Judt to think, this was Ashley's first collab with the guys, and she knocked it out of the ballpark her first time out. We can all thank Cesar, because they were friends and he brought her in
Absolutely. Geoff is Ace of Bass, Eli is Rock God, Layne, master of his craft, Ashley a voice like no other, and what can you say about Cesar? Sass personified? Thw quintessence of cuteness? Hard to find the right words. And I know a lot of words. Both Layne and Geoff make arrangements to blow the mind and give you goosebumps. And we know how Layne loves to challenge Geoff to go above and beyond what he thinks he can do. :) I do support both VP and Geoff but not at a level that gets me a mention. They deserve it so much.
Agreed! I think Cesar especially is hard to catch in a few words, the awesome goes sooo deep! What I love most about him is his expression. I really *feel* what he sings.
@@majonkie Cesar is my favorite. Geoff has the shock factor, but I don't find myself listening to his solo work. I would LOVE it if Cesar made some solo stuff though
Layne has as smooth a voice singing as he does speaking. I was surprised by how calm he is in the Peter Barber interview. Maybe that's why the violin suits him so well.❤
So, this was Ashley's first outing with the boys (thanks Cesar!), and was almost a last minute choice. Originally, they were working on a medley of In the Heights songs but then there was a bunch of controversy surrounding white people taking over the culture/songs of people of colour and so they scrambled to get this song together. Layne and Eli are both Jewish and Geoff states that he "has been an honorary Jew for 20 years" (because of their long running friendship)...they knew that it would be less controversial... I loved this reaction so so much! You made me cackle all the way through...have to ask though, do you need a drink? 😂😂😂
If you're into narrations Geoff has some on his solo channel (varying in length going from a couple of minutes up to about an hour). Just be aware that people use them for relaxation and sleep, so you might want to get yourself extra cozy before hitting play 😊
I would recommend listening to Geoff's narrations with headphones, though. I tried with my bluetooth speakers when I was cooking dinner, but everything in the entire kitchen reverberated to his voice😮 So much better with your cranium taking all the blunt force 😂🤣😂
Layne just couldnt let Ashley show them all up, so he got geoff to do the run up then down like her 😂 and he sounded AH-MAZING. Loved your reaction as always 💜🦌 #DJantlers #DJsHerd
Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. Please please do a reaction video of Voice Plays cover. Peaches ( Bowser, Mario, Luigi, & Toad ). Geoff brings out his inner Rock God in this as well as his bass. Look out Eli, Geoff is coming for you lol. He will blow you away. At the end Peaches shows up, who is one of Layne's daughters. As you may know it is originally done by Jack Black.
I am not a gamer so I had to go watch the Jack Black version, but I love their video. It could be combined with the Minecraft mini and the Critical Role mini for a reaction.
Flummoxed. Discombobulated? I'd add nonplussed or dumbfounded but you can actually speak when they knock you back in surprise. 😂😂 We don't get to hear Layne sing a lot but remember he was the group's baritone before their original beatboxer left to pursue acting. Nice reaction to a song I've loved since being in a high school production of Fiddler On the Roof. And it was wonderful to see and hear you in Sing It Together!
I still just love this one. The arrangement is so creative. It's like a banger you'd hear in the club. They keep the integrity of the song intact while somehow updating it and making it accessible to everyone. It's definitely a special talent and one of the many reasons I love VP so much!
Yeah, I did not expect Geoff to turn on the sex appeal for this song. LOL. And who saw Layne making the old musical song into a hip hop/dubstep piece? And NOBODY saw that flex from Ashley coming. This still stands as one of Voiceplay’s best Evers, even tho they have done some brilliant work since. Loved watching this one take you to pieces. LOL.
🫠🫠🫠thanks for your lovely reaction 😊 I had the same feelings you had when I heard this song for the first time! They are all soooo gooood!!!!! You can almost taste the joy and fun they always have! 😍💚🌹
Love this arrangement, incredible! You should do a trio of shorts and do Peaches last. You won't have the strength left to do more f you start with that one!
Love this reaction Dylan, when I first heard this cover I also thought that Ashley’s part would be more like the Gwen Stefani cover, but I just love this version as it is 🥰 Casper Fox has just released a new song ft Ryan Tang and UK based reactor Jennifer Glatzhofer - it’s a cover of Toxic by Britney Spears and it’s AMAZING!! I’d highly recommend checking it out coz I’ve been replaying it over and over again 🥰
Again Layne took the chance to push Geoff... when he does this high note in the end squirming a little you can watch Layne in the background smirking a little... 🎉😂❤ Love them all and your reactions!
Oh, this is terrific and Ashley is just always amazing. I kept you for dessert and did Huldra Draco's Geoff's dancing compilations. You have seen Bruno right? She has a section with Geoff and Ashley in matching outfits dancing. Oh, my lord. Also I have forgotten A Crimpella that I saw last summer but last week, one of my people found it and I laughed so hard sitting there "What am I watching?" It needs to be seen.
One of the first musicals I ever heard and fell in love with, and they made me love it in a whole new way. This song was FIRE!!! I loved the look that Cesar gave her after her run. It was like "woah Girl"...and then the was that Geoff finished it was soo .....What in the world was that?!?
Yes, It's going to be great. I love this one and how voiceplay made it their own. Can't wait to see you stopping several times with all the wow moments and there a lot of them.
So glad to see you did this one!! Great reaction as always!! I am blown away for this arrangement!! Also happy to see you've reacted to 4 of my top 5 VoicePlay videos!!
Ha! Got another Geoff-gasm out of you with that final part and even another "piss off"! Love it! 😂 Also, any chance of you doing "This is Halloween" or are you saving it for October?
Question for the audience: the section that sounds like it's autotuned ("if I was a rich....man"), when the money's dropping, is that just Ashley being incredibly accurate or is the sound treated? I'm fine either way, and with most performers it would absolutely have to be autotune, but she is _so_ accurate elsewhere I wondered...
Dang it I just missed it!!! Sorry I was killing Orcs in Middle Earth...LOTRO enthusiast. Speaking of, if you haven't you need to listen to Geoff's Misty Mountains song.
if the internet is right, and like a stopped clock it is twice a day., then Ashley is probably Cesars wife. I can only imagine what those crumb crunchers are going to sound like.
@@SPNQueen Thank you. Because they have the same last name they’re automatically married apparently. They met up when they were going to Full Sail University in Florida. People are jumping to conclusions again. I can’t imagine who I would be married to because my last name is really common. But in all fairness to the people who keep saying it it did show up on a website, but seems to be gone now.
This was our first introduction to Ashley, Cesar, with the hat was 'channeling' "Boy George"......as Geoff was hitting his high note, zoom in on Layne.....since HE arranged it..notice his satisfied 'smirk', that Geoff not only did it, but HIT the note......>^^
It’s a good thing that Layne is known for his quick arrangements. (Running up That Hill only took a couple days and he was moving Pattycake Studios while he was working on it.) in this case, they had another medley ready to go, then there was some controversy about the music and they decided to shelve it and do something completely different.
I so fell in love with Ashley's voice when i heard this. I have to say this is one of my favorite VP productions, but aren't they all in their own ways. I'm always blown away by the way they used text painting, the runs, the trap section, the"eastern wall', it is just so much more than the sum of it's parts.
Oh, DJ ... I see from your video list that you've only done a couple of Geoff's solo works. You NEED to see his High and Dry, or Blackbird, or Shenandoah (a beautiful American folk song). You will be amazed!
They really did an amazing job with this one! Also, just a little tidbit, remembering that you noticed a song by Jonathan Young for God of Greed... yeah, that's a brand new original song from him, just released a few days ago. It even has Lauren Babic in it, who he also did You're Gonna Go Far Kid with. She's pretty badass with her metal vocals ;)
I drop everything every time I see you react to one of my comfort Voiceplay songs. This cover/mashup is one of my go to vibey/dancing/singing in the car songs
Judt to think, this was Ashley's first collab with the guys, and she knocked it out of the ballpark her first time out. We can all thank Cesar, because they were friends and he brought her in

I see may "Sir!" moments in this one and a "Ma'am!" in this one as well! Get ready for the Geoffquake!
Layne has as smooth a voice singing as he does speaking. I was surprised by how calm he is in the Peter Barber interview. Maybe that's why the violin suits him so well.❤

Got to the love smirk on Layne's face just before Geoff's low note because he knew what Geoff was about to everyone the first time they saw this.
Voiceplay is so good at leaving people utterly discombobulated
The alternative to flabbergasted you may be looking for: flummoxed!
Cesar is definitely a Sassy Angle with a fantastic fashion sense. This was his first full length song as a full member of Voiceplay
Can we talk about how Cesar looked like he just stepped out of the 80s in his awesome outfit?
That's one always hits me, especially by Cesar. And I love Ashley.
Amazing, sunshine, thank you 💙
after hearing it a hundred times, I still get goosebumps every time! And that run is so Legendary!!!
It’s my understanding that this song is a regular audition piece for baritone and bass voices. Then there’s Geoff. 😂
If you're into narrations Geoff has some on his solo channel (varying in length going from a couple of minutes up to about an hour). Just be aware that people use them for relaxation and sleep, so you might want to get yourself extra cozy before hitting play 😊

Thank you for another wonderful reaction....I knew Geoff's last run, and sub basement drop would get you. LOL
Gob smacked is a good alternative to flabbergasted 😁

Loved watching you melt to this. Ashley Diane is a queen and she shines with VP!
Cesar the Sass King! He makes everything sultry. When I saw you were checking out THIS song, I knew Geoff's ending would shock you. "SIR!" Please...
Oh, dear. VoicePlay broke DJ again! 😂
I still just love this one. The arrangement is so creative. It's like a banger you'd hear in the club. They keep the integrity of the song intact while somehow updating it and making it accessible to everyone. It's definitely a special talent and one of the many reasons I love VP so much!
Yeah, raise your hand if you want to hear Ashley Diane, Rachel Potter, and Elizabeth Gorozzo sing together?
No? Just me?
Nope, not just you. But we need them with the guys 😊
👍🙋
🙋🏻♀️❤
This was cesars first offical video as a new member of the band
AND HE NAILED IT
I'm worried about you when you get to that ending. Watch it again and when Geoff goes high, look at Layne smirking in the background. Oh, he knew.

You need to watch their live version of Elvira.. Geoff and Earl have a bit of a sing off... 😂🤣
I agree with you that this is awesome. It is underappreciated. LOVE the Geoff attitude and runs in this and of course Ashley is just incredible.
This song just starts by giving you the Geoff quakes.
They blend together so flawlessly in any video they make , i love your reactions too
This is one of my favorites of VP. I knew the ending was going to break your brain hahaha😂
I have a gutteral need to see you react to their Running Up that Hill
🫠🫠🫠thanks for your lovely reaction 😊 I had the same feelings you had when I heard this song for the first time! They are all soooo gooood!!!!! You can almost taste the joy and fun they always have! 😍💚🌹

Looking forward to voiceplay enemy. Best Geoff.
Flummoxed is a great substitute for Flabbergasted 😁
Layne: I'mma sing. Rest: 'Bout time. :)
love this- such a "happy-mode" song!

Ooooh it's gonna be great. It's definitely one of my favorites
Wait. Were you fully unaware Lord Dragon Geoff has damned near SIX OCTAVES?
I do really enjoy Ashley, she has an amazing tone.
I've been waiting for you to listen to this one, I knew you'd be blown away. This is one of my favorites. Loved your reaction.
So glad to see you did this one!! Great reaction as always!! I am blown away for this arrangement!! Also happy to see you've reacted to 4 of my top 5 VoicePlay videos!!
I just noticed the Hufflepuff banner on the wall! lol Badger pride! 😸
Finally! I have been waiting for this. Brilliant reaction ❤
8:49 🤣🤣🤣
Stronger than flabbergasted?>>> maybe flummoxed?
If this isn’t my top favorite of VPs covers, it is definitely in the top 5.
Ha! Got another Geoff-gasm out of you with that final part and even another "piss off"! Love it! 😂
Also, any chance of you doing "This is Halloween" or are you saving it for October?
when you love geoff singing in a higher softer tune, go for shenandoah
Cesar has a seductive charisma
I just knew this would slaughter you.
This was great!!!!
Cesar is all that is sexy1 Voice, personality, charisma... he has it all
This song my favorite song ever from them.❤it's amazing 💕
Great reaction love Voiceplay soooo much epic cover. G'day from Adelaide.
Definite shock ahead.
Loved the reaction. Thank you for my smile today.
OMG YESSSSS! I was soo looking forward to this reaction

Ayup. Awesome video, awesome cover of this song, and great reaction to it. :)
There's another reacter I watch where we, the viewers, count her pauses.
I think we should start counting DJ's "Suh!" s. :P

5:07 It doesn't hurt that Ceasar is always giving sexy eyes to the camera.
It was Geoff finishing. We all knew it was going to be a siesmic event. Basically Oggie B all over again.
Funny start. There is only one song - just a lyric change (and perhaps a genre change). Gwen stole it from Fiddler on the Roof to start.
Thank you for commenting that, was just about to myself.
I drop everything every time I see you react to one of my comfort Voiceplay songs. This cover/mashup is one of my go to vibey/dancing/singing in the car songs
Here is the 100th comment. Great reaction. Geoff as angel to demon in three notes. Wow!!!
Great reaction, thank you!! ❤❤
❤❤❤🎉
