I saw Barrel being heavily praised when it first came out and for good reason since it was our first good non uber safe shield piercer. Then Cat Researcher came along and now I only see Barrel being used every so often while Cat Researcher is just the default Shield Piercer used.

Great list with solid explanations despite me having some disagreements. One unit's placement I disagree with is Farmboy's placement. You said the only good target for Farmboy is Winged Pigge, but I also found major success using him against St Dober. Due to his actually realy good proc rate, he can slow St. Dober at a safe range and give time for Juliets/Sorcates to proc freeze on St Dober to allow for units like Mushroom who are vulnerable to St Dober's surge to be safe shredding it which I find is generally the best way to kill St Dober without a heavily boosted Ramen. While I wouldn't place him that much higher, he's at least better than Fallen Bear Cat who legitmately I feel serves almost zero purpose at this point and was an overrated Aku Gory counter. Cactus is another unit I'd place higher on the list. (Above Gas Mask, Haniwa, and Cop honestly.) Despite the cost of Cactus being absurd, having a durable surge immune meatshield allows it to have some uses even till endgame where surge spam stages will just murder every non surge immune unit. While Gato Amigo is the main backbone to this, Cactus provides actual durability being able to tank a hit or two against even non aku enemies with its HP allowing for easier stalling. Meanwhile Gas Mask, while underrated (W placement), has a niche as an anti-black uhh hybrid tank meatshield ig which I find to not be that good especially endgame where bomber can just shut down any black enemy for you and Jetpack is a legitmately good staller for black enemies (Also Gau and Nono but those are collab units so a majority of players don't have them.). Tl;dr, Cactus stays having relevance after you get it while Gas Mask gets heavily outshined later on. Haniwa's only use after the R.Ost midgame matchup is pure traitless stages in which a surprising amount have Henry who will just use the Haniwas to clog your cat limit and in general there'll be at least one heavy pusher anti traitless that can shred through Haniwas easily. Cop Cat apart from the Wild Doge matchup gets outshined by Hitman who is no1 priority to evolve once you obtain the egg. The main point I have for Cactus being above all of these is that Cactus at least has some sort of niche even after you obtain their better competition meanwhile Gas Mask and Cop Cat get easily outdone while Haniwa is just mediocre. Last placement I disagree with is Barrel's placement. While he was extremely powerful when he came out, just soon after Cat Researcher came along to the meta who I find is better 90% of the time mainly due to the range advantage, higher speed, and high proc rate. Barrel has LD area attack and a slow but high chance proc rate but Cat research has way better matchups like Midnite D, Fallen Bear, Deathkory, and Wicked Face in my experience. I'd put him below Soap Cat and maybe Egg Pod now due to them having some great uses compared to their competition.
You also forgot to mention that Armored Firefly is a viable option in certain stage where you could only use the cats from the same capsule (was it Bug Sumo, I forgot?). And in the final stage you actually get a yellow behemoth stone so he can be helpful.
You know I get why Cactus is so low, facing competition in anti-aku field with Cone (Who also has curse immune) and Bellydance while facing competition in surge immunity with Gato Amigo, but also I dont get it because its still a good unit nonetheless, combining him with Cone gives you an unpushable wall of meatshields against aku

He hard carried me through so many Aku stages despite his admittedly absurd cost, sure, I know that he's currently outclassed by maize/traffic cone cat, but still, that's an endgame unit while you can actually nab Cactus somewhat in the mid-lategame transition. If you can get cactus early, they absolutely carry in most surge-focused/aku-focused stage.
It woulda been pretty epic if they released the worst ones first so you were forced to use em instead of using a single unit to beat everything straight from the start

I'm sorry I'm a month late. No courier is insane he can hit almost every enemy, I'm in ul but he's still in all my lineups. If u use him with research combo it just gets worse. He literally shaped the entire behemoth meta.

Courier is by far the best generalist of these eggs. He’s not a red specialist or even a behemoth specialist, he’s just so good against so many things.
Honestly most of the "already have better unit/counter" argument kinda irrelevant when 4 crowns exist and usually said "already have better unit/counter" which are usually super rare barely said anything about 4 crowns also cactus that low is quite criminal this game is about progression just because Shishi was dethroned doesn't change the fact shishi still works early to mid game that's how cactus cat is he's literally stepping stool in our progression that's why he should be a bit higher cus unlike cone u can get cactus early to mid game and destroy aku stages remember we have a whole chapter around aku yes cone is better but can u get cone fast enough? Probably not cactus SHOULD be a little bit higher
and this is why I'm giving them talents, even if I accidentally (sometimes purposefully) Courify them (i.e.: a health-oriented Courified Surgeon (~74k base HP + resist), or a one-shotter Egg Pod with broken talents to help achieve that goal), along with many, MANY units (it all started with monthly non-seasonal rares, then legend units... help me...) edited-in add-on: oh yeah I half-made some of them obsolete due to making Courier target all the traits in the level you get Supercar in + Rakajong (although Mushroom still better due to wave immune) add-on 2 (shut up don't complain or whatever): actually, all of them have special usage that makes Courier just yet another counter, like Surgeon freezing/weakening Hazuku (while also shochwaving to double-hit)/Rajakong effectively

For hitman being my number one well it's cuz of being anti traitless which is very hard to counter so hitman being a pocket dar-tan is so powerful without being uber
Fallen bear cat is in my top 10 for being anti aku and being teacher bear cat but drugs cuz it hits harder due to aku not having treasures to weaken it though aku has some issues cuz like markiquad states
aku gory deletes a shit ton of units if you don't block the savage blow or normal hits with units like metal macho or barrel cat

Barrel cat is good for blocking out aku enemies and helping delete shields though the event variant of cat machine just deletes shield and blocks aku better though that is uber so NO!
Cheif cat is low cuz brainwashed fish does a good job at deleting zombies with the z killer though cheif can work well as a duo or team with cadaver bear cat,
waverider kuu, shigon cat, housewive cat and a few more but cheif by itself has some limits but still not the worst

Supercar cat just deletes shields and knocks back with good timing and deserves the reputation it has

I'm sorry I'm a month late. No courier is insane he can hit almost every enemy, I'm in ul but he's still in all my lineups. If u use him with research combo it just gets worse. He literally shaped the entire behemoth meta.
@@15TylerLee I honestly just see it as your opinion but the thing about courier is that while it is busted it can't really defend against r.ost, traitless enemies without a smit of help and some other stuff plus wave and surge can knock a punch but that's your opinion

Courier is by far the best generalist of these eggs. He’s not a red specialist or even a behemoth specialist, he’s just so good against so many things.
Honestly most of the "already have better unit/counter" argument kinda irrelevant when 4 crowns exist and usually said "already have better unit/counter" which are usually super rare barely said anything about 4 crowns also cactus that low is quite criminal this game is about progression just because Shishi was dethroned doesn't change the fact shishi still works early to mid game that's how cactus cat is he's literally stepping stool in our progression that's why he should be a bit higher cus unlike cone u can get cactus early to mid game and destroy aku stages remember we have a whole chapter around aku yes cone is better but can u get cone fast enough? Probably not cactus SHOULD be a little bit higher

and this is why I'm giving them talents, even if I accidentally (sometimes purposefully) Courify them (i.e.: a health-oriented Courified Surgeon (~74k base HP + resist), or a one-shotter Egg Pod with broken talents to help achieve that goal), along with many, MANY units (it all started with monthly non-seasonal rares, then legend units... help me...)
edited-in add-on: oh yeah I half-made some of them obsolete due to making Courier target all the traits in the level you get Supercar in + Rakajong (although Mushroom still better due to wave immune)
add-on 2 (shut up don't complain or whatever): actually, all of them have special usage that makes Courier just yet another counter, like Surgeon freezing/weakening Hazuku (while also shochwaving to double-hit)/Rajakong effectively
