@SirCrab Yeah. The S-Ranking missions becomes a bit of a puzzle the more you play. You can make some of them trivial with the right build, but finding the build takes some thought.
I've heard it said that Balteus is a fight that changes you. You go into Balteus as someone who's just committed to trying out a new game. And you come out of Balteus as either a quitter, or a pilot. Either way, you're not just trying it out anymore. Welcome to the 100% club! It's nice up here, having all those parts and stuff. 100% doesn't require you to find all the data logs (not combat logs, which there IS an achievement for clearing), but when a game's 100% achievements are SO CLOSE to actual 100%, I just get this itch to go finish it, so there is another collectible hunt to do after all the achievements if anyone has the same dysfunction I do.
@@SirCrab I will leave that honor to Ibis being the hardest, but many time the thing that makes the challenge harder than usual is the AC you want to use. The first time you fight Balteus one does not have too many parts to play with and the weapon knowledge on when to use them.

@octiantrys5090 I actually beat Balteus relatively easily with only 2 tries and no build changes. Actually, I had more trouble with Sulla beforehand. I'm not being cocky because then I played it on NG+ and got repeatedly wrecked by fire attacks that I'd never seen before.

Armored core 4 was my first video game that I owned. I played it on the 360 till the disc stopped working. It's what got me into action games, and into the addiction of heavy, slow tanks. To this day I will always love that game. Glad to see they rebooted the series. Amazing series.
I went into this one last year not even sure that I’d like a mech game and platinum’ing it on PS5 was one of the most fun trophy runs I’ve had. Those S ranks though, lol. Some of those are downright brutal. Nice work man.
it is surprising how the 2 boss you had most problem with are the 2 that were the easiest to me. at the end of first act, it took me like 20 try to beat Sulla, then i near first-try Balteus (but i died when it had 10%hp), and won at the 2nd try. and for the coral mech (13:00), it took me 3 try.
Wait that's crazy, I also use a lightweight double Ludlow and laser slicer build. I use different frame parts and regular missiles instead of plasma missiles but other that it's very similar. I named mine the 'Emerald Phantom'
With the recent update, it is little different due to the changes in the stats on the parts. It's only some changes, but that hardly matters in single-player. GG.

17:33 damn got a pretty sweet build there. Also, yeah unfortunately AC fights, even Walter, are heavily skewed to the player in this game mostly because the AI is bound by all the same rules the player is and none of them have super optimized ACs. Like Raven is using basically what you start with for AC parts. Watler is also victim to that. Sucks because in older AC games ACs were a huge threat but then again, they blatantly cheat in those games too. Guess lore wise all the cheaters are canonically piloted by cyborgs or AI and repairing wasn't a thing but mechanically that's what's kind of needed to make AC fights balanced. Or they just jump you.
Walter's AC is actually pretty decent, there is a pvp player thats been having success with it. the main issue is that the AI cannot utilize the build to its full potential
I have played every single ac game, I wasnt able to find the 360 versions so I dont own them. Been playing from the OG demo disk for ps1. Just got this game and im still in chapter 1 but holy god damn did i struggle on that 1st boss. I havent played an armored core game since ps2 era and fromsoft really comes out swinging in this game. I had to get used to holding my fingers over each shoulder button so i could activate weapons constantly instead of 1 at a time. Took me 6 tries to beat him and im really enjoying the game! Great video! :D
Funny thing about fromsoft. Before the Souls series meaning Demonsouls they were mainly developing mech games. They were hit and miss but they were fine. After Darksouls it seems that the studio focused on that style of combat and put the mech genre on halt. So the perfect announcment was made after Elden ring which was AC6 😂

That initial attack on the first 7 seconds, pattern is easy to note, easy to predict and evade, then hit it with twin stun needles, LL, and PB. Ibis staggers and you immediately rush the thing with LL and PB. Best time was around 3 minutes.
My favorite part about these kinds of videos is watching people absolutely hate Ibis, when that was one of the only bosses that I one shot. (Missile boat king, that bosses hover air tracking isn't great even back with 1.0 difficulty.) However I'm also the only person I know who just could not get his head around the enforcer. Hours, literal hours throwing my head at that boss and it just never clicking as I was impaled on that energy charge attack over and over again. I do not know why that was my roadblock out of all bosses.

I'm trying to get the 100% for AC6 too and I have some questions. So far I'm on my second playthrough, I didn't have any issue with bosses, only a few tries, but I'm using the double gatling gungs and double songbirds (I love this playstyle so much). How much time did it take you to get all the achievements? How hard is to get S ranks in all missions? I got a few of them relatively easy going replaying missions for the battlelogs.
So I did the entire game in a about 50 hours, and I was able to do playthrough 3 and all s ranks in a day. The stat that has the heaviest weight for getting S ranks is time, so the faster you do the mission, the better chance you have of getting S ranks!
If I remember correctly you can sell 1 item back and buy it again and the achievement should pop! I think I remember seeing that said somewhere so give that a try!

@@SirCrab it is, pve meta is just do whatever and do big dmg, pvp meta is really crazy with a lot of different mechanics that you have to learn, its so crazy actually that "a match is won in the garage" meaning the build you play will decide the outcome against the build the opponent plays. thats also why the higher in rank you go the more meta builds you see. the highest ranking players are almost always forced to play a meta build if they want to get really high on the leader board
Did you consider that Walter was a “pushover” because you’ve gotten better and because of your build? I did Liberator for my first playthrough and I completely disagree.
@ I feel the complete opposite way, Walter just shot red, everything was red, and his red laser, and his red shield that his his attacks did not help. Ayre I felt was so much easier for me to understand, I just did my strat for Ibis and waited for swords.
I see you're 100%'ing it before Sony buys Kadokawa and makes the excuse that they're allowed to make Fromsoft delete the online servers that allow you to even access Armored Core 6 because only a thousand people play it on the online mode nowadays, despite that literally being the entire reason why the servers should still be alive.
Regardless of how easy or hard it is, it’s still graphically beautiful and has a way lower barrier of entry than the older games so I wouldn’t call it an embarrassment

Walter is nothing compared to Ayre, that’s more what I meant!
@ I feel the complete opposite way, Walter just shot red, everything was red, and his red laser, and his red shield that his his attacks did not help. Ayre I felt was so much easier for me to understand, I just did my strat for Ibis and waited for swords.
Why do you need 4 playthroughs? NG++ is only 3
S-Ranks are the 4th!
@ you can just replay the missions? Unless some aren’t in the replay missions list
The S-ranks are considered the 4th play though because you have to play every mission one final time for the rank
You have to earn the title of raven it isnt just given to you
So true!
Did it really take you this long to s rank the missions?
I only got the game in August :(
I wont miss...
I loved the Ice Worm fight so much!
one of the best 100% games i ever done i like how to achieve S rank in every mission you have to git gud
I like it too!
"Bosses were total pushovers with my teir s internet builds."
They’re pushovers anyway!
You sound like smii7y
I don’t really see it since smii7y’s voice is a bit higher but there is a hint of it
lol now S rank singles PVP
I dare you… to platinum terraria
Its on the list!
Sulla is hella easy and balteus
I totally agree with Sulla, but Balteus not so much! He's the real deal!
@SirCrab depends which balteus the ending or the first one if the first one easy as hell
The game only get easier after the 1st run tbh 4 times not that hard
Yeah, after you get used to the bosses and the movement its way easier!
God do I *love* Sony!
Get platinum on yugioh master duel
🫡
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.🎉
Yeah try pvp ranked now lol
Maybe one day!
I'm gonna be that guy. The game is stupid easy and it's an embarrassment to the AC series
Regardless of how easy or hard it is, it’s still graphically beautiful and has a way lower barrier of entry than the older games so I wouldn’t call it an embarrassment
