The old Rio Grande units remind me of the P&WVa units I saw as a boy. Our house on Linden Avenue in Charleroi was in a position where I could see the tracks from my window. Every morning an eastbound would come through, and I’d stop playing and watch it go by. You could hear it coming a mile away. They ran Alco and Fairbanks Morse units. If I think hard, I think I even remember a few steam locomotives on some trains, but I would have been about 18 months to 30 months old when I think they phased them out. Thanks for the memories.
Nice hearing that jointed rail track. I heard from a little birdie that it will be replaced in the very near future so I’m going to try and get some videos on that section as soon as I can.
Pretty cool, I’m from Belle Vernon. I just seen WLE backing a big cut of empty hoppers down that track that drops down past Three Rivers Marine and Rail Terminal down into Gibson yard heading towards Monessen. It’s a pretty steep grade they have to deal with. Too bad you wasn’t able to catch them at the Banning Trestle before they got to Belle Vernon. There is also a small tunnel they pass through before reaching Banning Trestle. Thanks for posting
Raised in Charleroi less than a mile from the old Pittsburgh and West Virginia bridge. I used to walk to the top of it. There was a company phone on the Washington County side. The bridges there have an unusual history. Originally it was supposed to be a double decker bridge. Live the video.
thank you for the support my friend.. I've been subscribing to your channel for a long time, for me..your channel is great and inspiring.. success always! greetings from Indonesian train lovers
*Thank you for listening to the wonderful train and ASMR with such a nice weather. The train looks too grand and powerful. Thank you for sharing the wonderful video. I watched this video in full and L160 today. Have a happy week. Greetings from Seoul, Korea.*
Nice job chasing the same train Baltimore and Ohio, idk if I told you this but, yesterday I went to a homecoming dance thing and it had a DJ there too and it was so fun
I saw a train hauling coke earlier this year going up to the interchange with the W≤ it was on a Sunday afternoon. I’ve always wondered what percent grade is the trestle descending towards Monessen.
Good stuff, I went to Pittsburgh a few years back and saw Wheeling and Lake Erie on a rail line on the edge of the city, along with lots of NS Traffic, have to go back there for a few days of railfanning, because one day isn't enough.
I just saw “The Spirit of Grafton” CSX locomotive in Waycross, GA but didn’t have time to go film it nor research the meaning of it. Watching you from time to time has me looking at every train I see for something different.

Wow train and ship spotting today! Wow the W&LE train was moving slowly. Any idea why it was moving slowly? I bet they were enjoying the views from up there.
🙂 Wow early October and there were still annual cicadas out in that area 6:32 . It's neat that they're using old trains from 1966, 1971 and 1974, I didn't know that trains lasted so long. What about Conrail trains are they still used?
As far as I know, there is only one real Conrail painted engine still in use (Conrail doesn't own it). There are still rail cars with the Conrail logo being used across the country, but they're getting rarer to see. The company "Conrail" still exists on paper, but it does not own any rail cars or engines, only track areas.
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR The company Conrail still exists, so why not still make Conrail trains & rail cars? I understand that they don't own any engines or cars, but they own tracks. This really has me a little brain twisted ahaha. 😕
My mom's from NJ so coming from Ohio we'd go through Belle Vernon on 70 and I've never seen a train on that massive railroad bridge. How much traffic does that bridge see on a daily basis?
UNSTOPPABLE..... 6354... you chased Hollywood royalty. Great shots on the trestles. Great chase,..
🤙
You chased a movie star

Cool, thx! 😁👍
Grafton West Virginia was a former B&O yard. Used to be a busy rail hub for coal.
@@Enjoyer.762 thanks for sharing that info with me.
@@Enjoyer.762 I’ve been learning a lot about trains and try to learn more since I’ve started with a few train videos myself.

It's probably speed restricted for safety
Some awesome bridges there. I wonder if the people in those houses at3:45ever get a little apprehensive about tanker trains passing high overhead? 😶
Beautiful trains and beautiful scenery!
