- NERF has finally given us another Pro-level Foam Dart Blaster picking up right where the NERF Pro Stryfe X left off over a year ago with the NERF Pro Sender, a more budget Flywheel NERF Blaster option with a funky bullpup design. Featuring a 150 Feet-per-second Velocity (and exceeding that), it's definitely got the power it needs even on AA batteries to hit some great ranges... but just about everything else about this blaster is messed up. Nerf Pro has some serious problems.

I will never understand why a blaster like this wouldn’t have the Perses battery pack on the bottom. That was such a good design and Hasbro just threw it away.
Money mostly. Those packs are expensive.
If they wanted to they could have included an AA battery caddy but still made it backwards compatible with the Perseus battery pack, similar to how the Nemesis, Khaos, and Hera all supported the rival rechargeable. This would have required a few extra bits, but not increase the cost as much as actually including the rechargeable.
As much of a dumpster fire the Omnia Pro was, Dartzone actually addressed the misaligned flywheel issues with it. Let’s see if Nerf will have the same courtesy.
Why is it that we all want these new Nerf blasters to be good and yet they FAIL us every time. Hasbro is stuck in 2012 and their competition is just destroying them. Maybe its better for all of us this way.

Ten years ago you could make the argument that a specialized rail to sell accessories would be fine but they haven't even made attachments for like 7 years now right? Just switch to piccatiny I don't get it 😂

I think there are legal concerns Nerf has with putting Picatinny on a toy blaster, since firearm attachments would work.
X-Shot pulled it off on a few blasters, though.

Ar-15 and it is absolutely terrifying because he shoots about 190fps with near perfect accuracy
While it's not great, it could be a lot worse. The weird design definitely lends it self as an emergency off the hip blaster. Hopefully Hasbruh doesn't abandon the line after there first batch of blasters and continues to improve and iterate, even if there competition is massively better at the short dart gig.
Absolutely wild seeing Nerf having to adapt their blasters to a form factor of magazine they didn't design themselves. The role reversal is wild to see

Walcom the torrent is way better as it doesn’t have problems.Also some pro blasters work good but some are bad, the quality is inconsistent

Love the look, the built in RNG bit rough at any price.
Nerf gets so close to something good then just gives up. I was excited for this one. The mod potential is still there though. I could see this being a good base for a Halo BR55 build depending on how the shell is designed.
With that happening, as of now, the Nerf Pro Stryfe X is the best Nerf Pro Blaster for the time being

Between the fact that Nerf STILL hasn't given us a blaster with a Picatinny rail on it in 2024, and the fact that Nerf Pro mags need to be modified to fit into other blasters, that should scream one thing to everyone:

This makes me sad because someone worked really hard on this but management clearly gave them the worst constraints possible.
I genuinely hope the people who worked on this blaster are in the hobby doing their own 3d prints.

Hmm seems to be luck of the draw, my wheels are a bit offset but it doesn’t affect the darts much. Looks are subjective but I love it personally, looks sci-fi. For 50 I can’t complain.

The Pro darts have another layer of drag stabilization on the foam itself... interesting.
Oh god I just realized why when you were talking about the barrel being so long, they designed the darts to the blasters so they could make them bigger and more appealing to younger kids...

Conspiracy theory time:
they are using angled magazine so that we cannot give them shit for using proprietary mags BUT everyone else uses talons, so if you are not deep in the hobby you will need to buy nerf's angled magazine

What if someone were to make a Type-25 Direct Energy Rifle from Halo as a Gel blaster? Like the bottom would house the rechargeable battery and the top would house the hopper for the gel rounds

i think the reason hasbro still refuses to use picatinny is because thats a weapon thing. and they want to stay clear from any resemblance of real steel firearms, i guess. they are a toy company after all.
From what I've discovered recently, I don't think we get so called "pro" blasters on shelves here in Australia 😢 but from the looks of this product, might be just as well.
Fellow Aussie, we must import or mod in order to have decent nerf guns. They even release 'nerfed' versions of adventure force blasters in Kmart, they aren't bad, but the originals are shooting 140 fps, not 70 . . .

@@vonclaren1 thanks for the info, just getting into it....which is sorta cool, as there's a lot to research, but picked up an X shot, couple of NERF elite 2.0's and yesterday I grabbed the newer N series agility. Have already sci-fi painted a couple and pulled them apart, just to see how they work, basically a fun midlife crisis 👍

Aside from all the other bad stuff, it's incredibly dumb that Hasbro didn't make the battery holder removable and modular. Not only so they could sell more battery holders for people to quick swap if they run out of power mid-game, but also so people can use the Stryfe X's lithium battery for more power. Then Hasbro could sell those batteries separately as well. Didn't think they would be too dumb to consider it.

My unit turned out fine. QC is always going to be an issue with anything. No company is immune.
I know of six reports locally of these blasters not working. It isn't a small amount of QC failures.

I wouldn't mind picking up two of these to dual wield if they went on sale for like $30 each. I like the idea of dual wielding P90s and this blaster seems to fit that idea nicely.

Definitely needs a solenoid, especially for foam spewing, as for the flywheels - how the fuckballs did that happen? QA should have rejected that.

Already returned mine. Similar accuracy issues. Don't see the point of "pro" performance that can't hit anything... yay it's got long range... but what good is that if the darts go all over the place..?!?
Also good luck finding a stock that is short enough to use comfortably, but doesn't have any angle in it (because the n-stirke attachment point will 100% buckle under any kind of strain)
The Siren Gnarl is just as big a fail. I got mine today and it shoots about 5 feet. There doesn't seem to be any seal on the breach, I put my thumb over the barrel and I don't feel any pressure at all. The inside of the barrel is covered in grease. The Siren rounds are too narrow (by about 2mm) for a tight seal and Dart Zone rounds get stuck as soon as they enter the barrel. I hope other people have had better luck because this is a disaster.

I'm surprised no one has made a visual comparison to those blasters that Orange Mod Works tried to launch 4 or 5 years ago. That was my first thought on seeing these, especially the Sender. But it's probably because nobody remembers those.
Gotta love that Nerf is now behind in the pro scene. All their blasters are overpriced hunks of crap that don't work properly, while 3rd party companies are literally doing their job better, and turning a profit.
The fact that Hasbro and the Nerf Brand are now more of the laughing stock then the quality standard says a lot about what the pro scene _really_ wants.

I like this style of video. I can tell the differences and I like the addition of a range estimate (with le epic hitmarkers tacked on). Still a stinky smelly blaster, though.
i know this blaster is kind of a hit or miss, but i’m actually a fan of it for like a run n’ gun type primary. i think it’s a quality control problem with hasbro. a lot of things could have been done a lot better, but it’s still definitely a step in the right direction.

Hmm, disappointing, the bog down is a problem. I feel like this would be a run and blast, sprat and pray kinda blaster from the design but if you get big drop off from rapid fire you can't..
The only other review I've seen of this so far had a bad fire trigger and didn't work out of the box.
Somone is not keeping up with the quality control..
Nerf (and Hasbro by extension) is the EA of the foam-flinging world. Release half-baked products, expect the customers to fix it on their own.
I bought this blaster and I liked it at first. The bullpup sci-fi design was something I really dug. But mine had the exact same problem where darts would just spiral out of control while shooting. Your video convinced me to return it. There are so many better options out there it’s ridiculous. Maybe if they fix the flywheel problems I could pick another one up, but what’s the point when the Venom Pro is a full auto flywheel pistol.
By the way, Walcom only makes these negative reviews because nerf hate videos get more money, it isn't to actually help you the viewer. He did it a couple years ago with a lot of buzz bee products for the same reason.

I didn't have high expectations for the sender, and I didn't really care for it(it's way too slow)
However, I still have high hopes for the torrent. I doubt I'll get my hands on it anytime soon due to the Canadian Walmart I have to use.
