In the Ayre fight. All of her laser sword attacks can easily be dodged by just jumping and flying over her. You don't even need to use your quick boost. Once I figured that out Ayre become a cakewalk. I've beaten her without taking damage a few times now.
Okay, Time for round 2. But instead of check points what if you have to sell the parts you die with until you can no longer build an AC and that is the true "loss" where you have to start over.
Bruh, Day After Day playin during the Ibis fight just hits different. Great vid, makes me wanna redownload AC6 ngl, had no reason to pick it back up after I 100%'d it but this challenge looks really frickin cool.
I remember playing the roguelike myself when it was newly released. It is a wonderful ruleset to play the game by and can end up creating some interesting builds that I otherwise would have never come up with without the roguelike limiting me. It also was what started me trying to see what in the game i could beat with the starting setup provided. just the jailbreak, fists, and worst interior parts. really fun challenge in of itself.
I wouldn't dare to try out a jailbreak and fist only run... I'm just not built like that... But it's always great to see people make their own fun in games like these!
@@upper_case_T it is brutal. It's easy enough until the strider which actually turned out to be really hard on that set up. Wallclimber was hard but nothing to hard. then the next challenge was the watchpoint. Sulla took a few times to get a pattern down as he likes to dodge but he ain't to bad. Balty though is rough. that shield of his makes it a very long fight and with low ap you get worn down. I'm still stuck on balty even. but its a fun challenge I do suggest at least giving a try. I use all OS tuning as well which makes it a bit more managable. but it was a very fun wallclimber fight weaving back and forth with the boss.
Perfect timing. Just got 100% for the second time and looking for more content. Hopefully the upcoming multiplayer patch actually exists. Right now it's kinda hard to find matches.
In the first guardian fight he made EVERY, SINGLE MISTAKE you could in this fight and I am almost IMPRESSED by that Failed to dodge the first beam, superboosted forward immediately draining his own battery while in melee, stood still for the bubble attack and didn't dodge the thrusts like…damn man XD
Here's a thought for an extra rule. What if every time you killed a named AC pilot, you get a bonus roll from what they have equipped? Gives higher chances to get something specific, and may make the optional objectives more appealing on certain maps
I had to remove some audio at 16:50 because of some copyright claim. Don't worry, your headphones aren't broken :) (sad I had to remove this as it was a funny little bit)
real amazing challenge and it does fit quite well but, i do have to say that if a "rougelike" or survival mode fits for any fromsoft game it has to be bloodborne, and that is exactly what i did and made rules for that the whole point of it is to play chalice dungeons (because there is a LOT to play) and the idea is that you only use what you find (so blood vials, bullets, every consumable) and with weapons that can be an option too up to a certain point, permadeath obviously and the "base run" you go from depth 1 pthumeru to depth 5 pthumeru but there is a lot of flexibility with the rules that are way too many mention
@@upper_case_T Gotta be honest, seemed kinda shitty of the creator's slot machine to dictate specific arms to use these weapons on. I would have at least allowed players to put hand weapons on either arm when possible.
I remember unpatched Baltaeus. The most fun I had in AC6. Took me 29 attempts to beat unpatched Baltaeus, and genuinely made me a better AC player. It gave me the keys to beat all 3 endings. I did it all with the Basho set cause I thought it looked way cooler than any ither set Full Basho for melee Pile Driver or Whip for massive stun damage, as the Whip has amazing utility as pressure and range melee AR for upkeep Missiles for stun and general damage
The therapist stun bomb launcher is classified as an energy weapon, so having an FCS and generator tuned for energy weapons will not only boost its damage, but also it's stun buildup. Got to s-rank plenty of times running it with dualies and the moonlight blade😅
And Halo:Master Chief Collection type deal for all the AC games would be better than AC7 tbh, since there's new AC fans that didn't get to experience the older ACs.
You should have re-rolled the build on every failure instead of locking yourself to the same build for the entire checkpoint system. Would have been way more fun for all involved I think.
My first completed run was a rj with dual turners and dual mlt-10's and can't tell how many times I failed before I got a winning run. Also, didn't use checkpoints though going forward that would be better. Also, you have to do all three endings for a full run, granted the second is easier but allgazu is still pretty hard!
I messed around with this mod, super cool but holy shit i didnt get a single weapon or booster until the ice worm fight, first drop was the energy orbit drone and after that was just armor and a single generator that boosted energy damage by a FUCK ton... really funny how it turned out
So maybe I'm just dumb but why does the website only say stage 1-5 for the rolls when there's significantly more than 5 stages I really wanna do this but I wanna do it correctly, do I just roll 1 on installations, 2 on grid, 3 on transport, 4 on tester and then just 5 onwards or... The rules are kinda too vague for my smooth brain and leaves out a few too many details/doesn't specify enough for me tbh especially since it just says "based on the stage you're on in the challenge" but not sure what that constitutes as
The "stages" don't refer to the individual missions of the game, but they act more like chapters. The challenge tries to devide the game into 5 chunks that are a bit more evenly spaced out than the actual chapters of the game. Somewhere on the website it should say, when a stage starts and ends. If it hasn't been changed since I've played this, stage 2 should start after beating the Mission "Operation Wallclimber" for example.
love this idea but if you do it again i would reroll the items you previously unlocked up to the checkpoint(as if you played over from the start) to keep things changing
I wonder what would be a good trade in optional rule. There’s been a couple times where i got some pretty good weapons butt not getting a single generator really hurt.
Idk if you go over this later in the video but wouldn't it be smart to get the os tuning for weapon bays? Idk if this breaks the rules but if you get a right weapon to replace your current one couldn't you just place your old one in the bay?
This was actually something I completely forgot to mention while making these vids... I did get OS Tuning upgrades after missions every now and then , but I don't fully remember when exactly. This was recorded at the start of the year lol (weapon bay was one of the first I picked tho)
After watching this video, I have ONE takeaway criticism of your playstyle in this game; STOP HARD LOCKING ON! You're *less* accurate because of it. Tracking enemies with your camera and "soft" locked on let your AC targeting system adjust for enemy movement. You shoot where the targeting predicts they will be, instead of shooting where they *were*.
Don't listen to this if you're fighting bosses that frequently leave your screen. Hardlock for Balteus, Ayre, Cel240 and defense weapon is crucial for your wrist/elbow/shoulder health.
@@alyantza the key is to swap between the two. Lock on when needed, like when they're preparing to dash past you. Unlock when they're strafing/ hovering. Or if you're unlocked and they move off your screen, you can use the quick-turn OS tuning upgrade (I use it often, very helpful)
@@Jormyyy sure, if it works for you. Against bosses I find that you don't need the increased accuracy from soft lock, since they have predictable recoveries after attacks, like Balteus' flame strike or Ayre's pause after her Malenia combo. Though against ACs there really is no need to hard lock, quick turn will suffice as you advised.

you can also dodge those by tricking her targeting, she tries to lead the shots
Reverse joint legs are great for fighting her.
Nothing but solid advice in this thread. You all are doing God's work.
Okay, Time for round 2. But instead of check points what if you have to sell the parts you die with until you can no longer build an AC and that is the true "loss" where you have to start over.

That would be kinda similar to the original armored core. Where you would go in debt and eventually get a game over.

I think optional objectives giving loot one tier down from what you're supposed to get would be fair.
