Waldner always play with 5 ply all-wood blades. Try to test the Dicon blade. Only when Waldner is more older he play with carbon blades... He is a legend, my favorite player of all time, unique style. I'm from Brazil, when I was young I use Dicon blade, now i'm using the Petr Korbel blade from butterfly.
I have this blade for about 3-4 months... For short, "not my cup of tea"... It's a really good blade, great quality, price is very nice too, but it's just not for me, IMO this blade is for consistant controllable topspin play (not for power), it's not very good for flat play (I use flat play a lot, my main blade is Cybershape, which is IMO very good for flat play (the best I tried by far...)), but the main issue for me is that I tend to play a lot with kinda "loose" wrist and with Waldner GE blade it's very inconsistant with plays like this, if I force mycelf to play with kinda "fixed" wrist, then playing with Waldner GE become very stable and consistant, but I don't see why should I change my technique for this blade, so I used it only a few times, trying to sell it in my home city for a few months already... Also, the shape of handle is too rectangular for me, it's playable, but a bit uncomfortable (I have Joola Trinity blade, it's also CONC and quite rectangular, but not as much as Waldner GE, soo it feel much more comfortable for me)... Again, great blade overall (especcially for it's price), but definitely not for all (definetely not for me...)... only IMHO!!
to think he was playing with all time great players on the same Swedish nation team like Mikael Appelgren Peter Karlsson Jörgen Persson Erik Lindh those are insane talents together.
He became a legend not bcos playing timo boll but clearing 5-0 in team world championship and make chinese change all and educate their people to use shake hand copying the European.
