Pantera is great but highlights the "Pay2win" element between a tech-tree tank and it's premium tank alternative. That would be the Progetto 46, which has much the same gun and attributes but because it's a cash-tank it gets better gun handling soft stats, has a faster intra-clip reload time between shells and will also reload it's mag faster since it will start doing that sooner and superior view range.
These are not massive differences but enough to say "Hmmm, if I had that superior burst speed I'd have won that engagement" and "If my aiming circle was a bit smaller on the move I'd have probably landed that shot instead of hitting the tracks". It also means the Progetto can achieve full view range with 450+ even without optics while the Pantera can't, and this means it can take a piece of equipment to make it even better whereas the Pantera player might feel a bit undercooked without optics.
Did you look at his stats with Pantera, Mars and Progetto? Don't let facts get in the way of a sob story.

I enjoyed the Pantera a lot grinding through it; as Prog 46 owner, the Pantera was a pleasure to play. Now that Wargaming has removed the Progetto 65 from the game, i might move that crew down to Pantera (I already have an ok crew in the Standard B).
The Pantera was the first tier 8 tank I played where I had a TON of fun grinding it. Even stock. I ground most of the way through the Std. B while also having a TON of fun when they nerfed it the first time. Took fun tanks with really derpy guns but great mobility and instead of nerfing the mobility, they nerfed the already derpy guns and made them absolutely garbage.
Pantera is still OK, but I can't play it or the Std. B anymore without remembering how much fun those tanks used to be.
Pantera is the first tank i ever marked and this is just a beautiful tank. Try it out, it's very versatile and capable!

premiums are never nerfed the rating will all the same, if that helps

Cant agree more, i got my 1st ace tanker in this tank. Gonna 2nd mark it, hopefully even before getting to the Standard B.

For those of you who are grinding this line, use your free exp to get the top gun, no matter what, so you will have a pseudo Progetto 46. The stock gun is trash with 167mm of pen vs tier X. Good luck with that
I was VERY surprised by the T44 Pantera... I thought it was gonna be a rough grind but the tank seems oddly balanced! I enjoyed this grind 18:24 eehhh- that is how I used my Pantera lol Speed/scout with a touch of sneaky shots 🙂

I 3 marked that tank right when it got nerfed. It is still a beast in my opinion. You just have to play around the 3 shots you have and only ever use them for a potential execute! I just wish the Progetto 65 was excluded from the heavy nerf it just feels sad to play
Standard b also has a disgusting gun, Idk why people complain only about prog65
The Pantera has slightly better armor ... although you cannot rely on it. It can be semi trollish when you angle a certain way against certain guns. Other than that, the Progetto is very slighty better, it has better dpm. But the Pantera, as a tier 8 tech tree tank, is very close to the Progetto. Great tank IMO
Better DPM, better clip (empties 1.5 seconds faster), has a built-in rammer, better turret armor, more accurate gun, and better view range. Progresso is better in every single way.
I love p44 also. I definitely leave it in the garage. I'll see how it performs on the front line
Pantera is great as Spaghetto,litlle more armor and slightly less dpm and less spot range.

I wish I could share your praise of the enemy ELC EVEN but it doesn't take high skill to rush to a bush with a microscopic golf cart with 50% camo rating and with equipment that can see concealed enemy tanks in bushes. It's a toxic little shhht and has ruined many a good battle from developing on open maps and screwed lower tier light tanks since they're already at a disadvantage just to add to the fact they can't use that same cheat equipment. The risky "skill" play of the ELC EVEN is getting to the bush, once there, you can go for a coffee and unless your team is utterly useless(which can happen)) you can just put your feet up, sip your coffee, and enjoy the show as your spotting assist clocks up, then go farm a few SPG or mostly dead enemy team end-game. That ain't skill or good for the game.

So far i have to say that P.44 is better. I don't really seem to understand Standard B.
Standard b has trash unrealiable gun
Pantera is so good. Mobile and fairly good gun. Found it easier to play this than the standard b.
Std. B always had a derpy gun, and they've nerfed the gun handling 3 times. It's very difficult to play it now, and for no good reason.
Love how progretto 46 without equipment is still better than the panterra with equipment 😂😂

Struggling with the T7 before this tank, the gun is atrocious. Making it a hard grind.
It's a good fun tank but my problem is that I have the progetto 46 which is better, more fun and makes money.

I got it some time ago when this line appeared. The day after i bought and equipped it it lacked the rammer i applied a day before.
I haven't played it since.
Yeah, WG removed the gun rammer from all the Italian medium tanks that had autoreloader and rised the DPM accordingly. This was a flat buff because you could then invest into even better gun handling or mobility. Progetto 65 and Standard B became legendary until WG decides to nerf both into the ground and beyond in the case of the tier X. They are obsolete now. Pantera is the one that more or less skipped the slap but against Progetto 46 is simply a little bit worse at everything except ramming and reload
@@juanjodpr what re you talking about? Only Progetto 46 was buffed after rammer was removed as equipment and it has 10% better reload then Pantera 44. It was adding insult to injury basically by WG. Progetto 65 was buffed 1y later and then even later it became Nerfgetto. Ramming is literally the only thing Pantera is better then Progetto 46 at, which is nothing to brag about. There is literally not reason to play this tank unless you're grinding the line.
All hightier italian meds are fun to play if you like the playstyle. Even after the nerf.

You know a tank sucks when Skill does his gameplay and doesn't do insane results, if he was using the Progetto 46 he's have done at least 2 games where he had 5-6k or something

Guys. I know King Baboon had a problem with his game crashing sometimes. Does anyone know if he still has this problem or has found a solution? I've had the same problem since the beginning of December and it's very frustrating.

Pantera 44 is poor man's Progetto 46. Worse in every way. Basically a middle finger by WG. Just grind this POS and sell it and move to Standard B. Then stay at Standard B.
I really like the progetto 65 still in 2024, but its absolutely true that its not as good as like a leopard, e50, centurion ax.
Progetto is OP , Pantera is great tank for me
3marked Pantera and Standard B recently. Had a blast with both. Pantera underrated becaouse of Progrtto.
I would rate Pantera as good tank and fun to play.

This tank is bad for people who don't have a lot of credits because intuition doesn't work well on autoreloader guns.
I have only standard ammo in this tank. No gold nor HE.

very bad tank, one of the worst guns in the game, 0 pen 0 alpha 0 shell velocity, extremely slow for a medium, not worth it
