  • Alaytra and Jordan take a weekend to visit London, a city we have come to love so dearly, for the last time. We have been Americans living in England for 3 years now and we have become very fond of this unique city.
In this vlog we spend an entire weekend in London visiting some of our favorite places and even popping in to see some stuff we never have before. Not only did we get to eat amazing food, but we got to cross something off our bucket lists by dining in the sky at the Shard. Once back on the ground we saw Wicked and enjoyed the amazing views. On top of all of this being a weekend to remember, it was also Alaytra's birthday weekend, unforgettable.
We pulled out all of the stops! Tower of London, the Shard, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, London Bridge, Tower Bridge, hop on hop off tours, London Eye, and so so much more! If you've only got 2 days in one of the most famous cities in the world, you've got to go all out (rain or shine!) It is just impossible to try and experience everything in such a short amount of time, but we did our best!!
Tell us, where, in the UK, we should try and go to next! What would you like us to share? What did you think of the video? Leave a comment, like, and subscribe for more!!

Since you are going to Va, def go to Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Norfolk, Suffolk, Va Beach. Shenandoah Mountains are amazing, then you have all the beaches and coast. There is a private beach area in Hampton and an Army one for military which is neat. You will definitely see the British footprint in those areas lol. Williamsburg was my fav spot to hang. My sisters fell in love with the area too when I took them there. I was stationed at Langley for 5.5 years so I did a lot there. There are sooo many great festivals in the area and it is very military friendly. You will be there for Vets day and the Hampton roads area you can get free meals for breakkie, lunch and dinner. I could write more about the area. You are a couple hrs from DC as well and I also had a chance to go to Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts. I believe there’s is a cruise that leaves out of Norfolk as well so check on that. Look forward to your US travels! Have fun!

I would like to thank you very much for your appreciation of my country and my culture. I am proud to be British. As I am sure, rightly, you are proud to be American.

Pass me the sick bowl. I`m proud to be English - and I want nothing to do with being British.

@@simondobbs4480 Well, not least on the grounds that every nationality in this whole `United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland` have been given the right to a vote as to whether we wish to remain a part of a United Kingdom. Except the vast majority of us who make up the populace of the UK. Ie, the English, whilst at least Scotland and Wales have free roads, free hospital parking, free education, free prescriptions, free Nursing Home Care...... Nursing Home Care typically cost an elderly Englishman or woman their homes.
      I trust you`ll not ask, `why ?` again.
      Have a good evening, pal.

That was a Raven (the big crow), I assume you know the legend as to why they are there? They also all have names.

I'm so glad that you have loved your time in the UK and wish you all the best in the next part of your lives together. As for me anywhere in the west country is hard to beat, I live in Somerset but Exeter and Sidmouth in Devon are two of my most favourite places ever

That "big crow" is a 'raven'. The legend is that if the ravens leave the Tower, the Kingdom will fall.

try Cardiff, the capital of Wales, then visit Chepstow and over the river to Tutshill (note the church where many names in Harry Potter are from). JK Rowlin was raised and has re-purchased church cottage her old home. This is the edge of the Forest of Dean which you may want to explore though it is at it's best in early May.

Happy (belated) birthday, Alaytra! I can't believe that you're leaving soon, where did that 3 years go? Thank you both so much for all the entertaining videos
that you have posted, you must have spent days editing them altogether. I hope that you leave with fond memories of us and our strange little island. Please
make sure that you spread the word that it doesn't rain all the time and our food isn't as bad as people think. Good luck..........................the ancient Englishman.

The superstition is that if the ravens ever left the Tower of London then Britain would fall. So ravens have been ever present at the Tower, I could be wrong but I think the presence of the the ravens is guaranteed by clipping their flight feathers. One of the Yeoman Warders is tasked with looking after the ravens and generally seeing to their welfare.
