I'm gonna put my logical hat on for a second here: Kirby can clearly swallow the whole car but yet he leaves the radiator grill, wheels and exhausts uncovered - surely he's allowing engine airflow, tyre traction and exhaust fumes releasing elsewhere to his insides... Seems pretty smart.

It still confuses me how mouthful mode implies there are things too big for Kirby to swallow despite having swallowed an entire mature tree whole almost 10 years prior.
kirby connoisseur here. base kirby cannot swallow fully grown trees, he can only do so with the Hypernova ability which he obtains from eating a Miracle Fruit.
@@toastwings9358 hypernova only increases his inhaling ability based on what we’ve seen of it. His ability to swallow is unchanged.
Not to mention he’s swallowed enemies and objects about the same size as the car in return to dreamland

If you look at 13:10 , there is a noticeable difference in shade that shows how far Kirby is filled with water. That proves that Kirby is translucent. So the inside of Kirby wouldn't be black, but just a darker shade of pink.
I think how they should have handled the trailer by cutting out all the weird bits but left the ending shot the same so there was just a normal Kirby game and then watching the Kirby Car hybrid zoomin away

While it would have been interesting if this mechanic was kept completely secret until people started playing it. Personally, I'm glad that I'm mentally prepared for it when I play the game, cause I don't know how I would feel playing the rest of the game after discovering it on my own. (Then again, there's probably more Mouthful abilities in the game that we don't know about, so that'll be.....fun)

In general, it seems like the parts that are sticking out of Kirby's mouth are parts that have some sort of function that his body can't easily replicate, like wheels on the vehicles or dispensing drinks. I have no explanation for the cone though lol

You know what I hate about this new mechanic? That sometimes it doesn't make sense. There's one ability that turns Kirby into a glider. A GLIDER, WHY, KIRBY CAN ALREADY FLY. There's also one that turns Kirby into some kind of ladder to reach higher places... When you know, Kirby can fly. Why would he go and go for the pain of having a entire glider in his mouth when he can already fly??? Same with the car, he already has a power to turn into a wheel.
Well kirbys float height seems to be limited in this game, kinda like kirby 64, so the glider makes sense

Between multiple death gods, a butterfly turned Harbinger of Judgement/Distruction, and a semi-biblically accurate angel crying blood I‘m honestly surprised it took so long for that warning to appear. There’s one question that needs to be answered: How does Kirby accelerate the car when he’s on top of the car? Does he obliterate the top of the vehicle with the mighty force of his tongue and use it to push on the gas…?

I feel like the guy who made the vending machine one was the only one who got the memo on what mouthful mode was supposed to be. Like, it makes Kirby's mouth have a different function. The bottom half of a car is not a function, its Kirby failing to eat a car.

I like to believe that if Kirby wanted to, he could've become that car. Use some knowledge from Epic Yarn or something. Become four wheels instead of one. But no, he wanted to drive it to strike fear into his enemies. They already knew he would eat them alive, but that wasn't enough of a fear factor yet. So he decided to be horribly stretched, just to be freakier.
I have a head cannon that the universe exists inside of Kirby the same way that the universe is litterally in the palm of Buddaha's hand in Journey to the west.

My theory is that King Dedede has some technology that infuses his DNA into objects, taking them over in a similar but (arguably) more sinister fashion to Kirby's mouthful mode, and so yeah, at the end Dedede becomes the planet, or rather, the planet becomes the vessel for him, and so kirby has to inhale the moon in order to finally defeat him.

In some ways, this is less terrifying than what we already know about Kirby. For instance, Kirby's whole deal is swallowing people and devouring their essence. As far as we know, he is indestructible, timeless, and has an unending hunger. My theory is that Kirby already swallowed humanity.

I’ve never really been interested in getting a kirby game until this was announced. Now I am very patiently waiting for this game to drop so I can get my grubby little hands on it.
Seeing the models of Kirby fully around the objects makes me think they originally wanted him to swallow it fully and stay the shape. But so many of the ones they show need needs the open mouth, maybe they wanted to make it more consistent.

By the way, does anyone remember Kirby Triple Deluxe where Kirby required a power-up to be able to inhale stuff like train cars? Yeah, now he's clearly doing that kinda stuff like it's normal, so what even was Hypernova?
It allowed him to inhale incredibly large objects and eat them, as it turned his stomach into a black hole, whereas this is just kirby attempting to eat something but cant as his stomach cant swallow it
I mean Kirby still has a dimension in him(as shown in Squeak Squad), so I’m thinking it’s more Kirby’s new ability to hold things in his mouth before sending them to said dimension.
The funny part about the gameplay clip where Kirby swallows a car is that he could easily just jump that gap without having to deform his body

Bearing in mind that Kirby’s eight inches tall, I don’t think that’s a human city we’re seeing in this game. Like, Dedede is just a regular-sized penguin.
I enjoyed this mechanic because it seems like a legitimate side grade for kirby and his copy abilities. It seems like an interesting new twist on a familiar idea of kirby inhaling things. It's really cool
