Gate 1 Normal or Hard? My understanding is/was you can't bus G1 Hard Mode because you need everyone alive for mechanics.

Yes, when you bus vykas hard, then gate 1 is normal difficulty while gate 2 and 3 are hard.

What relic set do u recommand for a sup pally?
I have 6 piece swamp or 4 piece swamp and 2 piece of the awekaning set? Which is better in raids?

If you have a spec neck+1 other spec acc then you go with 4 yearning and 2 dominion. If you are full swiftness then you go with 6 yearning. Both sets are pretty good in my opinion. Don't know which 1 is better. Maybe after clown 6 yearning will be better.
