    Love how the way he beaks it down step by step with the scales and technique. Think it's so important.

    I like how you can see the numbers on fret board for the scale being played. Because if you go up(descending) or down(ascending) on fret board, you’ll find the same note certain frets apart from each other.

    A cunning choice to make the superimposed numbers the same colour as the fret board.

      I appreciate it and thanks for stopping by. I have other content planned where all numbers will be a different color for other illustration purposes. I was trying to have the numbers only show as they were being used. Working on more content, please let me know anything you may be interested in conceptually.

    Great video!
    I know you use MIDIculius for this, but how do you get the notes to show up in black on the fretboard? I’ve tried this with guitar but all the notes on the fretboard show up with the letter name in the note

    The fretboard illustration shows reversed. Or am i wrong?

    • @MusiciansNetworkTV
      @MusiciansNetworkTV  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the question. It is designed as a top down view, as if the fret board is sitting in your playing position (for a right handed player). I hope this helps. I'll make a short video explaining it.

      It just takes a little rewiring :) As with most things, once you do it enough, it will click.

    I have a hard enough time remembering scales without adding numbers to the mix

    • @MusiciansNetworkTV
      @MusiciansNetworkTV  Рік тому +1

      I hear you. Think of numbers as a way to create a formula that is universal for any scale. Once you get the hang of it, it will click. Then you apply the formula to whatever root note you are given. Thanks for checking out the vid.

      @@MusiciansNetworkTV maybe have a better plan to begin with? Keep side tracking to a minimum and get to the points faster. Smaller pockets of focused information over detailed explanations on every step along the way. None of the theory is new to me, but I struggled to follow. Maybe it's just me? Keep at it though
