VICE meets up with Johnny at his brick and mortar store in Houston to see how business is doing in the star-studded week leading up to Travis Scott’s music festival, “Astroworld”.

I would never buy jewellery that expensive but god bless Johnny for hiring people that aren't necessarily experts. If you work for someone more than 10 years you know he treats and pays his people well. Props to him and his crew.

I can tell you first hand, I grew up in Sharpstown most of my life, where he started out. I remember his tiny little shop in the run down corner of the failing Sharpstown shopping mall. That man deserves everything he has if he was able to survive under those harsh conditions of running a business in that empty mall. He literally came from very bottom. I used to think he was all showy, but actually he is the opposite. He's a respectable hard hustling business man with a good sense of morals.

I don't see how anyone could say a bad thing about this guy. He treats his customers and his employees with respect. Seems like a real cool dude who built his business up by working hard. Much love and respect to Mr. Johnny Dang.
I love the way it shows that beyond his superficial side.. he helps these workers by training them, "not just giving them money" and it shows .People 15 years working for him . That is the testament of how the guy has a soul in-spite of how materialistic the diamond industry can get.
