I think the majority of the Asian world still drinks tea the way you do. Even in the summer they were still drink, hot teas but yes, I think they definitely do gravitate toward the greens and the whites in the yellows. But I think in general, China and Vietnam and Japan don’t drink really a lot of black.
I totally agree with you about warming foods in the winter and cooling foods in the summer. It makes sense with teas, too. Green and white teas in summer. Black teas in winter. However, Americans are so accustomed to drinking iced black tea all year long.
