To get bulbs out I put two layers of rubbery shrink tubing on thin nosed pliers. shrink it on to the pliers, use it, then just cut it off. Haha I fumbled a little with the first door fixture too...then easy peasy.
Can’t believe this guy is making it so difficult
Had to use 29mm for the dome on my 22 4runner. 31mm was slightly too big. Probably could've forced it in but decided to drop down a couple mm. 31 mm fit fine in the rear hatch

Needle nose pliers work just fine :)
My local hardware stores did not have any in stock, trust me I looked! So resorted to this tape trick instead of waiting for shipping!
