Hi, the thickness of this bow is just right, so I don't need to remove the surface of the bamboo to get the bounciness of the arms I need, I just need to increase the thickness of the middle wood to add pounds later.
The strength of this fiberglass glue is good for the first use, and there is no problem of detachment. Only the bonding time is very fast, it is necessary to pay special attention.
Recently, I am preparing the materials for the horn bow. The horn bow may be made for a long time, and the failure rate is very high. I look forward to the day when it is done.

要不要做雙弓臂的弓. 一種是大小弓臂一前一後串連.一種是相同弓臂並排或X交叉. 第一種有專門的英語詞, 是一種印地安人的弓. 這兩種弓我都覺得難度超高. 尤其是第一種設計.

You are an expert bow maker Bro. We also belongs from a bow maker community. In fact, the first weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. We make Bows from a particular bamboo and the arrows are also made from a particular type of bamboo only available in the jungles in our region. Thanks for the sharing the craftsmanship.

Fantastic video. Nice job on the bow. Some of my friends make bows, strings and it always is much more fun to shoot hand made bows than commercial bow. An if lucky enough to get something handmade it has much more value. Peace.

I use Titebond III, which must have good viscosity and elasticity.

Hello, if you want to improve the snappyness and the longevity of that bow, make it so the outer skin of the bamboo be positioned as the bow's belly instead of the back.

maybe nxt time build a bow when its raining...just curious to know how the rain pours n ur neck of the woods vs dwn under...like if it rains does it rlly pour dwn hard r is it a shower type rain....cuz there is all types of rains...soooo maybe do a build & test it out when its raining that would be rlly cool...

Great job,...but you should dry bamboo in a drying box before you glue it so it don't delaminate later.
Bamboo is hydroscopic,.....it absorbs water.
This bamboo has been drying for a year and I think it is ready to use.
This is a good design. It looks like maybe a 40 lb bow.

桑木不是很好取得，沒地方買。我是找朋友專程去砍的，目前都到處請朋友留意 桑木修枝時幫忙保留。
我之前找做牛角印章的剩料.給你參考. 大概都還有3~5cm的實心角可用. 合不合用就看你怎麼用了.原本買這些牛角是用來做箭尾的.

我8月時也做了支牛角梢的弓. 不過是半成品層壓弓胚去加工的. 因為是現代材料, 所以很容易比較. 我做出來的弓,箭初速低, 震動大. 最後反覆推敲原因..我決定把牛角弓梢鋸掉一大段. 然後效能就回來了. 看你牛角弓梢做那麼大, 想起了這件事. 弓的設計畢竟是很科學的. 如果走效率設計路線, 最好這種直拉弓型的弓梢做得比較輕巧一點比較好. 看你的牛角用那麼大一顆, 掛弦位置又比較接近弓把,不如把呆重去掉. 震動小箭速也會加快. 不然就把掛弦位置後移, 加大拉距,增加儲存能量的空間.
牛角可以做更小是沒問題，後移的話 會很容易壞，因為沒有掛在榫頭的範圍內，有可能讓牛角脫離。
@@woodenren 我建議你做完弓後,測箭速看看. 很有趣. 我自己經驗, 把牛角改小,從120fps上升到140fps. 因為是軟弓,大概差了4克重量而己,就有這麼大的改良.

I’m confused the title says rattan now then later says bamboo. Which is it? Also I bought a rattan pole 1 1/4 diameter with skin off. Is it best to have skin on or skin off? Where is it possible to buy rattan in the United States? Any over seas suppliers? Thanks so much for your wonderful videos !
