    Hello! I teach a College Prep and Testing Class in a high school you are visiting. I appreciate and agree with what you say about test optional policies, however, I would also encourage you to add the many academic and important skills students get from learning the logic and reasoning incorporated in test taking. They are of enormous value. This is not to mention tests will never again be optional for students and the attitude of skipping a test (flawed or not) creates a trajectory of poor habits. As I tell my students in life "there are those who do versus those who don't". Students should always be encouraged to do more.

    This is hands down the worst thing they could have done to kids. The ivys and 2 and 3rd tier schools will enjoy the massive dump of applications but their overly taxed admission officers will simply dump those kids without scores.
