I just started playing warhammer and grey knights is my first army. I’ve played maybe 10 games at 1k points. My first win was against thousand sons and Draigo bombed down and did 15 mortal wounds to Magnus 😂 he has been my MVP in every game I’ve played. I don’t think I’ll play a game using grey knights without him. He’s my auto include.
Any army that has access to uppydowny and decent shooting platforms will always be an above average army. Bring those dreadknights, purifiers, and libbys, you're gonna have a good time! Your opponent not so much.
To beat Tsons with GK you need to run 10 man bricks of terminators and librarians so you have a 4+ FNP against psychic attacks. You have to vortex with your librarian BEFORE they pop their 4+ FNP stratagem. Vortex doesn’t proc that Strat. GK list with librarians and terms/paladins also counter GK mirror. Never been a fan of running 6 NDKs and redeemers or Canis Rex.
You're absolutely right but generally in tournament play, you don't want to tailor your list for 1 or 2 specific matchups as it's usually to the detriment of your other matchups. A brick of 10 terms with a Libby would be a liability into 75% of your other games
Does the grandmaster ignore the save modifier from death guard? My understanding is grandmaster ignore all modifiers to characteristic ie the save characteristic on the data sheet. But can not ignore modifiers to the saving throw ie the ap that modifies the dice roll. Do you have a clear answer on this one? Cheers
@@TheRcKiwis no because you can't modify changes to your save characteristic. It ignores everything else including ap and damage modifiers for the unit
I would personally run stern and 2 dks lol. fits nicely in 500 pts. 500 pts isn't really a competitive format though so just play whatever is the most fun for you.
@@Bloodbath.Tactics so at 2k points you get 3 teleport slots. What if Dreadknights took up 2 of those slots instead of just 1? So you could say lift a Dreadknight and a terminator brick as the Dreadknight would use 2 slots and the terminators 1 slot or you could lift 3 terminator bricks which use 1 slot each?
@@xMcNultyx cut the angles, premeasure EVERYTHING. As grey knights, you get to choose when to engage. Don't let him get to you turn 1. During the uppy part of your opponents turn is the best time to take 5 minutes, figure out where everything is going to go and premeasure threat ranges.

O wow! Great work. Magnus is arguably the best unit in the game right now
Just got my first GK army. This was AWESOME! THANK YOU!
I also love your game play style to be a great opponent.
Thank you for the comment. Grey knights a tricky and fun army
This was great guys thank you. As a GK player I see GK and I hit play, but this got a follow!
Start the next one at three beers in!
I think I started at 2 or 3 double rum and cokes in as you can probably tell by the 1 hour mark haha.
