It's a bit confusing; "adoption" "begotten", "born of God", "received the Spirit of adoption", seem to be closely related, sometimes even one and the same. Romans 9:4 tells us "adoption" pertained to the Israelites, and yet Jewish believers were also said to be "begotten of God". When anyone receives "the Spirit of adoption"(Romans 9:4) aren't they given the spiritual new birth from above/born again/regenerated, at the same time? Is it possible that all believers are "born again", "born of God", "begotten of God"(1 John 5:18) by the Spirit, and adopted into into the Family of God at that same moment, because Christ, the "only begotten Son", now lives in us. This makes us also "begotten" sons, adopted into God's family, as a result of the only begotten Son living in us; we are one with "the only begotten Son".
Thank you.

Christ physically begotten of God and we spiritually begotten of God.
