Yes I love Mexican Gothic and The Familiar for fall as well!! I want to check out A Far Wilder Magic, A Study in Drowning, and The Hacienda. Great recs 😊
love love love Isabel Cañas and Silvia Moreno-Garcia, my fall go-tos for sure. so excited to check out A Far Wilder Magic and Ink Blood Sister Scribe this spooky season!
I, too, love the Truly Devious books, and I just picked up her new book, Death at Morning House, from my library today. I'm also two books into The Inheritance Games books and was surprised by how much I'm enjoying them. While not autumnal in setting, they give me big Truly Devious and Knives Out vibes.
I think cozy horror is my new favorite "cozy" type of book. I've loved cozy mysteries for years and I like cozy fantasy as well. I find gothic books to be cozy and I think that's part of why I love it. I'm a total wuss when it comes to traditional horror, so I think cozy horror is a way for me to get those chills without being too scary. I absolutely love both Isabel Cañas and Silvia Moreno Garcia. Isabel Cañas was at the Tucson Book Festival and did a panel with TJ Klune. I still need to read A Far Wilder Magic and A Study in Drowning.
Just downloaded as many of these as i could on kindle/libby! Excited to read T Kingfisher and Sylvia Morana-Garcia for the first time after seeing you mention them so much!
You mentioned books two and three for truly devious, but not books four and five. Just mentioning in case they didn’t make it onto your radar. I loved both!
I’ve just subscribed your channel and checked you reviewed a lot of books keep it up I think thousands plus by the way could you tell me how many books have you read in your life I think you deserve nearly 5m plus subscribers
They have similarities now that I think about it - both have big atmosphere, both revolve around an old book, both have a romance element, so if you liked one book, you'll like the other, but the stories are different eras, different settings, different plots.
Oh my goodness. Thank you for holding the book high and still so I can read the title instead of flailing it around!

I have loved every T. Kingfisher book I’ve read, and House With Good Bones is no exception (and the new paperback cover is amazing!)
been gravitating towards Blood Over Bright Haven for the past few months but your description of it makes me want to pick it up IMMEDIATELY 🧡
Respectfully the main character of The Familiar is named Luzia (Loo-ZEE-ah) not Luiza (Loo-wee-zah). I love your videos!

Ohh is A Study in Drowning very similar to Starling House?
