He definitely didn't stage it guys. My dads is doing the same thing. Just randomly. No fire. Dealers got his. We'll see what kind of BS they come back with. Thanks man. He's really looking forward to getting that clutch kit too. 😎
Yes sir. It’s a well known problem and ours was having it since day 1. I hope this was it. If not I do have another sensor I will swap in there to see. I hope your dads gets fixed ASAP. He will love a clutch kit for sure.
Our xl man starts soon as u touch the key … been sitting in the cold for 3 months , soon as I touched the key fired right up , so happy with our bike …
Been a auto mechanic for Ford for years and when fuel injection and computers were first introduced I had an older instructor tell me even knowing this always…..always check the basics first , connectors as in your case RNG , loose fitting hoses , wiring hanging down ….ect !! In your case you had multiple codes because computers use a reference wire ( commonly 5volts ! ) to monitor sensors so with a problem to a certain sensor usually generates problems in other devices (sensors in this case that use that 5v reference) or because the computer went into Limp mode which is commonly a rich condition to help the driver get to a dealer garage or repair shop ! You definitely don’t want a lean condition
I'd rather have a quick fix at my home, than having to haul the machine to the dealer, who might keep it for who knows how long, only to say "We threw a bunch of parts at it, we think it's fixed". My 2004 Tacoma kept randomly going into limp mode, getting different codes all the time. Just shut key off, restart & go. It finally happened when I was near the local Toyota dealer, I limped in & left it running - the Toyota tech found a loose ground wire on the intake manifold. No more random limp mode, after roughly $1,000 in parts & labor at different shops. CHECK CONNECTIONS, BEFORE throwing parts at it!
We got our first check engine light today. 117 miles. Code on dash is P050129, supposedly a speed sensor issue, everywhere we look says the code is P0501. What's the 29 at the end mean?
Looks like the MAF sensor? Well I know I guess CFMoto don't have an MAF sensor from what I've read. But the air flow sensor. I've questioned mine on my 800 trail. Mine was pitch black on me before and as you know supposed to be red. Hope you fixed it Steve! I really wish I had someone like you live close to me. My stuff would always be running good! LOL
Hey what's that iPad mount you have in there? Moreover what iPhone mount / mag charger would you recommend. Most have handle bar clamps but the Force 100 has no bar to clamp to.
This is the mount we use. rngperformance.net/shop-parts-accessories/ols/products/heavy-duty-base-mount-for-all-7---115-tablets We just use a cheap mag charger from Amazon.
My 2021 Cforce 500 will do this from time to time. Every now and then, it'll kill while riding. I'll flick the killswitch off and on and it starts right up. Sometime the fuel pump doesn't kick on when turning key to on position. Brought it to the dealer multiple times and there are never any codes, nor does it kill will in their possession. Any recommendations on what to check? Have you seen something like this?
@@R.N.GPerformance Appreciate the insight. Yeah it’s not a major issue now, just don’t want it to become one while 20 miles deep in the woods. If you ever come across a solution please let us know. Thanks for your vids.
Hey bud, wish I could have had the privilege of owning one of your clutch kits. I decided to leave cfmoto for now, thinking about getting a quad maybe. Traded my z950 sport and gave up.
@@R.N.GPerformance Possible cause. Maybe keep an eye on charging voltage with everything on, let it run a few minutes and see it it holds an proper voltage. I could see error codes from a undervolt situation.
I ran it for over an hour yesterday it charged right up we even turned everything on and it was doing great. I think it was low voltage because or every time I started it to move it we had to crank crank crank and I never left it run. It fired right up this AM so we shall see.
I have a 23 with 8 miles on it when I go to start it, it wants to bog down and die out similar to what your experiencing there. I don’t have any check engine lights or anything like that. Any suggestions on what to check?
@@R.N.GPerformance thank you I’ll go check them right now! Been watching for a while and contemplating my first side by side purchase and what to get. your the main reason I went through and buying this XL because I love that you actually show how to rebuild shit and your not just stuck having to deal with the dealership all the time! Thanks for all you do!
To me that sounded like a slow start. I'd run a stress test on the battery. A weak battery or even an inadequate battery from the factory would play hell with the computers. Cf moto is cheaper than the other brands so I don't think it's a stretch to say they use cheap batteries.
They actually use hood batteries. Yuasa batteries and I have 2 of them in mine. All connections are good. Batteries test good. After this it’s fixed haven’t had anymore issues.
Actually it can. Sometimes these ECUs have glitches or a plug will be lose. If the code gos away that’s good. If it don’t then you know you gotta start checking things. When your a tech long enough you will know what I’m talking about.
Being that these engines are made next to KTM, huskavarna, gas gas and more I don't think this is ever going to be a problem. China has completely infiltrated all forms of utv/atv/ motorcycle manufacturing.
If war or something like that happens order parts from neutral countries I'm in Thailand I could easily send parts to the states. It would be bad like 20 covids hitting at once but that would never happen our leaders are to smart for that 🙁

@@R.N.GPerformance that's crazy I just turned 100 miles on mine an no problems. Where can I get that scanner
Yes, is the scanner special for the Uforce or will any automotive scanner work?

Heck yes. That’s awesome to hear.
Good Video, thanks for passing that along. I get the hour road trip to a dealer, If I can knock it out quickly myself that's the way I go.
Absolutely 👍 your welcome 🙏
That’s some great china workmanship

That’s correct for sure.
The MAP/MAF and IAT are both in the same sensor housing. Makes sense you would get multiple codes for a single sensor fault.
Yes sir. Sure does.
@R.N.G Performance And to all of the haters, It's a Bosch sensor NOT Cfmoto. 😜
Thanks for the information, always good to learn something.

Absolutely for sure. Your right.
Mine threw a check engine at 4 miles it's been in and out dealer like 4 times now they think it's in the wire harness
I'm wondering if the battery is to small I noticed mine cranks slow compared to my Polaris.
I’m going to upgrade it. I am running dual CFMOTO batts in it. But going to upgrade them.
Giving it the benefit of the doubt means you would just turn it on and crank it, because the benefit would be it cranking after you doubt it.
What engine code reader did you use? Love your videos

Seems to be cranking slowly compared to mine. Is the battery low from cranking?
Yeah it was.

The first thing I did when I bought mine was remove every connection to the wiring harness and put in dielectric grease in them.
Good thing to do.
Did you add a tune to it? Maybe the tune is messing it up?
It’s all stock buddy. I haven’t found a tune I trust yet.
What scanner do you have to use
I have an expensive automotive scan tool. I sell cheap hand held ones that work good on these units on my website. Www.rngperformance.net
you ever talk with the guys up @ MSC up in Michigan?
Yes.
What about PDI? ...dealer should be testing these before delivery no?
Yep they should be. But they are lazy
It needs to go through a drive cycle. It will probably come back on. I had a hard start once. I have a rough idle. Also I had a check engine light.
I drove it around today around the block so far so good.
Is it still out?
I have the uv1000, what code reader do you use? Please let me know
It’s on my website we have one that works. Www.rngperformance.net
How do you like your Dirt Doors after having them for a while?
They were great.

Check all the connections on the engine that’s what I ended up doing. And found a few connections loose.

That’s normal. They are seated with a o-ring and are set so you can’t over tighten them is all.

Oh dang brother. Sucky dealers are all over.

change battery..my u1000 did same when it was cold

bad computer?
No
makes no sense to be working on/trying to repair a mechanical issue on a brand new multi-thousands of dollar machine that is under full warranty.
That’s true. But it makes more sense then sending it to the dealer and letting it sit for 3 weeks just for a plug I found lol.
Why I don’t buy junk
Same here. Never buy a Polaris. Can’t even leave the dealer without a don’t ride recall lol
thats all bs. dont ever buy these scraps
What about parts? what happens when china and the usa no longer agree on imports etc...
