographic to go after. Kids with nothing else to lose but a dream. I also fault the parents as well. No way I'm sending my child anywhere without doing the proper research. He would've had to get a round trip plane ticket for me to come and be ok with leaving my child with him. There would've also been frequent check ins. The very BIG KICKER is that they NEVER won a game, at least in 2 years, before even playing IMG. If I'm a parent that would also raise concern, like how to do expect to get your players into a D1 school without winning at least 1 game? Also it seems none of the parents really tried to see their children while they were holed up with this man. None verified their academic progress, this was just a whole mess!! Just sad 😔😔

All the adults should have come through and put an end to it. Even the IMG coach should be able to tell those kids are getting unusually f’d up. At some point you have to realize your opponent isn’t worthy of the game and it’s time to call uncle for them.
