Sorry Judge, for the first time I think you got it wrong! She broke 3 promises, possibly wrote a bad check on one, came with $200 on the first day, then $350 the next, and the only person who REALLY needed the help was the chap who lives in a van and gave $40! I would love it if we could find out who this person is and pay it forward so we could help him, as he is more in need than she is!!!!!

I am from Morocco. Judge Caprio is a wonderful human being. He left me in tears. Where I grew up, we don't have judges like Mr. Caprio. He, actually, is a walking angel.
The big questions are : Would she learn anything from this ? Does she deserve them $ 40 from the poor man with a golden heart ? ... probably not...but there is hope in the judge's heart , and that my friends make him an example for us all.
I know he has a heart, but dang this woman does not want to take any responsibility, that is just sad.

She would not pay anyway and her kids will suffer the most... until they grow up to be just like her.... never ending story .. A bit of kindness might change her in a better person....That's what the judge think in my opinion

Kindness might change 1% of some of these people. Most will mistake kindness for weakness. She had someone rip the damn boot off. That would be big money in other places and no breaks. Giving her $40 from a homeless guy is like giving ice cream to a pig.
@@thomaslanders6244 You are 100% right but... we are looking at the small picture. That one percent is bigger than you think - if the judge manage to change one person a day.... 300 a year... through whole his carrier, he will change thousands of people and that my friend... is the big picture...
Judge Caprio has such a big heart. I don't know if I'd be that understanding with this lady however.
Judge is trying to say everyday,law & the judicial system are there for the benefit of the people who deserves it. Think he knows that this woman may do the same thing but because of the sake of her children who shouldn't suffer for their mom's deed & probably that's why judge gave her a little break.
This woman repeatedly scans the court and the judge falls for it again.

how the hell can she afford 3 children and she cannot pay her fines. i bet she does not even work and she lives off the honest taxpayers, who are gonna support her and her children. and a man living out of his van give someone like her 40 dollars. that money could of gone to someone who deserved that money not her
I know many disagree with his decision but I really do believe that in showing her this mercy and compassion, ESPECIALLY when « underserving » considering the 3 times he let her go, will do something to her heart. It’s harder to be merciful to people with that record but I think it touched her heart. I love these videos and I see the teaching of Jesus in the way he does this

She had little-to-no-money, yet she is having another baby, she has a “husband” (who probably isn’t helping with the bills), she has a cell phone in her hand, she does not obey the laws like we do, and she does not pay anything after saying she would pay a monthly amount. She needs a lesson in responsibility and consequences. I believe the word to use here is “SCAMMER”. She doesn’t deserve another break, lock her a** up for a couple of days, at least. She most definitely doesn’t deserve the $40 cash.

@Pardesi Pilgrim she has 3 violations at 3 different times. She thinks the law doesn't apply to her, because she gets all these breaks. I believe she thinks she's entitled to all these breaks and is exploiting the judge's kindness. Giving breaks the first time is great. The second time is questionable, third time (especially when she removed a boot), should be no more kindness. She's gaming the judge, pure and simple and is getting away with it. She'll never learn until she's held accountable. She'll keep doing this until the judge puts a stop to it. But he probably won't, because he's gotten too soft.

This is how the American justice system should be by the people for the people... The fact that Judge C can keep his values from the struggle and continue to embrace them once he reached a higher pedestal. All courts should mimic his compassion and reasoning nothing but a class act from someone we all should model.

The judge was too nice to this woman. In my opinion if you can afford to have another kid, you can afford to pay your fines. Hopefully this mother finally gets her act together. By the way. The gentleman who donated the 40 bucks is awesome :-)
I think about Jesus who died for us whilst we all where sinners. Jesus paid a terrible price for us. But still we are grim and won't forgive one other.

What a crock! If it had been me up there, a man, who had done all she did, would the judge cut my fines by 2/3 and give me $40? Kinda doubt it.

If ever I was booted even once, I would leave Rhode Island permanently and never drive through it ever again. Look at that wretched pregnant woman... She obviously is part of the lower class poor of this nation who'll never climb out of poverty for any sort assorted reason. Judge Caprio is a compassionate person to understand and "act" on behalf of people of this woman's position. Most courts would have seized her car and auctioned it off for fine money!

If I was the judge I would not release the boot until she paid the full amount. I would also make her pay all the fines that have accumulated. She obviously has no regard for the law with "3 Broken Promises". And I most definitely would not use the $40 which that wonderful gentle mailed in to help her. Their are far more deserving than her by a long shot. She didn't even look appreciative. She learned nothing from this. She more than likely will show the same disregard in the future. This is the first time I am giving a thumbs down.

Judge said he's been harsh on her the day before! Well ,even when harsh he still uses his heart and humanity! Something many other cold blooded judges don't do! This judge could be as good as a real friend as he is a good judge professionally!

It is not for the Frank Capario to judge her wether she is speaking the truth or not, take it from me if she is dishonest, she will only be bringing the curse in her kids. Think if it. Honesty goes a long long way and if we cannot be honest to ourselves, who else can we be honest to. Judge you did your part, the rest is in the hands of the Almighty.
Sometimes advice is better than cash......Tell her to get some Driving Lessons + parking etc
