There are many hotels cheaper than that but with good five star quality around sigiriya, kandy, galle, kandalama, katharagama and nuwara eliya. Be sure to check out for those bro❤️ Great to see you having a good time🥰🙌🏼

The Galle Face Hotel you are staying at is the oldest Hotel in whole of Asia east of the Suez. Many famous people and Movie stars have stayed there including Mark Twain.

Hi from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺have stayed there 4 years ago. Such a beautiful luxury hotel. A must place to stay!!! I loved loved 🥰 it. We had breakfast and dinner included in our stay. And the buffets they had one of the best 5* ones we have ever had.

I would love to revisit this glorious country one day. Memories of tea plantations, amazing food, beautiful nature and kind people. A train ride through the mountains is something you should do for sure!

Sri Lankan American here! Lovely video. We visited SL in 2019 and did a 9-day tour of the island with 14 Australians. We were the only two from the U.S. Cinnamon Grand Hotel was our home for 3 days. Would like to check out GFH when we visit the next time. There are so many great hotels in Colombo and even in other areas. With the easing of Covid restrictions tourism will pick up world-wide. Do tourists have to quarantine when they arrive in SL?

You missed the museum in the Hotel , its small but fascinating and you can Prince Phillips first ever motor car . Their afternoon high tea is marvelous. The $500 that must have been for your entire stay at a guess?
It is a beautiful hotel, the staff are lovely, I highly recommend the Scandinavian suite and visiting the museum in the hotel and of course afternoon drinks at the beach front bar. we made use of the hotel limo service.. it was cheaper than a ride-share in Australia. It is one of the oldest hotels east of Suez older than Raffles hotel.

When this hotel started most of these modern ammineteis not invented. But they have moved forward. My favourite hotel too. DO the galle face walk .& enjoy the street food stalls. Mingle with the locals there. New port city and one galle face mall & on baladaksha mawatha you will find modern city park with a food court. Plenty to explore in Colombo as well as all over srilanka. You will be surprised to see small island with so many different vibes for traveller's friendly. It seems that Galle Face hotel is a part of Sri Lanka's history rather like the Raffles is to Singapore. I would splash out for a night there just to check out the hotel itself. It seems it even has it's own museum on site. Great choice to stay there and thanks for showing us Mac.
