- On this adventure, I went hot tent camping in a snowy forest. I've always enjoyed winter hot tent camping in North Idaho. The forest is absolutely stunning to see. During the night the stars came out and I did some astrophotography. In the morning It snowed. The temperatures dropped to 15 F (-9 C) at night and stayed around 30F (-2 C) during the day. I cooked up some delicious chicken wings in my wood stove oven for dinner and had a scrambled salsa egg burrito for breakfast. I hope you enjoy the video, God bless!

Kenny, great video as always. I can relate to your time working in the HVAC industry because I retired from that industry about 4 years ago, also, although I do not live in Louisiana now I grew up in Louisiana and was there for Hurricane Katrina. My home was not damaged very much but there was so much devastation in our area. So many people lost everything, thank you not only for your military service but for being in Louisiana and providing help to so many who needed it. Blessing

Kenny, I appreciate the UA-cam channels that do bush crafting, hiking, canoeing, etc. and I still continue to watch them because I feel the lessons learned are life saving, especially in todays world and I am thankful for those people. However, your way of camping is where my heart is and your message is even more life saving. I wouldn't mind tugging a sled behind me even at my age as long as my car wasn't to far away. When we go out camping we aren't looking for a struggle, we are seeking peace and enjoyment surrounded by the Lords wonders. We always go home fulfilled and grateful. I cannot go out into the wilderness without Our Fathers presence touching every aspect of my existence, so much that I feel I will burst with his love. I can't go as often as I used to so your channel is especially rewarding and something I look forward to. A nice bonus is your ability to produce fantastic videos. I feel like I am right there feeling the cool air, smelling the trees and being touched by the sun. Once again Kenny, thank you. May the Lord Bless you and keep you safe.

Hi Kenny, I hope all is well with you and your beautiful family. This was an awesome campout. I like that tent it had lots of doors and lots of room. That just amazes me how you can have an oven while camping, so cool 😎. Dinner looked yummy but that breakfast burrito 🌯 😋 looked 😋 emm emm delicious, the salsa in the eggs I'm gonna try it because I never even thought about doing it like that, I thought you were going to pour the salsa on top of the eggs but yup this looked so scrumptious 😋.

I'm so sorry about your brother. My Dad died in 2015 I was born in 1962 so I'm at that time in life. I know Jesus and he gives me strength especially with a 2011 diagnosis of MS (multiple sclerosis). Thank you for expressing your faith that's so encouraging. We used to camp in the Smokie Mts. when I was growing up and we had a tent but always brought the cook stove and other nicies! The Milky Way is our galexy if you're where you can see it you're just seeing the rest of our stars and stuff. Where I grew up in KY we could see it often.

You probably know already but in case you don't and /or for the other folks who read the comments, it is best not to burn ANYTHING in the stove other than wood and preferably hardwood if it is available. Avoid burning paper garbage because paper can easily go up the stove pipe as a glowing ember. It can remain in an ember state for quite a long duration.
Thanks Lonnie!! You are correct and I have learned this the hard way lol definitely only burn wood!! I tried a funky colored flame package and it was what probably burned my last tent. That’s ok, I won’t be doing that again! Appreciate your advice, God bless!
I am sitting here with a runny nose, and a throat cough. I can't imagine being out in the cold like that. I am uncomfortable enough as it is here in my warm house, with a pile of snot rags next to me. I really enjoy watching Mr Baum and his adventures. But campin just isn't my thing to do for myself.

Kenny, such a great trip. You've come such a long way with your camping skills. Loved the tall stove pipe. Great idea! It wouldn't be a Kenny trip without the lamp and table. I always look for that in your videos. The chicken looked good. Make sure you save that special sauce bottle after it's done since it came from your brother. 🙂 The chocolate ball looked good. I'll have to try one of those. The app was pretty cool too. That burrito looked banging. You sure you didn't work at Chipotle as a youngster? LOL I really enjoy your trips. Just relaxation, no pressure. Just enjoying what the good Lord gave us. You've become one of my favorite channels. I'm always excited to see what you come up with each time. You are a good man Kenny. Hello Kenney...those sorel boots 👢 used to be made about a 1/2 hr drive 🚗 from where I live. They were made in Kitchener Ontario CA. I had the same boots you have and they were then Canadain made. Now, they are made overseas. If you are in the market for real good winter boots, check BAFFIN TECHNOLOGY. They are also made about 45 minutes from where I live in STONEY CREEK ONTARIO. If you ever consider a chain saw, Echo makes a small 25 cc gas saw which is perfect for a small wood stove. Your trip looked amazing. Nice stove and tent. Food looked great.

What a beautiful snowy camping trip! I've always liked the dome tents.Really liked your lamp with the branch base. I agree with making camping easy, like bringing wood from home and the pre-cooked chicken. Really neat sky view app. That was fun. God's creation is a wonder to behold. I've known the Lord for 45 years now. "I know mine and mine know me".

Kenny, I can say I've seen and felt our Sovereign Father God's presence through your videos. I love the snow and actually what is more pure than that (before it gets real dirty). The forest is so beautiful, so serene and majestic. There is nothing more beautiful than God's vast universe! There are so many areas that are untouched by man and unharmed. Love your prayers and as always such a great tribute to Jesus, our Savior. You are blessed! I'm on social security, so I have to be careful when buying new gear. $$$🙄 I'm 5' 9". In the "doghouse" area in particular, could I use my collapsible camp chair? It's hard to get a perspective on head room from a video. Thank you!! Roger
I do not think you would be able to fit a chair I the dog house. It would be a bit tight. You can sit in the tent itself though!

Hi there kenny! Another cozy winter video! You are just so funny sometimes, I think it's great. I remember you using this stove before i think.. Just love the pine tree cutouts on the sides. Very nice roomy tent. Just trying to remember if you ever had chorizo and egg burritos on one of your camping trips. your breakfast burrito with salsa and egg reminded me of chorizo and egg which is pretty darn good too. The night sky sure is beautiful out there. Snowing over here in my neck of the woods today in the mountains. You just would have made us that much more hungry with those delicious chicken wings if you would have let us watch you eat them. ha ha! 😁 They looked great! Definitely going to try that Japanese barbecue sauce. Have a wonderful weekend! 😊🏕🔥🧡

Have you tried sock liners under your socks? You can get them at ski shops, and they make a world of difference if you are active in cold weather. In my skiing days, I would work up a sweat going downhill, and then sit in a chairlift to go back up. My feet would always get cold, until I got sock liners, which wick sweat away from your feet. I still use them when cold camping, especially while I sleep.

If you want to use powered milk, get freeze dried milk. It does not have that weird taste powered milk has. Just like milk. Nice video. Thank you.

I love to watch all the things you cook, you make everything look delicious and I'd want to try some of your recipes at home! You seem so nice and friendly, and seem like you would be really fun to be around and a great friend. I love your dedication to God, when sometimes it is hard for me to believe in God with the things going on in my life. I love your prayers before your meal and how you include everyone. All your camping gear looks so fun to use, especially the little wood burning burning stove. The whole camp vibe looks directly out of an LL Bean catalog!
