There’s something that hasn’t really been said because I think it’s too overwhelming to think about: we are witnessing the birth of a club. Inter Miami is only 5 years old, Messi made such an impact on this team already that it’s not a stretch to claim that he’ll be their biggest club legend. This is how I imagine it felt for people to watch Cruyff at Barcelona: he is at the center of this club’s rebirth. So exciting and amazing to witness, what a gift it is to be alive at the same time as Leo Messi.

Any sensible goalie would assume that Messi will pass to his teammate on the left. That’s why the goalie is already moving in that direction. But Messi took this opportunity and made the shot, the goalie had to shift his body momentum to make the dive and that window was just enough to concede the goal.

If you watch the replay at 2:10, Messi has time to wind up the shot with a full backlift *and* get it away before the keeper even reacts.

If you hate seeing this and you just hate soccer. It is amazing that we get to witness this level of soccer in the US. Alba make, but also how Deandre Yedlin, who is a US Men's national team veteran who played in both 2014 and 2022 World Cups helps Alba in defending the back row
To be honest I think I only know two teams in MLS mainly LA Galaxy and now Inter Miami But following it more due to the fact that Messi is still producing his magic. With time MLS could overshadow all football leagues but progress not only has to continue but pick up some pace. In time players and managers will be moving over to MLS in their prime and not for retirement.

As much as people credit Messi for helping to inspire this team to perform well (which is well deserved), one should not forget not only the contributions his veteran Barça teammates Busquets and J. Alba make, but also how Deandre Yedlin, who is a US Men's national team veteran who played in both 2014 and 2022 World Cups helps Alba in defending the back row
To be honest I think I only know two teams in MLS mainly LA Galaxy and now Inter Miami
But following it more due to the fact that Messi is still producing his magic. With time MLS could overshadow all football leagues but progress not only has to continue but pick up some pace. In time players and managers will be moving over to MLS in their prime and not for retirement.
