Your hatch rattles when you motor too? I though it was just OUR “creaky, leaky piece of antique teak” that did that! 😂 Yes, that was an ‘Emily & Clark Adventures’ reference!
He should have gotten shorter legs. Hahaha! I love it. Hello again, I am an amputee who had a brief convo with Ty over his episode about being an amputee on a boat. Amputee sailing brought me here, but you are guys are fun and informative so now I am catching up. Good channel.
Thanks sue! We are glad you stuck around! He actually did try shorter legs for a while and does where shorter legs when snowboarding for lower center of gravity haha but for daily life he hated it! It was a good excuse for a boat upgrade anyways lol
Just a tip, you can’t “flood” a diesel. The unused fuel that bypass the injectors simply returns to the tank. Feel free to verify =) I start with about ¾ throttle then ease back as the engine warms from our chilly BC water. If you need the injectors refurbished I’d recommend Fred Holmes Fuel Injection Services, Vulcan Way Richmond. My price from 3 years ago was $465 for 3. Reinstall with a torque wrench (and take couple of photos as you remove them). Love you channel and journey (arrived from Breaking Waves)
Thanks so much for this info, Kit! We’ve actually just learned that it may be shutting off due to the safety feature of low oil pressure. I definitely don’t think we have been starting it with enough throttle though! Thanks so much for checking out our channel!
Wow I love Tartan boats and I’m really looking forward to this adventure with you! Hope you get that engine witch worked out soon. And take care of those bilge pump’s that’s a priority.
Just found you and got hooked into a binge watch! Good fun and informative (says the guy not doing repairs). Congrats on the new boat and looking forward to following your adventures. Cheers,
Love I found channel. Need some Cdn cruising. Intrigued about Tyler's adjusting to sea. I just suffered stroke and really thinking about cruising life while going through recovery. My legs are biggest consequence as I need a cane to move about. I know not same scenario as Tyler but I have been told amputation is likely down the road.
CBell 74 thanks so much for watching! Tyler does really well, we will have to do a video that goes into the details more. He definitely does more of the driving, because it’s less mobile, but otherwise there’s lots of ways to work around different needs. The nice thing about sailboats is there’s always lots to hold onto!
Haha I wish! Not at all, just make different choices with our money we’ve worked hard for, than most! No house, no retirement savings, just five years of working my butt to afford this lifestyle (which we still can’t really afford lol). Thanks for watching!
@@brantbrooks7337 for a 40 year old boat, there’s a lot of things I really like, performance in light wind is one, however, there’s a few things I’ve noticed with the build, one being the lack of fiberglass on the deck, it is a very thin lay. I do really love the interior, they did a great job with the build, but the downside of a production boat is inaccessibility of chain plates/ deck bolts etc with the headliner/fiberglass mold. Overall well built and have really loved her, despite a few quirks from being an old boat!

@@AllAboutSpray the safety feature of low oil pressure? Good grief, thank 'you' for the tip. I'm off exploring that topic. ❤️
Must have been exciting bringing It back to Campbell River.

Nice video
Nice work guys!!
Ben Whyte thanks dude!
I was convinced to do the intro so I guess I’m all in 😂. Thanks Ben
Love your videos
Jerry Viall appreciate it! Lots more to come!
Goodluck
Would it not have worked to just turn of the other tanks and then turn the sink on and let the water pump drain the tank through the sink?
Can you make a separate vid on leg prosthetics please, i would like to know more about it.
Pironiero good idea! I’ll see if Tyler would be keen, he’s got a lot of cool feet!
So in a long winded way, you’re telling us you’ve got plenty of money?

@@AllAboutSpray I want to get a tartan, I think. The quality seems great. How is the boat to you?
