- In this video, I will be ranking all of the Brainwashed Units in The Battle Cats from Worst to Best. Now that we have the true forms for the Brainwashed Units, which were added in 12.7, and after using them for some time, I can say that this is my definitive ranking for these units.
I was going to make this sort of a 17.5k subscriber special but the sub count was going up faster than I expected and I had to wait for Brainwashed Mohawk to be available in the JP version before I could really get work on this. With that said, enjoy the video!

As someone who was interested in the brainwashed units , cuz it’s so weird that ponos just randomly started putting these guys out in gacha seasonals with almost no explanation, i like most of their TFs. The BW set as a whole kinda feels like ponos testing out some ideas with the basic cats but trying to shore their inate weaknesses. Course for most of them, Axe/Titan/Cow, the attempt fails since the base form is so bad.
We all expected legs 1st, he is just a spammable Dalsi in the end of the day

One of the best features of the top 3 brainwashed is *you can get them all from one banner*. I got all 3 of these from this year's halloween gacha set and it felt like cheating.

Don't sleep on BW axe and BW Flying. They are pretty good in Labyrinth as generic damage even when not targeting traitless.

Honestly bw tank is at least 4th in my opinion, he just is such a good counter to R.ost and other trait less enemies
Brainwashed Jamiera has been far more useful than I expected him to be, especially the duel advent stages where you face WanWan. Good on Daboo too since he can just ignore the slow and deal some chip. I know it isnt revolutionary or makes him meta, but I've found him to be a fun unit, but Im also biased as hell I just like the Titan Family.

I was thinking that brainwashed lion will have beserk before the release of the brainwashed cats true form and would have the same knockback amount like the other lions
Can confirm legs is cracked on dojo because the surge damages the base so multiple early waves spawn into the surge and die quickly

Brainwashed Mohawk Cat helped a lot in Infernal Tyrant Climax.
Brainwashed legs at level 30 has 7k to 8.75k DPS assuming the surge hits for a unit that has 350 range with a 28 second cooldown that only costs 600c...
This is literally the Dasli of Super Rare cats, closest uber I can think of with similar niche would probably be Eyewaltz with 14k dps and 360 range but they have a 100 second CD and costs 3750c, Brainwashed legs basically gives you a similar kit (albeit with surge instead of wave) for 1/4th of the cost and cooldown...
Coming to check when I can get BW Tank because I got the TF before the unit 😂

I got myself brainwash titan cat at the beggining of the game, and it carried me through, have a big respect for it tho, still using it on future chapters, where it's still carrying at first 2 chapters, but gets mid in the middle of chapter 3 for the future
That is how it is with any titan cat unfortunately. They easily are outclassed by other cats.

I did ONE rare ticket roll and got brainwashed gross JUST after watching this video
i think brainwashed bird cat at early game, for me it was very useful cause, you know (most of the enemies) are traitless, and since it has wave inmune and massive damage agaisnt traitless enemies it helped me get gross cat(not the main star but it still helped). i could be wrong but, nice ranking

If they gave brainwashed axe curse against every trait, it would be one of the best brainwashed cats, because he only can curae cats that has ALMOST NO ABILITIES (only henry and the frog)

I would put brainwashed island at #1 IMO, it is like a spammable super rare version of balrog that gets rid of balrog’s biggest weakness(partially) due to being spammable, and getting to even higher dps against zombies, making it excellent against enemies like Daboo.
It's even good for other things in certain situations
Bw island is manic island with 9k damage over manic’s 11k damage, the best part about bw is a better traiting but its not close to #1 imo

This is my personal ranking.
9. BW Lion: It's just equally bad just as like before TF, it should swap curse for weaken, which it would be decent.
8. BW Dark: While his mini-wave give him area attack, it's just lvl. 1 it can't reach Henry, Crockley, etc. It should gave him mini surge instead, with that, it would be good, and tripling his HP.
7. BW Eraser: While he has good HP against traitless, has a low base HP than his other variants, why? And also has 4 sec. cooldown, which is too long for his base HP, and it should keep the same cost like the other Eraser variants which is $150.
6. BW King Dragon: Has immunity to freeze and wave, but it still lacks of area attack or a ability like wave or surge to give him a pseudo-area attack. It's not like having area attack would make him too OP anyways.
5. BW Jameira: Now he has immunites, but PONOS forgot to fix the cost problem, but I put above BW King Dragon cause at least BW Jameira has area attack.
4. BW Flying: While he still has the low range and high ost problem, at least his massive damage slow to traitless enemies is vaulable, being a crowd controller and attacker hybrid is always good.
3. BW Island: Basically is equally good as Manic Island.
2. BW Mohawk: Finally a cheaper anti-relic meatshield in his TF.
1. BW Macho Legs: It's Manic Macho Legs but with surge, you can stack them, so you can make surge spam.
You put BW jameria over BW dragon because he has area attack... I don't even know how that logic works.
Also as a BW eraser defender, I must say that its cooldown isn't that bad. It's only .3 secs more than ramen's cooldown, plus it's much cheaper than ramen or other specialized meatshields.

I’d still argue that BW dark is the worst. BW lion as least has SOMETHING like removing poison from Mamon or removing KB from Okame. BW dark has 0 relevant stages where it performs better than the curseblast cannon as if you’re getting even a single BW dark into Henry’s/Croakly’s range to the point where they can get cursed, why not just put a rusher in their range instead?

No curse blast is VERY inconsistent and dark also has targets such as croaked and henry and also put in 8th. He deserves the break

Insane Resist without treasures is a 6 times multiplier so: 13,500 x 6 = 81,000
How do you get the true forms of the brainwashed units?
Clear their respective stages. Same schedule as Crazed Cats and they are unlocked by beating Mt. Aku (not the invasion)
Also, the true form stages for brainwashed cats (malevolent) are harder than manic stages for crazed cats, even though most brainwashed and crazed cats share similar stats to eachother

Brainwashed cats are more gimmicky but where they can work they are alot better
For how easy they are to unlock and how necessary they are for mid game, manics are better by far. However, brainwashed is for those to obtain in end game to use in end game
