This reminds me of the question, "Is it better to be liked or to be feared". Many times people when faced with a loyalty dilemma will sacrifice the one who is liked in favor of the one who is feared. Ruyi was feared by her enemies. That is why she was a target. Jealousy and Envy boil down to fear. That is not what I mean. I mean when those who are faced with a choice between two opposing forces they will choose the one they fear in most cases but they will feel real bad about it. Ruyi never waivered. She remained loyal even in the face of fear and in some cases betrayal. Her enemies ultimately turned on each other or destroyed themselves. Can the Emperor, the Great Prince of Heaven who could do whatever he wished say the same? Even Ruyi's forbearance has its limits. So, is it better to be liked or to be feared?
But she was also dearly loved by those who followed her. You can't buy love and loyalty. The others exploited their power and influence to gain the upper hand, but they ultimately lost because there was no sincerity and loyalty within their camps.

其實這整部作品，若是用看劇的方式整集整集地看…也就是為了周迅在忍耐著看。
剪成一段一段地看，每位角色反而更凸顯鮮活了起來。
原作被刪減修改再補拍，其實早已經沒了協調感。
那就不該把汪芙芷的戲份給改了😂
這段周迅把深宮的無奈，詮釋得深刻入心，讓人心疼。😢
