      I agree. I may try a solo trip in Oct. 2021 for a few days.
      My main concern would be pulling that Murphy bed out. I'll be 62 and I wouldn't want to wrench my back or arm trying.

    Makes sense for those peeps who have traveled to Europe. Some smallish condos for sure. I understand why DVC marketed these- very good

    It's very nice for such a small room. It's one that you would get if you planned to spend most of your time at the parks or by the pool.

    Beautiful room. Lovely room tour. I’ve been watching you guys since I joined DVC in October of 2019. Your tours are so valuable. Thank you So much!

    I'm torn on this one. Recently found one of these for 288/night for a Friday/Saturday night with passholder discount and this might be the only way I'll be able to afford staying there. The room just seems small to even justify that price tag. Would love to hear thoughts on comfort/practical space and sleep-ability of the bed.
    Now, the bathroom looks like 10/10.
    Appreciate all these room tours, you guys are my go to!

      It's a tough decision for sure. We love Riviera as a whole, and these rooms are great for 1-2 people staying just a few nights. One downside right now is no fireworks view from the rooms since they're not doing them.
      As far as the space, we stayed there with 18 suitcases while living in the resorts, so it was more than a little cramped 😂. But for a normal trip we think it's just about the right size. The bed was just as comfortable as the ones in the other rooms. So overall, if you're wanting to stay at Riviera or in this particular room, it sounds like this may be the perfect opportunity!

    I’m curious if you’d recommend the Riviera tower over the Caribbean Beach for a couple? (I personally like being by the skyliner! :) )

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  3 роки тому +1

      We definitely would. The room will be smaller, but it’s nicer and newer. The food is better at Riviera and we like the pools and hot tubs there too 😊

    So I see the extra pillows and blankets in the closet, but where are the regular pillows stored when the beds in the wall? Also, is there any place for suitcases?

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  4 роки тому +3

      The pillows in the closet are the only pillows. We just put them back in there when we weren’t using them. The closet in the bathroom and the storage space next to the bed is where we put our bags and suitcases.

    These rooms are a horrible value. For the same amount of points you can get a regular sized studio at the Boardwalk. Liked the video though

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  4 роки тому +3

      Thanks! And you're right - based solely on size these aren't going to be the best value. There are several deluxe studios that are the same amount of points or slightly less (like OKW or AKL) for a larger room. It'll be closer in points with the new 2021 point charts, but it's still a smaller room with less amenities.

    • @danielspencer1923
      @danielspencer1923 4 роки тому +1

      Yes, the value per size isn't great! But for a couple traveling alone it's ok--especially if you want to visit this Resort or be on the Skyliner but don't need the extra space.

    • @nickm1587
      @nickm1587 4 роки тому +1

      The skyliner adds no value when you compare Riviera to Boardwalk. I think most people would much rather be able to walk to two parks than rely on the skyliner (which stops or slows down very often)

    Hi! I was rewatching again and love this new room type. I was wondering though, I did not see anything to cover the glass for the door to the balcony. Is there something to block light at night on the door?

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  4 роки тому +1

      Yes. There’s a small shade that can be pulled down over the glass; however, it didn’t block the light completely because it can still come in through the sides since the shade sticks out from the glass a bit.

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  4 роки тому

      That totally depends on the time of year you're going because the point cost fluctuates. You can look at the calculator and points chart for the resort on this page for the actual numbers: disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/destinations/list/dvc-resorts/

    Have you guys stayed here? I was wondering how it is when sleeping, as far as noise. Thanks!

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  3 роки тому

      If you’re a light sleeper, these aren’t a great option. We’ve stayed in them twice now, and both times we got a lot of noise from the room next door. If you’ll be at the park most of the time, you won’t hear the noise during the day though. 😊

    I'm thinking about this one as a solo traveler. Was it quiet? Could you hear doors slamming or noise from the other rooms?

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  3 роки тому

      We’ve had both experiences. The first time we stayed there, we didn’t hear a lot of noise. But this most recent time, the neighbors were really loud, so it was noisier than we would have liked. If you aren’t a light sleeper or can turn a sound machine on, it’s not bad if you have noisy neighbors. But it’s not always needed if your neighbors are quiet or out most of the day 😊

    • @ducheau100
      @ducheau100 3 роки тому

      @@HereWithTheEars I think based on the proximity of the two other front doors in your video, I'm gonna pass. I can imagine hear those doors slamming. The room is tiny and the bed is close to the door.

    • @HereWithTheEars

    So the Con that I see with the Tower Studio room is that you have to wash your dishes in the bathroom sink which is very very unsanitary Disney. To bad they can’t refurbish the rooms to include a actual sink in the kitchenette area to wash the dishes & utensils
