I need more plant parent friends 😩. My collection is small, all common plants and I like it that way honestly, but my God I love watching and seeing other people's plant collection. Thank you for the advice and care tips 💕🖤🤎.
24:45 😨 😂 I just recently caught the houseplant bug, and I can already tell this rabbit hole will last a lifetime. So excited. Anyway, back to watching my monstera leaf open 😶
I only got into plants recently because my son went on holiday and I had to maintain his collection (about 60 plants) I honestly thought I’d kill everything. But I really enjoyed it, and when he got back, I found myself checking the plants for new growth and progress. Now I’ve started getting my own plants, and it’s so relaxing looking after them, my mental health has improved so much because I’m enjoying my new hobby. Your channel is so inspiring and I’m learning so much from you although my plant wish list is getting longer and longer with every video, plants are very addictive. Can’t wait to hear about your trip, and how your mum got on looking after your vast and beautiful collection.
24:45 minute of video I gasp so badly out loud that my husband run over asking what happend 🤣🙈 Love u Claire and can't wait for viodeos of your new place and plants placement 🌿💚 Sending hugs from Poland 🥰
Claire, the description you provided as plant people, you are describing yourself. You provide so much inspiration and support without even knowing. You are a gem, never question your ability to inspire others. I LOVE that you put on your pjs and started filming. Keep being you!!!
I’m only a few months (5 or 6 I think) into my plant parenting journey which I started during my PTSD recovery. Having something positive and natural to focus my time on has been so helpful and I love all my plant babies (except maybe my Calathea Leopardinia which is a bit of a diva 😂). Love your chatty videos, I put them on at night when I’m feeling lonely and it feels like I’m with a friend. Thank you for what you’re doing, it means a lot x
Omg I did not know you were an actress!!!! That’s all I wanted to do growing up and into my early 20’s and it just didn’t happen due to lack of knowledge and direction. Then I became a mom and am almost graduating nursing school. I just recently decided I would never give up my dream! ❤
I’d love to see a video about plants that tolerate drafts. I have a space in my bedroom that would be perfect for a plant shelf, but it’s near a vent and I don’t want to send any plants into shock being near it.
Hi! I’m watching you from Poland! Love your videos, I’m so glad that I’ve found your channel some time ago💚the first video I’ve seen was bout Philodendron Pink Princess cuz I just bought one and I was amazed by yours! Hope mine will be that big someday😁😁 wish you all the best Claire!❤️
I hear ya about sharing plants. Love to give them away and make others happy but after my care for so long I worry am I doing the right thing will they care and love them the way I do. Lol. Doesn’t matter they will learn just like I did. Love Sydney Plant Guy. 💚🇨🇦
I'd love a video of your favorite planty socials. I knew a few of those that you mentioned but others were new to me, so I am looking forward to checking them out. I think you might enjoy reallybigplant. Her humor and style are fun. She has limited space in her apartment and yet a lot of big plants. LOL
Omg the Frydek is Gorgeous, tbh I'd seen them before but watching your videos have given me a new love for these plants and now I need to go out and hunt for a lil baby frydek with pillowey leaves
Really enjoy your videos. My favorite plants have long been formerly Sanseverias. Really don't ever see keeping the really large leafed plants like Monsteras. I too would like to live in New Zealand. I have never been there but from what I see and here they seem to be more peaceful. Calmer and less violent. Everything that right now in the USA we are not. I hope your new place is everything your hoping for, have a great trip and a great move when you return.
Hi Claire! 😁 I'm from the States. I'm originally from Florida (don't hold that against me 🤣) but moved to Washington state around 7 years ago. I love it here but wish I would have gotten into houseplants while I was in Florida and could have taken advantage of that heat and humidity 😂🤦🏻♀️. Idk if I'd want to live anywhere else, I'm pretty pleased with Washington state. But I wouldn't mind visiting Australia and New Zealand one day 😍 Absolutely love your videos! ❤️
Hello lovely, a great video as always 😊 I'm probably one of the people who made your Instagram messages explode 😇 but you may be happy to know that the Peperomia cuttings from you are already spouting babies and make me really happy 😊
Oh my goodness Frydek is my #1 plant on my plant list!! They are so beautiful!!! I need one so badly!! Lol yours is so beautiful!! Thank you for the video!! I'd love to know all your plants inspo people!!
Hi Claire. Love all your videos. I live in Orange, California USA. my family and I loved in Japan for 16 years, my husband was active duty US Navy, so I share your love of Japanese food.
Never commented before but absolutely love your video’s and your personality, you’re very real! You’ve come so far since your first video, you should be so proud! Just subscribed to your patreon in hopes to support you further 😁🌱
It's always such a joy to hang out with you via your videos. I jumped out of my skin at the spider attack😮. You asked what plant we would never want to own. My answer is The Mother of 100s, 1000s and 100000s. I just couldn't deal with babies falling everywhere. I have been watching you more and more and I am considering joining your Patreon.
I absolutely loved this video! I’m so glad I recently discovered your channel and I just love it - so natural, witty, and down to earth💚💚💚 (and you also have a furry baby). I had to laugh when you got up to escape from the fly - I don’t do well with insects🥶. I was born and lived in rural Alaska and moved to WA state 15 years ago. I love the milder/shorter winter months here in WA, but would love to love where it’s sunny and warm🌞.
I live in Florida over in the US. it’s the perfect state for all the tropical plants you are growing! Very hot in the summer and humid. Thank you for sharing your story Claire
Hi, Claire! Love watching your videos... it's like catching up with a friend 🥂 I'm watching you from Chile and oooh, when you talked a little bit about the politics in NZ I was like: YUP, I get it. Mmm, I lived like 4-5 months in Vancouver (in 2013) and I LOVED it sooo much so that would be my happy place (I lived the same amount in Toronto and nop, the summer over there was awful, I was a sweaty mess the whole time hahaha), other countries that intrigue me are: Scotland, The Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Finland... I got into plants at the beginning of the pandemic. I was veeery happy about the whole "being at home" situation (I'm an introvert) but I also got a lot of anxiety about the... uncertainty? Especially because I have pretty bad asthma 😬... so plants (my dog ❤and music) helped me (still) to focus in other things and it was so much fun to see the growth and try to fix things when they weren't doing great.
I loved this video. Frydeks are one of my favourite plants, and I have YET to get my hands on one. Slightly jealous that youv've got quite a few baby ones now! :P I'm a brit that had always loved sweden. Two years ago, during Covid, I said heck it why not! Packed 2 suitcases and moved to Sweden. It's probably the best decision I have ever made! I did, however, have to re-start my plant collection.. but that is okay!
Thank you for answering my question! I couldn’t fit too much detail in my question about the spider plant. My spider plants roots seem to be popping out it’s current pot, so will take it out and judge from there. I’m new to plant care so your answer did help thank youu! Love your videos x
I love that you poured some wine whilst getting stuck in. It’s such a relaxing pastime. I have been building up my plant collection gradually and your videos are such an inspiration for plants to add to my wish list. I keep seeing that huge crinkle leaf plant to the left behind you in this video. What is the name of that plant? I love the texture on the leaves. I haven’t go much space so have been looking into investing in a mini green house. As want a few more tropical plants. I love your videos❤️
Great relaxed video. Learning by watching you split and repot and loving the chat. Recently had a choice between a Frydek and an Anthurium Clarinervium. The Clarinervium won but the Frydek could well be my next plant, it’s stunning! Thanks again for a fun hour.
I’m in Northern Norway, so for three months during winter we have absolutely no sun at all! 🙂 I’ve always wanted to live somewhere warm where I could wake up and just step outside and be on the beach. I’m such an ocean person as I’ve gown up on the coast. I spent a few years living and working in London and it’s one of my favourite places in the world. I also spent summers in Hereford, Brighton and Wales from a very young age and generally love the UK, so I wouldn’t mind moving back at some point. But considering the way the climate is going I think I’ll be staying in the Northern hemisphere at least…
Australia. I think you made a good decision by separating your beautiful Frydek.. it’s funny but I follow and love all I follow the same planty UA-camrs you mentioned. Love your channel. Nat
I live in Wa state, moved from California and actually like the weather better here haha. Summer is so beautiful here and my plants love the humidity and heat right now! I just started watching your videos a few months ago and I’ve fallen in love with them! Thank you for the awesome plant information, but also for just being authentically you. Houseplants are a brand new hobby for me and because of all your videos my plants are pretty much all thriving! 🌱🪴💚
I used to live in the Netherlands, but didn't like it. I always said I would move to England (got family there) or Australia. But I ended up packing my bags at 18 and moving to Canada. Lived here for a good 21 years now and I've never looked back!
I would love to be burdened with a planty bag 🤣 i just transferred my frydek into pon as it wasn’t doing too well. She has picked up and is looking good now 👏🏻 looking forward to see you style your plants in your new home 🍀🌿🌱☘️i live in barnard castle county durham uk .
I can’t believe you managed to get so many separate plants from that! That’s amazing🥰 the one plant I wouldn’t buy personally is a Monstera Adansonii, I just don’t like the look of them 😳🤭 and if I could move anywhere I would probably say Canada! It looks amazing out there💚
I do the same thing, I watch your videos and most of the people you mentioned when I’m doing planty things, Hence my name lol, I’ll get inspiration from Sydney print guy with moss poles as well, I love your videos and watch every post and love the consistent uploading keep up the great work👸🏼🪴🙏🏼

I do have a question…. Haha you are so amazing! You just answered it as I’m watching…. Do you always untangle the roots or do you ever just plop it into a bigger pot and poor more soil in?
Saw you untangling the roots and wonder if you ever have cutting them? I saw a plant care Video (swedish plant guy) where they cut the bottom third of the roots before they repot plants. Would you try these method?

Happy to know I'm not the only one who pours a nice glass of wine to set the mood when I'm planning to start playing in the dirt with my plants!
'Maybe it can just be soily all week' ..takes a glug of wine.
You are my literal hero 😄
Such a beautiful plant. When the “snap” happened I found myself gasping loudly. I felt your shock as though I did it. Lol.

Sushi , Italian 👌❤️ totally agree
Love it
I love your chatter, I am in West Sussex UK
I would never buy a zzplant but I come to adopte one of the greencontainer of the place I work just two days ago.
I can’t believe you managed to get so many separate plants from that! That’s amazing🥰 the one plant I wouldn’t buy personally is a Monstera Adansonii, I just don’t like the look of them 😳🤭 and if I could move anywhere I would probably say Canada! It looks amazing out there💚
It is amazing. 🇨🇦
I do the same thing, I watch your videos and most of the people you mentioned when I’m doing planty things, Hence my name lol, I’ll get inspiration from Sydney print guy with moss poles as well, I love your videos and watch every post and love the consistent uploading keep up the great work👸🏼🪴🙏🏼
A plant I probably wouldn't get again is marantas/calatheas as they are too finicky and dramatic for me lol(at least in my conditions). I do grow orchids though and love them 😊
NEW ZEALAND! 😂 absolutely love it here, but if you’re looking for more sun and longer days probably not the best place! Yes we have very very strict bio security. Also the houseplants we have here, yes the range is growing but extremely slowly and plants are major expenny!
Do you reuse the soil that came out of the original pot?
I wish I could find this plant 🌱
I will take one!!!!
Wonderful video, as always, Claire. When repotting, do you re-use the 'old' soil that you tease out of the roots? Or would you recommend placing it in the household compost instead? Your plants look so healthy and beautiful! PS I live in Australia 🤗
Do you use straight pon on any of your alocasias?
The cat… 🤭💜
Whereabouts in the UK actually are you/will you be when you move? I don't think you've mentioned it before (not in your recent vids anyway). Appreciate for privacy reasons you'll want to keep exactly where to yourself, but just a general area?
I almost bought a Frydek yesterday.
In Colorado! :)
Hoya sp. Sarawak - named after the area in which its found (Sarawak - part of Malaysia)
Why does it take so long to figure out if you’re getting the flat there? Here in the US, you put in an application and generally know but the end of the week if they’ve accepted you. What is the process there that takes so long?
Hi did this mix work for your frydek in the long run? I need to repot mine for the first time and I’m terrified! 😂 I see a lot of people use pon for alocasias too. Help! Lol
I’m a psychic medium and plant’s really help me calm my mind and switch off. It’s like my therapy and I would absolutely love to have as many plants as you one day xx
When I first got my Frydek, it threw a tantrum and died back. Will that happen with disturbing the roots, separating them?
Maybe I missed it, but how old is that plant? It has so many leaves!
I’m in the states in Maryland very close to Washington DC. I would love to be some where sunny but I’m also wondering how it would be in the UK….never been outside the states.
monkey tail cactus has to be the most ferrety plant
Hello from British Columbia Canada. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your channel.... a wee bit obsessed actually. 🙃. Really started getting into plants recently and it is SO SO therapeutic. It is an absolutely fantastic thing to get into if you do have any sort of mental health issues. Gives you such a purpose and I love having something to take care of......since my children are pretty much grown and self sufficient. 😞
By the way...... I also am very disgusted by dry hands, not just my own, but other peoples too....EW. 🤮lol
That's so lovely of you to say, thank you! 💚
Hello, are you selling your plant too?
I wouldn’t get a peperomia again. I think they hate me lol
Going away? Worried about your mum watering all your plants? Why not gives her more plants to water? 🤣 Love the chat videos.
I absolutely would not get an English ivy, I hate them 🙈 and they’re spider mites magnets. I had a house that had ivy growing up the whole of the back wall and it had so many spiders and creepy crawlies in it Eeek 😦
Some UA-camrs are also Influencers… in the plant community? 🤔
I live in Germany. I think I would stay here
