I am so excited for you! This is just the best feeling! You truly make some of the most amazing plush, every bit of your success is so well deserved! Thanks for sharing!
Your duck that’s behind you on the shelf is cracking me up! I follow you on Instagram, and had no idea you had a UA-cam account, I am so happy to have discovered this!
That is so amazing. Congrats on the sells at the craft fair. I did 3 fairs and i didnt sell 1 item. But i wasnt very prepared. I plan on preparing better for craft fairs that will be coming up in 2024.
I definitely would hold on to bees until spring (march,April, may) I would definitely buy that for Easter baskets so my kids have something other than a dang bunny stuffed animal
I love you!!!!! I love listening to your voice. You've got such a great personality. Whenever i listen to you i feel like im having a sit down with my friend.
Thank you so much and thank you for acknowledging my work! I have such a pet peeve when people say “oh you’re so talented” because it’s not talent, it’s hard work and skill! Happy new year!!
That’s amazing! I hope one day I can have that experience! Also, in Stardew Valley there is something called dust sprites and they look very similar to the soot sprites. That’s what I initially thought they were.
You have so much stock! Im new to amigurumi. Ive tried so many patterns but I think Ive settled on making animal loveys. My main business is heat packs, neck wraps, herbal eye pillows and so on and the loveys fit my business so well and I dont feel like Im being stretched in so many directions by making different things. I have no clue what to sell the loveys for! They are made using Cotton yarn from hobby lobby. The head & blanket use about 2 full skeins and they are $4 each. Im thinking Id like to charge $30-35. Im just not sure theyll sell for that w the economy like it is. Has anyone seen the loveys at shows and remember what people are selling them for?
that’s so cool! I freaking need heat packs, I destroyed my back on Saturday :( I know people on etsy charge upwards of $40-60 on loveys with plush yarn (plush yarn is definitely more expensive too) I would say cover all your material costs, time yourself making some plushies, slap on some profit and taxes and you’ll be just fine!
@@miss.a.crochet I can see paying more online Im not so sure locally. I think Itll work at the art gallery and the Pet emporium Ill be selling at this spring tho. Both are fundraisers. ;)
if you’re interested in amigurumi….. I would start with small things like whales or octopi, something very circle-centric, once you learn the basics of crocheting in the round you can do so much! if you aren’t interested in amoami I’ve made hats and balaclavas which are super fun!
How are you displaying your keychains? Ive made a few items for keychains (altho my keychains have the lobster hooks and they keyring not the type you have). Im worried about them pulling out the stitches if they hook onto a item. Also have you done the popits in cotton yarn or do they work best w plush yarn.
I just stuck tacks into my crates so they could hang, I have a new market video coming out soon which shows it! I’m not 100% sure, though I know the pattern designer used a chenille yarn
I don’t really keep track of that for my entire inventory…I just use my pricing calculator to ensure that I am getting paid fairly for each plushie as not everything will sell!
How? 😂. No hate im happy for you. Just wondering how to improve my own sales I've been doing markets for 8 years and I usually sell for about €100 - €200 a day. I do think my stuff is really well made so that's not it. Maybe location? I think crochet sells way better in the US (i'm in belgium)
I think it could definitely be location, I did have a crappy market in January (I’m still editing the video) where I made back my booth fee and maybe $100 so i think location and audience really makes or breaks it! I hope that helps, lmk if you have any other questions!
This is my first video of you that i am watching And i am only 5 minutes in while i write this. But i think you shouldnt be selling items below 6 Dollars each. My guess of your fastest work would be 20 to 30 minutes. Please dont let them pay only 2 or 3 Dollars for your time to work this ❤️
I think the stress pets take me 10-15 minutes and a very small amount of yarn. I am in the process of re-calculating all my prices, but based on the last time I calculated it, I was making money even selling them for $5! thank you for your concern though!!! 🥰🥰
haha that’s so fair, my phone wouldn’t stop glitching so I was tired of re-recording over and over again! i promise my market breakdown for my next market (Jan 27th) will be better hahahah
I would have liked to seen your stuff, ratther than watch you drop it all. Sorry, you need to slow down, I won't be back to even watch at a slower speed, sorry
Hi. I consider my prices to be very fair as I hand make all of these plushies. When pricing, I base the prices on material costs and the amount of time it takes to make. My profit is usually less than 10% of the price (based on my readings profits should be between 5%-20%) which I believe is a fair amount considering how much big companies make off of their mass produced products. Buying handmade can be a luxury as you are directly supporting an artist and paying fairly for their work. I do try and have some lower-cost plushies available so everyone can afford to purchase something if they’d like.
I was thinking her prices were way cheap and couldn't possibly be worth it for the cost of yarn and the amount of work. the $1000 wasn't profit. She would have been lucky to get $100 from that for so much work. The reason things are cheap from some companies on the internet are because they use forced unpaid or extremely low paid labour. I would sleep better at night paying a bit more and knowing it was made with love.
Said by someone who clearly had no idea what they're talking about lol her prices are cheaper than most people price for the quality. Maybe do some research on how pricing is done for stuff like this and try to make one yourself so you understand the work you have to put in. They're handmade. Of course they're going to be more expensive than something made with machines and sold in a store.
What is your market best seller?!
Easily my leggy frogs and my bees, people always light up when they see them 😂

I ugly-laughed at your comment regarding your octopus. “I love him, but I don’t want him”. Been there, girl. Totally understand.

I love everything you make, everything turns out so cute! Do you by chance have a pattern for your radish spirit in the background?
thank you so much! 😊
the radish spirit is a free pattern from hooksandhabit’s blog!
Where did you get the wooden barn you put the chickens in? I love it….love your videos!!
Thanks! I got it at Hobby Lobby!
Is there anyway you can link to it? I've scoured their website and can't find it.
@@baconlovinmama500 I have looked on their website too and I haven’t been able to find it (hence why it isn’t linked) 😭😭

thanks! I got it off of Amazon a couple years ago!
Mushroom 🍄 keychain pangu so cute

When is the next market? Another cheerleading competition or different kind?
It’s January 27th and it is a Sip and Shop event!
@@miss.a.crochet oh that would be good for your giant dino different types of customers will be interesting to see the differences in what sells
Fantastic 👏👏
thank you!!
Where did you get the chicken display house? I see them around on other videos but I can't seem to find were to get one.
I got mine at hobby lobby about a year ago!
Hi if ur new to crochet and can only do the blankets what would be the next t to try out thanks

I dont like to make small things but i k ow smaller items sell good at fairs. Especially when kids are wanting something.
yeah, I like to make small patterns with plush yarn so they’re “bigger” but not as time consuming!
How are you displaying your keychains? Ive made a few items for keychains (altho my keychains have the lobster hooks and they keyring not the type you have). Im worried about them pulling out the stitches if they hook onto a item.

Where did you find the chicken shelf? Been looking everywhere unsuccessfully
I got mine on clearance from Hobby Lobby a while ago!
What kind of square do you use at your markets? 😄
I just use their basic card reader!
How much did you pay for all the yarn used? How much time did it take you to make the items?
I don’t really keep track of that for my entire inventory…I just use my pricing calculator to ensure that I am getting paid fairly for each plushie as not everything will sell!
Where did you get the chicken house?
Hobby Lobby
When you add the key chain do you crochet it on to your make or sew it on?
I don’t crochet it on or sew it on, I use the jump ring it comes with and I hook it into the crochet!
@@miss.a.crochet thank you
If you want to ship to Australia I will buy a keychain or 2 I will cover postage
I would totally be down to do that! dm me on instagram!
@miss.a.crochet please give me your instagram name and I'll message you
it’s @miss.a.crochet
What type of payments do you take at your market?
cash, square, cash app, venmo, and paypal!
