- Campers Log 003
The wait is over, the snow has once again fallen. It was time to pack my sled and head out and explore the vast world outside of my backyard. I scoured the map to find a campsite suitable for all my needs. Easy access, beautiful views, a lake to fish. Once I settled on the spot, it was time to gather my camping gear. I choose to take the Luxe mini peak tent as I felt it would be best to shed the snow. The Mr. Heater Portable Buddy paired well with this tent and made it a very cozy hideaway from the snow. The only hiccup I had was the frozen ground. My aluminum tent stakes did not perform well once hammered on. I have taken note of this and will be better prepared for my next excursion. After camp was set up, I headed down to the lake to try and catch a trout. I had no such luck. Steak and sauteed mushrooms and onions had satisfied my taste buds just before I retired to the tent for some much-needed sleep. The morning brought snow. I was very happy.

SAFETY DISCLAIMER:
I can’t stress enough the importance of making sure you have good ventilation while using a propane heater. Please have multiple ways of detecting CO. Mr. Heater has a low oxygen sensor built-in but having a second detection source is a must. NEVER run your heater while you are asleep. In this video, I only used the heater while awake and with plenty of ventilation. Please and I stress, please do your research before ever considering using a propane heater in a tent, and make sure the heater is designed for indoor use, as Mr. Heater is. If in doubt, leave it out! SAFETY first everyone!
