I’m genuinely so happy youre going back to the old rebuild style, loved the Browns, Cards, and Texans series and those went 15-20 years.. hoping we see that here too
I started rewatching the browns series a couple weeks ago and we make it through 10 seasons in like 50 episodes. Would love to see that pace again for this series
Pace is great, still love it! (not sure you have to defend it anymore, I think it's clearly working). I love the way last episode ended at the trade deadline, and today we got to see if Jacksonville are contenders or pretenders. Definitely adds to the regular season tension.
The milestone XP changes have been really nice for franchise. It makes rookies who play well get upgraded super fast, so they can actually reach those peak overalls.
Cane I really think you should at least consider the philosophy of "selling high" with Lawrence, in arguably his best statistical season you could get a strong deal for a guy some teams may be desperate for. This would help solidify a lot of other positions in hopes of putting a potential rookie in a great situation.
i feel like u need to lower the kicker accuracy settings, if it is under 50 yards, THEY NEVER MISS! lower the accuracy so they miss to make it more realistic.
Arrington proves to be the #1 option. Walker should play on the inside full time. Campbell and Short are good number two and three Corners. Need an actual shutdown corner to pair with them. Upgrade the secondary. Upgrade the offensive line and either move on from Lawerence or give him one more year behind a better OL.
Loving this series! I cannot believe I called out the browns in my last comment and they came back around to deliver that kinda showing. 😭😭😭 I’m never gonna mention another teams record again
This has got me back onto madden again. Also started a Jags sim/spectate one like yours. Made these moves: Engram to Ind for A.D and a 4th C.Kirk for to Pitt for Darnell Washington and a 4th Had the 4th pick. Took a LE(Top 5 talent) and a CB in round 2(top 5 talent). Also grabbed a WR and a C with hidden dev. Now in year 2, were at 2-1(beat LV, Loss to SF, beat Miami in OT). Having fun playing this way
Not trading Kirk was a choice. Have to not fall for the allure of short term success, Kirk was never going to be that big a difference maker for you. Should have gotten some picks for him.
I’d say trade Kirk and etiene and invest in the o-line and secondary. You already have your top 3 options in Arrington Thomas and Easley. You’re putting a lot of money into your supposed 4th and 5th options. Bigsby could take over the running game and find a cheaper receiving back to complement him. Maybe find a true deep threat on the outside and use either Thomas or Arrington as the slot.
Getting another interior player to play along side Walker on 3rd down. I think that’s the only way you’ll get production out of whoever is your 3rd down edge is
I love this style because I feel my time is appreciated. You are not wasting it by showing meaningless plays or just unnecessary stuff. Thanks for the content.
So Cane. They never updated the IR system when the NFL updated theirs. It's still the age old 1 player returning from an IR placement. Unfortunate especially considering how most injuries I encounter are 4-7 weeks so it's either shut the player down for the year or let them eat the roster spot.
@@MWDeuce02 Yeah the minimum time on the IR is 4 weeks so that works. But you dont have the option of multiple players returning in a season if placed on IR. That's the big issue with the system because thats how it was prior to the Covid years. 1 Player a year returning from IR. Hope that help explains what I meant.
Would love a pace of two episodes per season unless there was a deep playoff run. Playoffs/Offseason/preseason, week 1 through the trade deadline, and then second half of season would be perfect.
The pacing of the series is much better. Even as a Raiders fan, we did endure too much of that team season by season lol. This Jags series has great potential to match past series from Madden 18-20 in terms of entertainment!
Trevor is not the guy, way too timid and unclutch in that Browns' game! He'll be good for Easley and Arrington's development though as you build the team out.
Granted it’s a video game, but it’s beyond frustrating to watch AR on the Colts become Baby Cam Newton the way he develops well and in real life he can barely throw for 50% completion percentage :/
Hey cane, quick question. I know youll eventually decide on xp sliders but om curious do you ever change the star, superstar and Xfactor dev thresholds? I always like raising the number of league wide star devs but a good number like 50, i raise super star by like 10 and sometimes ill minus X factor by like 5 to make them more impactful. It also helps with adding more star dev players to balance out the overalls league wide cuz of the bonus xp Edit, cant wait to watch this when i get off work. The semi-quick long term rebuilds are my favorite. Btw, i do think you should do 1 more season with the hurricanes. Just to see if we can defend the title and actually win the ACC title lol
From what I've seen I feel there are too many players long term in the 78-83 OVR range so I like the idea of dropping star dev numbers. Draft classes are a little too good in my opinion if you want to keep your league in line with real life trends deep into franchise.
I would trade Kirk, Etienne and Lawrence. The team sucks, just blow it up and start over. Stockpile picks to get a good O-line and a bridge at QB until you can hit on one in the draft.
That 4th down throw by Lawrence was a terrible read from him. He has a WR open on the other side that surely gets the 1st down if not a TD yet he throws it ro a player that's not even close to the sticks
Please get rid of Tervor. Low awareness QBs are hard to win with even with high everything else. Also, scrambler is the best archetype. to invest in if you want better awareness in my experience.
I’m genuinely so happy youre going back to the old rebuild style, loved the Browns, Cards, and Texans series and those went 15-20 years.. hoping we see that here too
Forgot about the Bucs and the GOAT Tyrus Sparks.
@@mattyice9535FACTS that was one of my favorite series ever
The real goat imo is anton greenberry hahaha

Dick Kidd is a division rival? The legend lives on.

It's part of why I can't plug in my old work from last year. Rookies that produce develop better in this game and veterans regress faster too.
Nice of Taylor to hold on to the football as he crossed the goal line here, lol.
The pacing is perfect cane. Absolutely loving this rebuild!
Just realized Eli Arrington is a 6’4 234 receiver from Ole Miss….DK Metcalf, anyone?
Little less straightline speed, little more wiggle to Arrington's game than DK. The size is definitely comparable though.
@mattyice9535 Yea, it was just with the size I couldn't help but make that comparison
Dang, those colts are scary for the rebuild. Idk if you noticed but that rookie TE they drafted has X-Factor dev off draft night
And that last game, my good sir... that's a trap game. Thank you for all the work

I agree, Trevor is serviceable but he's not the difference-maker they need
Unfortunately Madden player value/development logic falls embarrassingly short in recognition of these things
Oh my god, of course you lose to the 0-12 Browns HAHA!
it's not funny

Is it really a MrHurriicane series if our teams don't lose to the worst team in the league at least once? I kid but this set of games was rough today

I feel like Lawrence definitely earned another shot with solid play like that
Lawrence heard Cane say that he was sure the game was going to OT, so he threw that pick to make sure it didn't happen.

Madden 25 is on sale rn. So I had to buy it to do this with my Panthers
I’m pretty sure you can offer contracts during the playoffs, it’s just that the main menu option might go away.

Base scouting percentage this year is 60% vs the 50% it was in past games.
Wish my colts played like this in real life 😢
Spoiler block! Go Jags!
I like your AI generated description
Kicking myself for not drafting Arrington in fantasy this year
T Law’s final numbers aren’t even bad, but being a box score watcher really misleads how bad he is
