I need to do my exams as soon as possible and in the place that I’m leaving ,colleges require both SAT general and subject tests. I’m a senior student. the deadline for the college that I will be applying is in the end of October, so I need to do my test and due to circumstances it’s very hard for us to do it in august or September. is there a way we could do it online ? Can you please make a video about SAT and SAT subject tests thanks
Guys, he’s speaking facts but at the same time this guy is saying all this because as more schools become test optional the more money Princeton will lose😂
"On the other side of the same coin, if you submit, you could be helped" (1:25). [Test results] "may provide a distinguishing and important factor" (4:57). It is impossible for scores to help an applicant without harming a student lacking test results. The objective is acceptance, so to be helped means to have the scores contribute to a "yes" decision. If students with tests have this added bit of help and students without tests do not, then the students without tests are at a disadvantage _even if_ the absence of scores isn't explicitly penalized. The only way for students to be treated equitably across the board is for scores to be utterly ignored for everyone. Suppose an applicant acts in reliance upon the promise that they will not be at a disadvantage by skipping testing they otherwise would have done. If that person can argue that they were harmed via reduced probability of acceptance because others were helped by their scores, then surely the school will be at risk. Yet, that seems to be what they are saying here and elsewhere. It makes no sense.
That’s exactly what I’m thinking. What sucks even more is all these tests are getting cancelled so not everyone gets a fair chance. A kid with a 1500 and great essays would def get more favored than a kid with just great essays. People risking their lives to take a test during a pandemic is extremely bizarre.
The long term effect of Universities not requiring the SAT will mean that other small tests ill be required like the U of California system which may create their own in 5 yrs. I think the data will become more difficult to see large trends in American education if students are using so many different tests. I would think the SAT Subject tests could then become very valuable to College admissions. Can you comment on a long term testing strategy for students?
Hi , I’m a currently a senior in high school and my gpa is a 4.2 weighted . I’m wondering should I keep taking the Act ? How will Scholarships be determined if the Act are optional ?
Jordan Jonezz Senior to Senior, my GPA is 4.31 and I’m not taking any test due to my family being worried about me. Additionally, I’m doing early decision so it would be too late to submit it for me personally. If you’re doing a general admission, I suggest taking it. Additionally, many scholarships don’t require test scores. Also look at FAFSA! It’s an amazing grant from the federal govt. for amazing students such as yourself. Hope this helps!
Unfortunately in India it’s becoming difficult to appear for SAT/ACT as the situation is worsening day by day and students are under mental pressure when they will get an opportunity to appear for exam and can achieve better scores than before.it’s completely dicey whether these exams will tk place on the scheduled date or no. Shall the students go for applications with the present scores which might not satisfying for some of the universities???? In Maharashtra (India) COVID-19 casas have been increasing like wildfire and everytime the planed dates /centres get cancelled.uptill now they have got cancelled for 4 times.
I am taking SAT this August, Better stand out rather being in a pool of sharks waiting to be killed ( Taking SAT will provide a piece of conclusive evidence to admission officers, if you are good your chances are bound to increase)- BEST STRATEGY
Thanks for your comment, and our apologies; Rob misspoke. The ACT has now had an exam administration in a COVID-19 environment, and has another planned for July. The next scheduled SAT exam date is August 29.
Hi. Can I still expect the ACT to be online ? I can’t take any tests at a testing center because my parents don’t want to risk exposure to the virus. Thanks
Hi sir, Sir my GPA is very low now what I have to do .how can I make my profile great for applying my dream school? Thank you hope you will reply soon.

My parents won't let take the SAT/ACT because they're worried I might get the virus. I really have no choice but to go to test-optional schools.
veotic But all of the Ivy league schools, along with many prestigious schools, are test optional so you have plenty of options😏✌️
My parents would probably let me go, but they keep cancelling the tests so yeah... same boat as you. I have no choice but to go test optional.
im curious - how did admissions end up for yall, if you dont mind sharing?
@@maddy6713 got accepted to my in-state universities which i only applied too lol
The SAT is still not testing in California as far as I know.
What to do if extra curricular activists have hurt my academics

Are we allowed to send only certain SAT scores this year? What I mean by this is do we have to send all SAT scores or our highest one?
It depends on the school you’re applying to
You usually get to choose which scores to send

At this rate it'll get cancelled anyways
Kalo Jalapeno same. But if you have an amazing transcript, I would just save your 50 bucks👌
So this is only a 2020 change?
That moment when you want to milk students but can't.
Hi sir,

Thank you
hope you will reply soon.
Depends what your gpa is and what your Dream college requirement is.
If your gpa is low (
Ok
Asians like me are getting screwed over
do colleges care if you only take the SAT or do they prefer taking both?
gabby loren Doesn’t matter. You just have to get a good score.
