  • Easterly anticyclonic flow prevailed on this day. Like the day before, thunderstorms began forming when the east coast sea-breeze moved inland. Initial storms produced some nice and strong lightning bolts (possibly +CGs). Unlike the day before (when new cores formed on the upwind easterly side of storms), new cores were forming on the west side and storms propagated slowly west. Several storms became severe-warned. When the activity reached the west coast, itsb outflow interacted with the west coast sea-breeze and thunderstorms began forming and intesifying especially between Naples and Fort Myers. New cells kept developing northwards until the evening when a large cluster north of Fort Myers moved west and produced some very nice lightning and anvil crawlers before it dissipated just offshore.
