Great stuff! I recently returned from Japan where I was visiting with my girlfriend (she's a native) and I purchased around 60 jazz records, mostly Japanese issue Blue Note recordings. Her brother is shipping them to me. Can't wait to spin them! P.S. I broke up with a girl because she didn't like Steely Dan.
Great stack of vinyl. I like Todd Rundgren. He is considered a Prog song writer. He played with Utopia and Nazz. Like i said , i like your eclectic taste. Billion Dollar Babies is a fantastic album. Travelin Wilburys for the win. Oh wait theres more. Stones!!! queen!!! Never pass up a Santana. Yes Tracy Chapmans album is iconic. Great stuff well done
Some classic vinyl finds there ! My personal favourite would be king crimson ! If you don’t have the lp red I would highly recommend it! Impo king crimsons best work and the closing track starless is a masterpiece!!!
I was just looking at my Marvin Gaye Album last night "What's Going On". Every once in awhile I have to check it, and yup, it's still the late 1980's reissue. I'd love to have the original pressing on Tamala. What you have is in excellent condition. I do have a really nice triple record set of his called "Anthology". I'm thinking 1970's? The gatefold opens out in three folds, has many of his 1960's and early 1970's songs on it. It features some full size photo's on the inside jacket on the fold outs. It's really nice. You should search it out.
Hi. The Dramatics are ringing a bell with me , but i can't think of one of their hit songs. I have some soul music compilations so i will check them. They recorded with Stax / Volt label , a group that were on that label in the 1970s are the Staple Singers. Have you heard of them ? I have been listening to Tracy Chapman recently, and she is so good. I remember her album coming out and songs from it getting alot of radio airplay back in the 1980s. I like Al Green and Bill Withers. Lots of good records there.

Mavis Staples is the only one left from the family of singers. A few years back she did a heart breaking song called "You Are Not Alone" written by Jeff Tweedy of Wilco.
ha, i have a UK Santana too, i have a fair few uk cbs albums, Skin Alley pagham and beyond is a great one, for some reason they turn up in Melbourne, take it easy mate.
yeah the first two Police albums are the best, im my opinion , but i love a lot of british stuff from that era, the Jam were my favorite band in 1981 when i was 16.
The king crimson album sounds zappaish, maybe because adrian below was in zappa band. Check out sheltering sky and indiscipline . This album is smoking , bruford, levin,fripp and belew....talk about a super group..! Don't forget to check out Earthbound by crimson....keep up the cool reviews...respect,craig
Actually, the palm tree label was first introduced in 1973. Both Billion Dollar Babies and Schools Out originally came out on the Green label. The one I have shown is a repress, but I don't mind, I like the music, and I'll upgrade one day! ✌☮
What's Going On is one for the stacks, for sure. The best copy I ever came across was in a box in charity shop -$1. Some lps you have to give it up for, but , as I'm sure you know, those bargain buy gems....
Alice Cooper were the first band I ever saw, way back in '73, on their "Billion Dollar Babies" tour. High recommend their first two (Pretties For You & Easy Action) albums. Both are really really good. I hope you got the "fish game" with yer Country Joe album? All the Fish albums, I find a little patchy, but the great songs outnumber the so-so stuff. C.J.Fish is a really good album, in places.
Thats amazing! I need to revisit the early stuff, I had a copy and purged it a while back. Unfortunately, this one did not have the fish game. I have yet to find a copy with it included. I like the first two Country Joe records, but haven't really explored the rest. Thanks for watching ✌☮
@@sorinvinyl1523 I feel that as they became more popular, Alice Cooper became more commercial, which ain't a bad thing, but for me, the first three or four albums capture the band at their best. The later Country Joe & The Fish albums definitely have their moments. I think that price-wise they're not too expensive to find. I think you'd get into "Together", their third album, as it does feature some cool tracks mixed in with some not so hot numbers. I use to have a copy of "Fixin'..." with the game, but for some reason, sold it on. I'd love to get the original "Rag Baby E.P.'s", but I hate to think what they'd go for!

The Schools out original pressing also also had that same label. Killer was the last Alice Cooper LP on the original green Warner Bros label
