- The Superman crew have moved to shoot scenes for the Hall of Justice - home of the Justice League! We also have more details about aspect ratios and new casting updates. Not only that but it appears that another Superman character was filming in Norway for the Fortress of Solitude scenes!

The Union terminal is such a fantastic building. Cincinnati really has some of the best architecture in the USA.
NE Ohio resident here. Nice to see Cleveland getting this love from James Gunn. Part of the film was shot at Mentor Headlands State Park. The park was closed for the filming, but it was cool to see the set of LutherCorp on the beach. I did get to see stuntmen rehearsing a fight one day. Can't wait to see all the Cleveland landmarks in the movie.

The weirdest thing to me is how 2.35:1 these days is considered shorter, and other ratios like 16:9 is taller. When in reality 2.35 was invented to be a horizontally-expanded version of 16 by 9. It is a wider and more immersive frame, not a smaller cropped out frame. It is the tall 16 by 9, but wider on the sides. I hate how even movie theaters these days treats 2.35 as smaller. Back in the day, in fact, 2.35 expanded past the edges of the theater screens, highlighting the panoramic concept of the aspect ratio. You are meant to see more with 2.35. It is not a cropped 16:9 like how a lot of people thinks it is these days. So, to me at least, if you understand the panoramic vision of 2.35, you can still make Superman stand tall in the frame, but that also means you get an immersive frame where you see more of his surroundings at the same time.
I still get that choosing 1.90:1 would make Superman look larger. Of course it will. But that´s not what I am pointing out. I am just pointing out how it´s kinda saddening that people forget the feeling of grandeur the 2.35 aspect ratio is supposed to have, when treated right.
Super random but… They should make a green arrow video game, that is connected to the dcu. The game play should be similar to the game, tomb raider and Uncharted. We already had an arrow tv show, so why not introduce us to the character in a different way. Just throwing sum random ideas out.

If there's a village of super-powered aliens living on Earth, that could play into the conflict Superman faces with Flag. Sr and the government forces. That my earlier theory I stated that the government might be cracking down on 'unlicensed' super-beings then an entire village of aliens fits that description. It also helps play into what Gunn said is the theme of the film, Superman reconciling his Kryptonian heritage with his Kansas upbringing. It's the struggle of the immigrant, externalized potentially by this village of people who have also lost their home as he has, and the government forces of the world they, like he, now live in. Trying to find how to live together. Along with the people who already live on this world but are perhaps still treated as outsiders, such as Metamorpho and the other heroes. But hate and fear being manufactured by those who see that as a means to power, i.e. Lex Luthor, make such a quest for tolerance and acceptance difficult.
I like that theory a lot. I think you are on to something.

The man in black is a Jarhanpurian, not a clone! They’re going to be like Kryptonians and be able to compete with them physically. To me, this makes more sense than jumping right into a cloning story.

@OurMovieNews I honestly believe that James would make those trips available for anyone in the cast that wanted to go and likely apart of the budget.

Those clips of Cavill’s Superman were depressing. Such a miserable, gloomy take on the character. I’d be happy to never see any of that again. Seeing the clips of the Christopher Reeve version is always great though.

Will james gunn be shooting on imax film or digital?
I believe IMAX approved digital cameras as they are far smaller. Gunn likes to be able to move the camera around a lot and quite quickly and he can't with the huge IMAX Film cameras.

Snyder basically did that and I think it worked. Gunn is making a DCU where the first movie is set in a time where heroes exist. This sets it apart from the MCU and DCEU.
