LOL!!! For a brief second I thought your two channels were the same creator. I had to go back and listen to the voice overs to make sure they were different. Both have top notch tutorials. Not too complicated, right amount of light hearted material, nice selection of background music and of course the fantastic radio voices :D @VanOaksProps
I love this tutorial as I have two 8' x 4' x 2' Mausoleum facades that my Husband and I made last year, but I really need Brass Plaques for them... Now I know how to do them! Thank you! I love your techniques and your very easy to follow directions! Thank you and please, please keep 'em coming!
@@VanOaksProps i watched your other videos, and i have wondered, what happened to your other hand? i deeply apologize if this comment sounded rude, it is just curiosity. thank you

You are very impressive! You keeps surprising me with how far you are going to go and how thorough you will go to be convincing in the final product. Well done!
Thank you, Mike! I figure if people are going to use my standards as a benchmark for how detailed their haunts are (which I don't recommend) I should put my money where my mouth is and share my secrets.
awesome!!! i've been sharing your stuff into the Northwest Haunters Assoc!! everyone loves it!!! I'll be using this next year when i create a new front to my garage, a full mausoleum wall!!!
I made a small wooden building with 2 windows in the front, 1 window on each side and 1 in the back, the door has a roundish window in it. There's a big cross on the door I found while metal detecting. There are windows on the second floor. I put plastic over the windows from a box. It's painted white with a red roof. I used a hot glue gun and put lines of glue all over it to make it creepy looking and to put some plastic green vines growing on the building. I used that thin plastic sticky insulation to simulate two boards that says, 'Do not enter' on it. There is green lighting inside. The house can be opened from a hook latch on the side. All that's left to do is to paint the inside, add some cob webs made with just cotton balls spread out and add some furniture made to look old and add a ghost or 2. It will be on my coffee table along side a graveyard. The sidewalk is cardboard with glue sprayed on it and you add alittle sand for texture, the cardboard is painted a white gray colour. Then there's the little old fashion black pole lights for street lights. 😁
Love your tutorials. They make things sensible. One suggestion: some of the links to the paint colors you use redirect to other Folk Art paints. Can you include the number of the paint color, e.g. Patina 925? It would make it easier to get the right colors. Thanks and keep them coming!
I do the same with my pieces a mix of real material and faux , makes the entire piece a bit more convincing......... m well done sir thanks for tip ,...
Ok... 1x per week isn’t cutting it anymore! The anticipation kills me! I think it’s time for a Hearse tutorial 2.0 😉. That should provide plenty of regular content! Love the videos and have always loved tour work!
Just discovered you tonight, been bingeing your tutes since. One critique here. When it came to adding the patina I would've pooled a few drops under each letter then let those run. Patina will 'drip' over time w/ the elements. Other than that Im totally enjoying your work. Thanx for the fantastic ideas.
What's mod podge ultra do? Is it just a sealer? Or is it made for another purpose and you just use it as a sealer? I have seen mod podge bottles and stuff at crafts stores but have no idea about them? Is it brand name or are they all a type of adhesive?
It's a multi purpose sealer. You can use it to thin acrylic paints, seal paints, seal MDF before painting to keep it from absorbing so much of the paint.
Excellent! Your faux finish tutorials have so many uses when making props.
Thanks so much!

Another BEAUTIFUL Tutorial...
Thank you so much for sharing this video.
Question: Where did you buy the letters?
They were 3d printed.
Love these tutorials. Ive noticed that you're extremely good using only 1 hand
Thank you!

@@VanOaksProps that is very interesting, incredible you’re able to do what you’re able to do. thank you for the info!
I'm addicted to these awesome tutorials.
Glad you’re enjoying them.
Love the tissue paper effect!
It's pretty great, right? You could also use paper towel or toilet paper, as long as it doesn't have a pattern.

Very creative! Love the textures🎨
Thanks! Glad you like it!
That's pretty spiffy! Smart use of the 3D printer, too.
When your printer doesn't want to behave, sometimes you have to trick it into doing what you want. LOL
DAMN that turned out AMAZING
Thanks! It's a great technique with a ton of applications.
It looks fantastic 🎃💀☠️🎈🧟♂️

I thought the plaques design was the top, trim of a bake tin. That may work too.
Possibly!
Instead of "mod podge" if you use Titebond III and mix in saw dust, you will have a waterproof/rainproof final product that is very strong.
Good to know

Why didn’t you use the rubbing gold/bronze like you normally do? Just by choice this time?
It’s always fun to try new techniques and this was one of those times.
Oh I'm so doing this next year..
Right on! Let me know how it turns out.
