    Thank you for this video. This is super helpful. I have a question. I see you put the preservative and citric acid in the 5 gallon and larger containers, but do you put that in the gallon size? If I made a gallon of the syrup and I add the 4 oz (I think was the measurement) of concentrate, how long is the shelf life in a hot stand without the preservative and citric acid?

      Unpreserved sugar water should not be left out in the heat. (It must be refrigerated). It is possible to preserve only a gallon at a time, by dividing the recipe by 5. It's tricky to measure out, which is why we recommend making 2.5-5 gallons at a time and then pouring off what you need to be mixed with concentrate. If you have further questions, please give us a call at 801-268-2225 ext.0 for the quickest response.

      Not sure if I understand your question correctly, but you can preserve a gallon at a time, just divide the amount of citric acid and preservative by 5. It can be tricky to measure out, which is why we recommend making it in larger quantities and pouring off what you need when you need it. If you have further questions, please give us a call. We have discontinued the 4 oz concentrate size and instead offer a 2 oz concentrate on our website.

    So i have a question about the 5 gal mix, we always fill it out with 3 gallons water until the number 3 line, then add the 25 pounds of sugar then add the preservative and the citric acid and then mix it with the drill. Does it make a difference to add 1 gal of water first and go by the steps you go? . Am i doing something wrong? Omg I’ve been doing this for almost 3 yrs lol.

      I apologize for the delayed reply: The important thing is to do your preservative first and citric acid last. You never want to add them at the same time.

    After making it do I have to put it in the refrigerator?

    • @snowiellc

      If you do not preserve it using sodium benzoate and citric acid, yes, you will need to refrigerate sugar water after mixing.

    I have a question I just ordered a few of the naturals can I add Erythritol or swerve sweetener in place of the sugar??

      You may use either as an alternative sweetener, but you might consider checking out our Stevia. Our recipe ensures you'll still get the thickened consistency of syrup.

    Can y'all make a video explaining the cute natural flavor names? I ordered one of each last week and had some trouble understanding the flavors. Ex. Blue Razzle berry, is that blueberry or blue raspberry. Or apple of my ice is that sour apple or green apple? Thank you guys and gals.

      That is a great idea. We will do that in one of our Flavor Fridays. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Do you not use sodium benzoate, and citric acid to preserve the favors in the smaller batches?

    • @snowiellc
      @snowiellc  6 років тому +2

      yes, we do have smaller measurements if you want to make smaller amounts. However, if you are making small them small enough and want to keep them in the fridge, it may not be necessary to preserve them. Feel free to call us for various measurements. 801-268-2225.
