Não, esse sensor funciona em 110v ou 220v acionando cargas nessa faixa de tensão, existem outros apropriados para tensões como 5v.

It looks like you got a defective one.

When power on for first time it is normal for the light to turn on for 2-3 seconds.....then it is ready for activation. It must be used in places of darkness to be effective. Day time it cannot be activated because day time you can see properly already.
