I will say I saw Janet at her tour and I was so proud and in awe of her plus her concert was very affordable instead of charging people insane amounts in this economy I saw her in April and I was 5 rows away from her for 167.00 us dollar

Letoya Luckett was on the Terrell show last week (it's a great interview) She spoke about how being in Destiny's child took away her teenage years. They didn't get to go to the prom or homecoming. They couldn't hang out with other friends, no parties, nothing normal just constant boot camps and rehearsing and working and performing. Having all male background dancers and troop dancers was Janet. Dancing solo without any other dancers and still having our attention was Janet. Being covered from the neck down and still sexy as hell was Janet. Her first concert had all sold out shows. And every album she put out since Control was number one on every Billboard chart until that Super Bowl performance. Came back hard by funding her own promotional tours. Got a residency in Vegas and still rock the stage while being pregnant and over 50. A let’s not forget the Super Bowl President apologized and even invited her to come back and perform and she said “NO” 🤣🤣🤣 Janet is still Queen mother and Beyonce need to respect her elders. Love this video. Janet does not get her flowers enough. People do not realize the major impact she's had on almost every female pop, R&B and hip-hop artist. Also, UA-cam wouldn't even exist without Janet Jackson. The creator stated that he wasn't able to find a platform that had full enough coverage of the Janet and Justin Superbowl incident. So, he created UA-cam so that it could be a platform where people could share videos and commentary on cultural events.

My best friend William Ivory passed away Aug 2022 and let me tell you something HE WAS THE BIGGEST JANET FAN. He met her (Anderson cooper show Janet’s meets fan) and that was the happiest day of his life, when he died JANET remembered him and called his mom and spoke with her, gave her tickets to her concert and even made a post about my boy on her IG! Janet will always be number 1 to me for that, she is truly a good soul! ❤️

I do appreciate the accurate information on Janet being shared in this video. However, it never sat right with me that Janet gets compared or pitted against so many female artists, when she has always been a force in her own right. What saved Janet from Les Moonves's efforts to destroy her is that she is multi-talented. And every album she put out since Control was number one on every Billboard chart until that Super Bowl performance. Came back hard by funding her own promotional tours. Got a residency in Vegas and still rock the stage while being pregnant and over 50. A let’s not forget the Super Bowl President apologized and even invited her to come back and perform and she said “NO” 🤣🤣🤣 Janet is still Queen mother and Beyonce need to respect her elders. i don’t think Beyoncé’s comment was meant to belittle the Jackson’s. She has always been very honest and vocal about how she did not have a bad upbringing and was given a lot of support from her parents to work toward her dreams. I can see how Janet would not like the comment, but she has never really been one to do the public beef and back and forth. All in all, they obviously both respect each other, so we need to just celebrate both and continue to give them their flowers while they’re both still here!

Ppl wanted to push the Joe Jackson comparison on her father and knowing the dynamic between Joe and MJ it wasn't 100% accurate to describe Beyoncé and her dad. She wasn't getting her ass beat and wasn't forced into pursuing music. MJ was very vocal about his fear of his father and the abuse that he went through both physically and psychologically. That's just ain't her story and that is okay. Beyoncé's dad was a sergeant instructor but not a terrific abusive father figure tho

@@LadyArmand2000_ i think that’s just how you’re choosing to perceive it. she has another interview where she was asked about her upbringing and how hard she had it and she responded that she had a nice upbringing and that her desire to become famous was due solely to her love of music and want to push herself toward her dreams, not because she was pushing to make it out of a rough place or because she was coming from nothing. i don’t think that’s elitist, but rather kind of humble tbh
