I have to make every kaweco nib wetter. It's very easy to do. Widen the ink channel, floss the nib, spread the tines a bit with some brass shims. Repeat if needed. I can elaborate if needed.
Nice introduction to your channel! I watch right now with one eye on outside to see how the light changes as the eclipse shows over my southeastern Ohio home. ... So! Some thoughts: 1) Thanks for showing the effect of sunlight on plastic! Maybe obvious once you've pointed it out; but had it occurred to me? (My only Kaweco is bronze; but, still, plastic!) 2) You've found Fahrney's! Yes! Love that they make their own ink . . . and that they still exist as a brick and mortar. Long may they prosper! 3) Yes about the Diplomat nib. I've had their Esteem for some time now. It deserves more use than I give it. 4) What a nice quick explanation of using a zoom nib. I had been wondering. 5) m805. Good for you! I got one a couple of years ago to honor an important 10th anniversary. You write with that thing as much as you can!!! It was made to use (safely at your desk)! If you wear out the nib with writing on decent stationery, let us know . . . I'm guessing half a century from now we'll all be agog at your output. ... Of course, in 2074, I'll be impressed still to be alive and alert at 115.
Brian Goulet has recommended on his podcast to wrap a rubber band around the end of a pencil to grab the inner portion of your cap to remove it so you can clean behind it. I haven’t tried it yet but maybe you can give it a shot.
Wow looks like you prefer broad nibs and a lefty as well. Right on we are in the same club. I. Don’t care that being a lefty I have less chance of blurring my writing if I use extra fine but jimmy cracked corn. I love shimmer I love sheen I love color so broads are my go to. BBs too 200 pins maybe 3 are fine. Zoom nib great too. Cheers. I may have already wrote this on one of you videos if so apologies. Getting up there in number of winters past
I do really enjoy nibs that show off the properties of inks quite a lot! That's usually at least a medium! For my planner pens, I prefer fine and extra fine, but that's mostly because I write super small in that context.
The most i will ever spent on a pen, i already have, and it was a namiki emperor. A very cool pen, but i used a discount code to reduce the price a bit at goldspot. Its still the most ill ever spend on one,and i will very likely never approach spending that kind of money on one again. Am i glad i did though? Yeah. Its definitely one id recommend, i just cant imagine anything else in that price range being better or even comparable.
I won't lie, the Namiki Emperor is a bit of a grail pen for me, but I don't want to fall into the same habit of "can't use it because it's too special". I know the Pilot artisans especially want their pens to be used. But that is certainly a pen to treasure and appreciate!

I did the same thing with all 12 of Kaweco Sports and AL Sports. I learned how from Pens & Tea channel and from Doodlebud 's channel.
Thanks for sharing! I've never had/used a Kaweco, it is good to know they are dry writers! That Ben Euphoria pen looks good!!

Those are some very thoughtful comments, thank you! And I'm also watching the light change!
@@PaintedSpaceship Thanks! And, here, I have to say how impressed with the Sun I am that even with significant blockage, day still stayed day.
A very nice video! Thank you!
The Pelikan M800/805 are my everyday pens I have two, and I really love them.
I really should be less precious about using mine, it's great to write with.

Oh I must have missed that pencast! I'll have to give that a shot, thanks for the tip. 🙂
Very enjoyable video - I love the channel name. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
15:43... Wow...that is a beauty...
Pelikan M805 Suberen blue stripe silver trim fountain pen - EF nib (japan import)
$1400.oo cad
😎👍💯🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ohhh boy I did not pay quite THAT much! Maybe about half that converted to USD.
The tea pen again 😍 That sherwood green ink is beautiful!
I still love this pen so much. And both greens!

Only paper I can think of is Cosmo Air Light?
Nailed it!
I figured it was that or an Odyssey Notebook with their space covers. Good call!
Cosmo air light?
Cosmo air light!
If you added a N-1 the cover would be perfect.
You know, there is room.....
hm...The Pelikan EF looks more like an F :)
I cannot say, I've not tried a Pelikan F. But it *is* a western nib and they don't run super fine as it is.
