Same goes for Jack Russel Terriers, Pappillons and other small breeds. If you don't give them much exercise they'll become a pain in the ass very soon. And let me tell you: A bite from a small breed DOES hurt a lot.
@purifylightning How much a dog barks depends on how it was bred, and how much you socialize it. Small dogs from reputable breeders may bark less than a dog from a backyard breeder or puppymill. For you I might suggest a poodle or a chinese crested dog. Both breeds are hypoallergenic, and poodles at least are easily trained, chinese cresteds are a little cat-like in their personality but still loving. And take your dog everywhere and let it meet new people. Hope that helps you.
@woofwoofyoyo yeah i got a border collie from the pound and 4 years later, she still loves us.actually, all of our dogs are pound puppies, exept for one whos owners moved to a pet free apartment out of the state.we took her in so she wouldnt go to the pound
what kind of dog should i get this is stuff about me 1.our house isn`t very big 2.i want a small dog 3.i want a dog that`s playful 4.i want a dog that likes kids
That is not true mixing dogs dosen't necessarily mean that they are friendlier a beagle is 9 times out of 10 going to be more friendly than any mixed breed
I know this is 4 months ago but a golden male will cost up to 4000 if you want the father and mother to be champions. But just a normal pup like my neighbors sell are around 2500 but some go for hundreds because they are first time breeders or don't really know the right costs goldens can go for.
I actually never, but thanks for trying. =D I've gotten first on most of HowCast's vids because I just click them to get them off my subscription box. That's all I meant.
if the dog leaves its for his own good you cant keep a dog forever its his life let him leave and come when he goes if he comes back he loves you if not then no
Pet Stores have overpriced, poorly-bred dogs from puppymills. You can get a dog from a GOOD breeder, but those are hard to find these days... Shelters all the way.
If you enjoy lifting huge bricks of feces the size of five dollar footlong bread off your lawn, I would suggest something along the lines of a great dane.
This is a good video, but there should be a video on proper breeding. For example, good breeders DON'T breed for profit, and always show their purebred, registered dogs in conformation, agility, etc before breeding them. Good breeders don't only rely on their own opinion, or the vet, before producing more puppies. They discuss things with other good breeders and attend dog shows to ask judges' opinions and get the facts from them.
@starscreamthe7th There's no such thing as a "teacup" poodle. "Teacups" are pieces of chinaware. Or a puppymiller's phrase for a runty toy they use to jack the price of a smaller pup to exhorbent amounts of money.
So, by your logic, it's best to contribute money to a cruel and poorly managed industry which pumps out a countless amount of poorly-bred animals every year just because they need homes too? By doing this, you only allow them to put another puppy in that place. On the other hand, you can go and find an animal rescue or shelter which has dogs that ACTUALLY DESPERATELY need a home right now or else they'll die within 3 days. Which one is a priority here?
I just got a greyhound puppy :D
If you have children and want a small dog, I recommend Yorkiepoos (yorkshire-poodle).
Theyre adorable, intelligent and playful :)
I would get a pug. They are great in all areas for describing a dog.
I always thought a big dog could always be my best friend, but I've fell in love with Min Pins' gorgeous eyes.

I can't decide. I took a dog breed test and it said the best suited dog for me would be a mixed breed or a poodle. Which one?
@legomaker8 I, personnaly, recommend mixed breed, They tend to be freindler and cost less.
That is not true mixing dogs dosen't necessarily mean that they are friendlier a beagle is 9 times out of 10 going to be more friendly than any mixed breed

Don't get a puggle from a shop or breeder. Good breeders don't make mixed dogs. Adopt a mix from a shelter, or get a purebred from a GOOD breeder.
@ObsTheGreat how do you get them then?
@glitterbear27 i breed dogs and belive that i take care of all my puppies
