Holy moly, you’re impressive. My husband and I are in our 50s and we’re really trying to travel so much as we can before we retire because it gets harder as you get older and it’s more expensive and I’m so excited that you guys are starting young. I also have been trying to figure out how to document my trips as we just got back from Iceland from a two week trip. I have journals and I have planners that I keep up-to-date but like you it’s easier to travel with something small I know you said you have a blog, but will you ever be creating a UA-cam video to show your travels thank you so much for the inspiration and all the insight. It’s super helpful. I appreciate you.
Hey there! Thanks so much for the kind words (and oh wow! Iceland has definitely been on my list) - I’m not sure if you’ve heard of Going but I’ve subscribed to their service and get flight deals and mistake fares daily (which gets tempting 🥲) but it’s definitely helped travel be more affordable. We also spend less money at home so we are able to prioritize travel. I have a few videos on UA-cam for the Belize, Portugal, and Spain trips if you’re interested on checking those out! Hoping that carrying something small with me works a little better though 🤞🏽🤞🏽 Thanks for the kind words! 🥰
It's been so much fun watching your travel journal spreads. I use a Traveler Sized notebook for my travel journal. I have one journal for my travels with Tony and then another for my solo travels. I like the idea you had to put the sample itinerary in the journal. I liked seeing how you used the postcards too. Thanks for all the inspiration!!!!!!
Hi I'm Sandra and just stumbled on your video while looking for inspiration for travel journaling! I LOVE your flip through and the places you went are so well documented and fun to look at. My sister lives in Portugal and when I get to visit, I would love to also go to Porto. She says Porto and Sintra are her favorite places in Portugal right now! Thanks for sharing your ideas and tips (the cut-up envelope is geniusssss!). I have subscribed and followed on IG because I mostly hang out there. One day I hope to share more consistently on UA-cam like you do, it's so fun to travel along! Have a great day!!
Hey Sandra!! Thanks for the kind words and following along. My mother and sister in law are working on moving to Portugal (I honestly hope to one day) so I hope to be there more often- it’s such a wonderful place. So glad that you grabbed some ideas from this flip-through. This year has been lacking in the international travel side of things but I hope that I’ll have more to share soon 🙏🏽☺️
Thank you!! Definitely fun to look back on! 💕We save our pennies to be able to take off to the next place and I’m always on the hunt for deals to make travel happen 💪🏽
Dear Julia, Thank you for sharing this beautiful journal. Very inspiring as I have just started the journey of travel journaling. I’ve like how you include pictures and the envelope at the back for ticket stubs the like. Looking forward to checking out more of your videos and content. Best to you from the SF Bay Area, California
This one is from Archer & Olive (an A5 size)- it was featured in a subscription box so it isn’t available for purchase anymore but they do have lots of A5 journals that would be great for a travel journal. Good luck in your journey!! ☺️
Exciting! Back planning is soooo hard, I gave up on it myself 😅 hope this will work better this time around. Also you can hire me as your camera women 😁😁
Yesss!! Haha 💕📸 back planning is definitely for the birds - like, I finallyyyy finished the Portugal/Spain spreads RIGHT before filming this video a few days ago 😭 - I had to reference so many other things to even get it done.
Do you ever remove some pages (maybe every other 2 or 3) from your journals before starting to use it so it doesn't get so full , or is that kind of the fun? Am seeing them done both ways and trying to get some ideas! Love yours!!!
I’ve never heard that, no. Sounds like it would be handy for bulk ☺️- I’m way too chaotic and would probably destroy journals trying to remove pages 🥲💕
Thanks! Yeah, for this journal, I did all the spreads after coming back from traveling. My new traveler’s journal… I used that while traveling and liked that a lot better :)
@@clairelerigo8588 Japan, yay!! I'm going next year! sooo exciting! I've done it both ways (journaling after the trip and journaling during the trip); it's worked best to journal during the trip when there's time/lay out pages while leaving space for photos and writing. If there are any holes, I just fill things in when I'm home. I hope that's helpful! :)
@@julia-here the one you printed , how did you make it ? On word ? I’ve been trying to figure out how I want to do my travel book and I saw that and it made it all come together now I just have to make / print it 😊
Ahh, gotcha. No, I used Adobe InDesign (I’m a graphic designer so I wouldn’t suggest going with that for ease). Using Canva would be a great alternative!

Thank you!! ☺️ where was your trip?!
Wow! You’ve traveled so much!! That’s amazing!! I really like your style of art. How you mix in pictures, memorabilia and your art! Very cool.

Love the Bay Area!! And thank you so much for the kind words 🥰- hope you find all the joy in travel journaling!
I made a camping journal book for my sister and sent her this link to inspire her. Your journal is so creative and beautiful
Oh how fun! ☺️ thanks so much for the kind words 🥰
this is so wholesome! makes me wanna start a travel journal myself (although you left it hahaha)
You totally should! :) I’m not leaving it completely.. just changing it up a tad. It’s so fun to look back on so totally worth it I say! :))
I love your travel journal. Going to set up one in a few minutes
Ayooo!! Look at that timing! ✨🥳 (and thank you!!)
Your titles are soooo beautiful. I really love your handwritng! you make them titles soo pretty, your style is so beautiful
Ahh! Thank you so much! ☺️💕
Such a nice journal. I am in the learning process. Could you please tell me where did you get your journal and the dimension? Thanks

Love your journal. Exactly which journal from Archer & Olive did you use? Thanks in advance!
Thank you! This is their kraft sketchbook journal that was in one of their subscription boxes last year. It’s not available anymore unfortunately 🥲
When you outline what you print out, what pen do you use. Loving this travel journal. Thanks.
Most of the time, I’m using a Sakura Gelly Roll (size 10) and it works great! And thank you so much :))
Thank you.

@julia-here I use a ruler with a torn edge look and I'm enjoying the vintage look :)
Oh cool!! I’ll have to give that a try! Thanks for the tip ☺️
Love the brown pages do you do them all when you come back not while you are travelling ?
Thanks! Yeah, for this journal, I did all the spreads after coming back from traveling. My new traveler’s journal… I used that while traveling and liked that a lot better :)
Greetings from Poland :)
Hellooo!! Love Poland
Love this journal! What do you use to print those tiny pictures?
Thank you! I use either the Canon Ivy photo printer or I print photos out on matte sticker paper :)
@@julia-hereDo you do them during your travels or when you’re home? I’m new to journaling but want to start one for my upcoming Japan trip. 😊

What template or digital planner did you use for the 1st trip you show to France?
I used my bullet journal for that trip; it’s mixed in. I didn’t use a template or anything - just designed it myself :)
